Under the dazzling moonlight In the Balcony of the mansion was Emilia Everhart looking at the sky filled with Stars as if she was reading a book.

****Emilia Everhart POV***

Sigh* How beautiful.

i look at the sky filled with Stars glittering.

they shone with various size colours and hinges unhindered even with the intense moonlight.

I then looks at the constellations, various legends and stories has told us that they are a way the true gods communicate with the mortals.

I could feel some sadness and nostalgia as i looked at them, the stories about the constellations and the way to decipher them was taught to me by my Uncle, the courtmage of Myra kingdom.

Till now it was hard to believe he had passed away.

i look at the skies in the west to where the sun falls was an infamous yet beautiful constellation, 'Andromeda - The chained maiden'.

As beautiful as it was, it was a sign of a bad omen symbolising something terrible that will soon happen.

I then turned my eyes toward the East from where the sun rises, there was yet another famous constellations, ' Apodis - the bird of paradise'.

Contrary to Andromeda this was sign of good fortune, symbolising 'freedom',

just as it's name suggests ' as free as the bird of paradise'.

sigh*.

There was no way these two constellations appearing together would be coincidence.

Even from just knowing what they symbolise i could already guess what the True gods were trying to say.

The west symbolising 'fall' and east symbolising 'rise' coupled with Andromeda and Apodis it could meant only one thing.

" The chained maiden will be set free" i muttered.

" Amazing as always" a familiar voice rung out from behind.

a gentle footstep slowly approches and stood by my side.

There was no need to look, i already know who it was.

It was Richard.

" If only we could know who the 'maiden' is" he said.

He was right, we do not know who or what will be set free.

But there was one thing we know.

"But even so, we need to prepare, trouble is slowly brewing" i said.

He did not answer immediately, he sighted and said.

"Indeed."

We have been married for more than 5 years even then it was hard to predict what he was thinking.

I changed the subject and asked.

"have you found out anything about her yet?"i asked her what he had found out about Eva

I could see a slight frowned in his face.

The air instantly turn cold.

A blue glint appeared in his eyes.

This was the Richard that i know and loved.

The Richard that i truly adore.

Many peoples were fooled by his facade and goofy nature ,even i was fooled.

The nobles called him a playboy and an idiot with a screw loose in his head.

him? an idiot? If he was an Idiot then everyone in the upper echelon might as well be dogs.

He is the smartest person I have ever met.

Only few people knew him as who he really was the 'royal adviser' and the 'strategist'.

there are also some who also knows him as 'two faced Richard'.

Even his record of achievement that is kept hidden by the crown was enough to make anyone frightened.

He was also the main reason why i found Alterio's behaviour to be normal.

'Like father like son' they deeply resembles each other.

They were cold and ruthless yet sweet and soft at the same time.

he slowly took a sigh and said.

" She's a complete mystery, its like she materialize out of thin air".

I was a bit stunned by his words.

After all Richard's ability to gather Intel was top tier.

He manage to found out all the spies planted in our fief and their complete details and family details within a mere day but now he was having troubles finding the origins of a young girl.

This was unbelievable.

"Even I am a bit lost, their were no traces of teleport magic and flying magic being casted in our fief no trace of anyone entering the surroundings of the mansion,

no traces of anyone knowing her or even remotely resembling her..."

He then continued.

" As far as we know , she carry no harmful intent, no hidden intention, she is not a spy and She has no interest other then our boy Alterio, she's crazy for him, but taking in to account her sheer beauty and aura she might as well be an angel or another princess from a faraway country like you" he smiled and looked at me..

Although he was joking, why do i feel like he was right?.

i quickly put that thought at the back of my head.

After all As long as she no hidden intentions and was not a spy it was fine to let her stay.

Alterio was obviously lying when he told us about how he found her.

We acted like a goof and did not think too much.

He was our son and we trust him.

If he was lying there must be a reason, so we did not pry further.

After all could even be about how she was abuse or about her background that brings her bad memory.

But still, i glared at Richard.

Where could he possible learn to lie and fool people?

it was obviously from his father.

"wha-what is it?" he look at me with puzzled expression but i decide to stay silent.

Then i suddenly remember something.

" Then you must be here to tell me something important right?, come on, out with it, There's no reason why you should disturb my precious night relaxation tea time just to tell me you found out nothing about Eva"

He looked stunned for a while and but i can notice the frowned on his face increasing and air becoming colder.

" yes, I've finally found out What the ancient nobles of Myre kingdom are looking for in the border village".

The air turned serious.

The ancient noble families there have become really active in this passing years even to point of sending out soldiers to villages near the border even resulting in various skirmishes here and there.

Even though the ancient noble families are greedy, there is not much that could attract their attention.

It must mean there must be something of extreme value there, but whatever it was it was not good.

" what are those bastard looking for?" i asked in anger.

Richard already know everything about me so he was not surprised.

His face turned serious and said.

" It seems Another genius have been born there"

I was puzzled even though geniuses that surpassed the mass were rare there were at least 4 or 5 in a kingdom, it was not enough for him to disturb me at this hour.

But before I stated my opinion he then again started talking.

"But this time its not any ordinary genius, its another unique and not just any unique, one that rivaled Mia and Alterio".
