As Taf washed the plates, Little Sue applied some ointment. Even though it hurts and he grimaced after each touch, he tried to bare with it.

This ointment was made from a rare herb known as sweet grass and was said to be very effective in the healing of wounds, and had a mild effect on preventing infections.

He didn't mind the pain though as he thought about all the loot he stole.

"Damn! I should really keep a low profile from now on or else next time, it won't just be bruises I receive. The next time, they would probably want my life as compensation.

These gangs are not known for letting off their enemies, and I am guessing I've made it on their hit list by now.

More than likely, I have been mentioned to the higher-ups in their little organization."

He thought as he went about his business.

"I wonder what will be my score this time."

Taf was delighted and anxious at the same time as he tried rushing the washing and cleaning of the plates.

An hour later, he had finally finished washing up, sweeping the floors, and wiping the tables that the customers had dined at. He swiftly hurried up to his room in the attic without a second to spare.

First, he would take a bath, and then he wanted to see his spoils of war. After a couple of minutes, he sat on the bed with the cattle bag above his lap.

"Hmm...feels heavy. I wonder how many silver coins does this possess."

He swiftly opened the bag to see the contents.

In the cattle bag, he saw four purses and three pouches. The purses were from the females, and the pouches were from their male counterparts. He opened the first pouch and was disappointed in his findings of only two silver coins.

"You have got to be kidding me right now. How can someone walk around with this little money and dress so suave?"

He, then, tried to put away his disappointment and started searching the other purses. He had found in total of ten silver coins from all of the purses in the pouches.

"Well, that was not that bad! Was it?" he smiled and stood up.

"The men will be better off I'm guessing."

He was delighted when his hopes were realized as he saw a sum of 25 silver coin.

"Hmm...interesting! Maybe I can finally buy a book about the world outside of the city."

He has always been fascinated by the outside world. In the city, there were only mortals, and even though it is called a city, it is said that compared to the outside world this is but a small speck of sand in the desert.

It is said that due to there being only mortals in the city, it is not given as much importance as those with cultivators.

Even though there are no cultivators, it is stated that once every few years, cultivators descend in the city. They descend to see if there are any potential youngster fit to cultivate.

This is why Taf is seeking out to gain more knowledge on what it takes to be a cultivator and what does it mean to cultivate.

"Will I become a god among men if I cultivate?"

He was shaking with excitement at the thought of being a great cultivator, who was spoken about like Gods in the city.

"It must be the grandest of things!" He, wishfully, thought.
