《Fire Dublin (A LitRPG Fantasi–Sci-Fi Adventure)》45. The Scarf

A cold morning greeted Runga. Everyone had done their own activities. Elisia was reluctant to open her eyes in this biting morning. Her body felt stiff and all her muscles ached. Elisia growled when someone called her name. Laziness made her not want to answer the call, but the voice kept calling her name.
Finally, Elisia opened her eyes. A purple-haired woman appeared in front of her. Her body swayed slowly with rough hands touching her. Elisia’s name kept being called. The girl rubbed her eyes.
“Vivi?” Elisia recognized her voice.
“Wake up, princess! Time for breakfast!”
Elisia straightened herself and sat for a while on the bed. Elisia turned to Vivi, who was sitting beside her. Her arms were gently massaged by the woman, and her muscles relaxed.
“You slept well this morning. The air temperature must freeze your whole body,” Province joked.
Elisia could not reply because her mouth dried. She glanced at the light coming in through the window; no sunlight coming. Elisia thought that Runga's sky was cloudy today. She also remembered that the rainy season was about to invade Tanggon's territory.
“Vivi, did I miss something?” Elisia asked.
“You woke up on time. Even Scott hasn't woken up yet.” Province massaged Elisia's feet. “I don't know what the weather forecast will be today, but I think it will rain later. The air temperature is also cold.”
Elisia took a deep breath, then let it out slowly. Fresh air entered her lungs. Even though she lived in a big city, Elisia could still breathe a clean air like in Grasswood. Elisia thought of Christ and Tevanny. She held the [Christ's Hairpin] in [Fire Pendulum] and gripped it.
“Is your body better?” Province asked.
Elisia moved to the edge of the bed and swung her legs. Then she moved her hand around. Her muscles didn't hurt anymore. Elisia answered with a nod.
“Let's go to the dining room! I've prepared a special Runga sandwich for you.” Province pulled Elisia's hand.
It forced Elisia to rush towards the door. Sleepiness still lingered in her eyes, making Elisia Could not see clearly. Province continued to pull her hand down the stairs. After that, the woman asked Elisia to sit down.
“The food is in front of you!” she said happily.
Elisia inhaled the aroma of the food in front of her. She rubbed her eyes again. Province served the food in front of her. Elisia saw it as a [Runga Sandwich], which contained lettuce, tomato, flat chicken, wheat bread, thin cheese, and mayonnaise. Elisia's mouth still dried to eat anything.
Suddenly, someone tapped Elisia's shoulder from behind. The girl turned and saw him sitting beside her.
“Dao? Are you awake?” Elisia asked.
“Yes. Dao has completed the booting process. All Dao’s locomotion tools are working fine again.”
“I am grateful to hear that. I can't bear to see your body removed by Upgrade and Rhino,” Elisia felt sympathy.
“Don’t worry! Dao is the robot. If one of Dao's hands lost, Upgrade will pair a new one.”
Hearing that, Elisia felt happy and ate [Runga Sandwich]. Elisia also remembered that she had not checked the stats since yesterday. But, there were no changes to it other than the addition of EXP. Everything had been seen and studying. Perhaps Elisia would focus more on the key stats to monitor her health.
The [Runga Sandwich] that Elisia ate was delicious with the combination of salty smoked chicken and savory cheese. Half-cooked wheat bread was crunchy. Elisia finished the food until there was nothing left. Province was indeed a reliable chef.

Until her breakfast finished, Elisia had seen none of her friends get up and come into the dining room. The girl curious about what they did last night. Province came from the kitchen while carrying the breakfast menu.
“Province, where is everyone?” she asked.
Just as she put the spoon in mouth, Province turned her head at Elisia's call. “Hah? They're still sleeping.”
“Eh, what did they do last night, huh?”
“I don’t know. When I woke up, I saw Scott asleep in the same clothes as last night,” Province replied.
“Dao doesn't know either. Dao is still booting up.”
