《The Gods' Decree》Chapter 36 : An explosive send off

"Was my tale all that you hoped it would be?"
The Mouse had a cheeky smile as he looked at the now struggling man dressed in all black.
" You despicable excuse for a man. So this was a trap all along?"
"You lured me here to be devoured, you small bastard."
.....
" Look at you the pot calling the kettle black. Not the brightest of cultivators are you?"
He smiled as he looked at the now fuming elder.
" A wise general always knows to assess his opponent. Then draw up his battle plans in order to strike a swift blow or counter"
" How could I, one who only has the power to take on mortals, fight someone as powerful as yourself?"
" If you had taken a minute to think that point through, the results might have played out in your favour"
" I planned your demise the second I heard you were looking for me based off your seeming arrogance. Simply by drawing up my battle tactics with this factory being the setting to counter your power"
He continued as the blob seemed to have tightened its grip around the now pale elder.
" A few years ago, I read a journal that had open my eyes to your world. In that journal, I read tales of those who flew in the air like the wind and even fought as such"
" Now the first time I heard of your existence, it struck me as odd that you would seek mortals as your henchmen. From the previous tales, a powerful cultivator would not need to lower themselves to such level"
" I had figured out previous that just like us mortals, there must be those at the lower tier of the scale of your world. Your actions anonymous corpse number one ticked that box"
" So why wouldn't I attempt just like my predecessors to complete the task once deemed inconceivable."
" I'm awesome arent I huh?"
Mouse laughed as he thought of how he had defeated this powerful enemy.

A dejected Black spawn looked on as all his world qi had been absorbed and the Night went back to its warm temperature.
" unlike a wise general, you did the opposite and underestimated your opponent, which has brought us to this conclusion. Without lifting a finger you were defeated"
" Now I'll ask you a question and you'll answer. Your death is an absolute but I'll make it less painful if your answers are to my liking. How about it huh?"
He sat once more on the brick while looking at the struggling elder.
" My death is assured and I have no future. Why would I tell you crap, you bastard?"
The now captive elder shouted as he looked at the teenager who looked at him without any seeming regard.
" Actually that's where you're wrong. Being without any world qi, you are no more than a weak mortal now before me. If you ask your henchmen outside waiting, That is when I become an ominously terrifying existence"
Two hammers were taken from his back as he stood up and walked to the now defenceless elder.
" See this is the part I tend to love the most. Your screams of agony will make the cold blood in my body boil to its peak"
" Let me show you why being my enemy in this city, makes the doctors' pockets giggle with excitement"
He grinned as he looked on the exposed limbs of the elder.
"The first question, tell me the levels or realms of cultivation within your world"
His hand moved and all the elder saw was a hammer smashing towards his ankle.
CRACK!!!!!!
Screams of agony could be heard from elder as his right ankle had only a fine piece attached to his now wabbling foot.
" Oh seems I was tardy on that one. Let me fix that problem"
Smash!!!!
The two hammers pummelled once more to the elders injured foot.
" Aaaaah, even if death is before me, I will not give you the satisfaction in this lifetime"

A resolute response was heard as sweat poured from the forehead of now kneeling elder. He screamed as the pain flooded his body.
" Seems your going for the record in holding out on me, how noble indeed"
" The previous record was two shattered ankles and a knee. Let's see if you can take it all and make my night"
.....
Outside the factory confused faces could be seen all around.
First, the temperature seemed to have plummeted for no reason after the elder entered.
Only for a few minutes to go by and the once cold temperature went back to normal. That would be weird but not cause much of an alarm as what followed next.
Screams of agony could be heard from inside the building. To their surprise, however, it was none other than the devil like presence, the elder dressed in black.
" What the hell is going on?"
Sheldon dressed in yellow and white exclaimed as he heard.
" Is it even possible that Mouse won? How on earth could that even be a possibility?. When since could a mortal trample over one that cultivates? Are my ears playing tricks on me?"
Brent also exclaimed with his jaws opened wide.
" Someone pinch me as I must be dreaming. How did he do It?"
Gomorra looked on in utter amazement. It didn't matter to her who won but subconsciously she thought the mouse demise would have imminent. Yet he seemed to have won within minutes.
" How did he do it? and how on earth was it done in a matter of minutes? Did he bend the fabric of reality in some way?. "
She started to subconsciously shake as she thought of that youth with those two hammers on his back.
"If he can do that to such a powerful being, who are we to oppose him"
" Starting tonight I'll make my prepayment to him. Shit, I think I'll even double the damn payment. He is a true fiend that should be feared"
Steffan became the first to shout those words only to hear acknowledging voices exclaiming in a choir of agreement.
" Damn you say double, you are merely belittling Sir Mouse and his pristine name. My payments will quadruple in sum."
Brent the baldie stated with a straight face as he acted as he as if he was doing the nobles of acts.
"You're only trying to kiss up baldie and make us all look bad"
A hateful shout was heard by Sheldon as he berated the seemingly shameless Brent.
" Better to feed a carrot to a horse than to be the one unfortunate to be trampled under its hooves, I say".
They went back and forth as the tense atmosphere continued.
...
Inside, the factory harrowing screams could be heard and sounded as if not coming from the mouth of a human.
" See was that so bad anonymous corpse number one? You have impressed me with how long it took you to break under pressure"
" Hehe, After smashing your wrist and elbow, even I for a second admired your resilience,"
The mouse looked on the now bloodied elder with a combination of black and red all over his body.
" I'll see you in hell you bastard"
The now humiliated Black spawn looked helpless as he eyed the wicked fiend youth before him.
" If I were you I wouldn't wish such things. If I were to enter such a place, the devil himself would become my footstool. When that happens what would you be?"
The elder looked on the youth before him with seeming dread once more.
" I heard that in last moments you will know the true character of a person. Let's see if it is the same for those who cultivate"
" These are my last word to you"
"Ora stammer in cammino ed explode"
Nooooooooooooo!!!!
Booooom!!!!

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

The Pokemon Ranger
Summoned from his unjust suffering in the mundane world, Spike finds himself before Arceus, who opts to send him to the world of Pokemon with the request to assist in maintaining the world's harmony. Afterwards, Arceus sends him off with the egg of a Riolu who will be his partner along the journey. Next thing he knows, he wakes up with a headache in the body of a five-year-old boy in the middle of a forest in Hoenn. Thus begins the journey of a Pokemon Ranger who will come to be feared by those hiding in the dark of the Pokemon world.____________________________________________________________Author Note:Please keep in mind that this is an AU (Alternate Universe). I will be taking aspects of the Pokemon world that I find to be the most fun and enjoyable and editing some things as I see fit. The world will contain some elements and characters from the anime, manga, and games, but it will also have some original characters and a mostly original storyline. It will not go fully grimdark like some gritty parts of the manga or some more realistic fanfictions, but also won’t be all sunshine and roses like the games. Overall, I do want to keep the story on the lighthearted side, but there will be some more serious plots as well. About 90% taking the story seriously and 10% wish fulfillment, I suppose. Note: I am also posting this fanfiction on Webnovel. No difference on release times for chapters. Also, as an update because of the people who messaged me about the multiple transmigrators, the existence of other transmigrators won't have much, if any, affect on the main plotline (or the harem if that's what those people are worried about). There will only be a handful of interactions with a few of the transmigrators during some of the more dangerous scenarios I have planned. I don't expect this to change anybody's mind, but thought it was worth mentioning. Also, I edited the first chapter to make this more obvious.Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon or speak for GameFreak, Nintendo, or Pokemon. I'm just a fan having some fun in his free time.