Elisia stayed in the dining room to think about the knowledge read last night. Elisia also didn’t expect that the police officer who spoke with Scott was Captain Jayston, the person she would face in this region. Looked like Elisia's next fight would be the 'Boss Battle'.
While waiting for the others, Elisia checked her stats.

As she had expected, nothing had changed from her stats. Elisia only needed to complete the mission pinned to her in Runga. Such a feature had not existed before, and appeared when Elisia reached level 20. The girl wondered if her game stats had an error or if the system required Elisia to reach a certain level to unlock the feature.
While thinking about her systematic play, Elisia heard footsteps from the stairs. When she turned around, Risk walked down with his shirt unbuttoned. Elisia greeted him, making Risk turned his head. Province saw Risk's six-pack abs.
“Hey, put your clothes on properly! You're being disrespectful!” Province screamed while throwing the spoon.
“Yes, yes! Sorry!” Risk dodged the throwing spoon and buttoned his shirt.
Elisia saw Province's angry expression until her face became red and turned away from everyone. Risk didn't understand what had happened this morning, then sat down next to Elisia.
“What's wrong with her?” Risk asked.
“You're not wearing your clothes properly. Remember, this is not our house!” Elisia answered.
“Elisia is right. Be polite in front of the host! Upgrade teaches Dao about that.”
Risk sighed. “Okay. Sorry if I show my body in front of you,” Risk apologized to Province.
Province still looked away from Risk and snorted in annoyance. “You should know where you are, you bad boy! If it weren't for Scott, I would have kicked you out!”
“Eh, you're going to kick me out too?!” Elisia shocked.

“I mean, except for Elisia.”
After breakfast, Elisia walked into the kitchen to put the dirty dishes into the dishwasher. She wanted to be independent in someone else's house. Province came into the kitchen and approached Elisia, who had just pressed the On button.
Province helped her press another selection button. The machine worked. Then they sat down at the kitchen table to spend this cloudy morning. Elisia recalled the last night's question she wanted to ask Province.
“Vivi, may I know something from you?”
“Yes, my dear. Just say it!”
Elisia became confused how to say it. “Um…, I…”
“Will you like to ask about my message to Risk?” Province ensured.
Elisia surprised and nodded slowly. Province replied with a smile and touched both of Elisia's cheeks. The warm touch felt by the girl again, bringing her back to the good old days when she was a child.
...
Elisia walked in the middle of a neat brick road with tulips to decorate the scenery. Birds were flying and chirping happily on a very sunny day. Province took Elisia's hand to enter the flower garden.
She couldn't take her eyes off this scene. In fact, Province, or Fox in the past, carried her at shoulder height. Elisia could see the flower gardens clearly. After that, they went to the gazebo in the middle of the garden.
They had fun drinking. Province brought tea and crispy rye bread. The wind blew softly, bringing a calm coolness to the close togetherness of a little princess and the royal special archer squad.
After that, they faced the beautiful tulip garden scenery with colorful flowers. Elisia pointed to one of the flower buds that was far away and Province guessed its color. Elisia had lost that game because her eyes weren't as sharp as Province. As a law, Elisia had to obey the Province's orders for one hour.
...
So many memories entered Elisia's brain after Province's gentle touch touched her cheek. The sadness and emotion in her heart peaked again, making her forget the question. She saw Province's smiling face at her.
“I just want Risk to understand that you are here. You make the difficult long journey back to Gwelissa. You also know Risk well, so I entrust you to him,” Province admitted.
Elisia looked down. “So that's the reason Risk was shaking so much and asked about my past yesterday.”
“He asked you that?” Province surprised. “I just want him to think Elisia is a special person. I'm sure you're getting good treatment from that wandering man.”
Elisia chuckled. “Yes. You can say it like that.”
Elisia understood with all the memories she had seen. She would try to forget the past and walk in the future that will face later. Elisia wondered how was the state of her kingdom right now. Maybe Golden Shadow could answer this question.
After talking with Province, Elisia walked back into the dining room. Everyone seemed to have finished their breakfast. The girl greeted them and the hand wave she got. The girl climbed the stairs to the room to read [Telum Experto] again.
Since last night, Elisia hadn't stopped thinking about Captain Jayston's ability to use [Iron Cross of Executioner]. As she recalled, his weakness was almost non-existent. The only way to defeat a person who wielded this artifact was to focus on defense rather than attack.
Elisia closed the door after arriving in the room. She sat at the dressing table to brush her hair. Suddenly, the mirror revealed a familiar figure. The Golden Shadow stood before her. Elisia stared seriously at the figure, who had a face similar to hers.
“Golden Shadow, we meet again!” Elisia greeted.
“Looks like you already know my codename here.” The figure's voice echoed slightly. “I just wanted to say hello to you on this cold morning. Cloudy skies also hit the city of Kalay.”
“Can I ask you something? I know you're always watching you from this mirror.”
“You have good intuition, just like a queen.” The figure smiled. “I can't answer your question right now. Meet me first in the town of Kalay. See you later!”
“Huh, wait! You can't go!” Elisia was late. The figure had disappeared and turned into her own reflection.
Elisia found the writing in the mirror. She couldn't really read it because she wrote it in thin dew. The girl narrowed her eyes.
I will always wait for you, even though I don't really know you.
Elisia guessed that Golden Shadow was someone she knew in the past, but she couldn't recognize her. Apart from Province, there were no knights or any troops to play with her. This person, a woman, must be related to Elisia.
Elisia opened [Telum Experto] to see [Iron Cross of Executioner]. She discovered the artifact had one major weakness, which was an ability called [Calcification]. Elisia checked [Hex Aegis], but couldn't find the ability because it did not relate to her ability.
“How do I know this ability? Does Risk know?”
Elisia closed all the books and ran out of the room. Under these circumstances, Risk could be anywhere, especially in a large open area. She looked to the roof floor. The man was there with a cigarette smoked. The girl called her mentor. Suddenly, Risk slammed his cigarette and stepped on it until the smoke went out.
Risk turned his head. “What's the matter, Elisia?”
“Aaa… sorry if I disturbed your leisure time. Do you know the ability of Calcification?”
“Why do you ask that? You want to learn that ability?”
“No, I read about it in Telum Experto. I couldn't find any information about that ability, so I'm asking you,” Elisia explained.
Risk looked at the tall building and was silent for a moment. “I've heard of that ability before from one of the special forces members. This ability can control the calcium elemental nearby. I don't know the details, but that ability focuses on defense.”
“Can that ability be learned?” Elisia asked.
Risk held his chin. “I think you must have an earth base power to can control that ability, just like my members used to be.”
Elisia returned to the room with a disappointed feeling, but she remembered that there were five combat devices that could be used. Elisia had to learn five of the 'Seven Curses of Lord's Weapons'. She opened [Telum Experto again] and read the information on the sacred weapon one by one.
“The Chameleons, grant invisible abilities to the user. The Curse Lightning, grants the ability of an electric attraction such as telekinesis. The Spirit of Wilderlings, grants an invisible shield. The Head of Order, grants the ability to control other people. Last, The Heart of Primordial Soul, grants unlimited energy.”
When fighting Jayston later, Elisia would use the Holographic Shield to block his attacks and the Electromagnetic Core to pull or push him. She would use that method to defeat him. Now he had to search for those five devices.
With all the thoughts that weighed heavily on her brain, Elisia laid down to straighten her muscles. The cold bed made her comfortable. Elisia exhaled air from her lungs. The thought of the past and Jayston made her almost forget the routine.
“Now I've figured out how to beat Jayston. All I need to do is ask Scott to have another meeting.” Elisia sighed. “Oh my god, my head hurts!”
Someone knocked on Elisia's door. The girl couldn't stand up because of the comfort. She simply turned her head towards the door and shouting, “Just come in!”
The doorknob turned, and the door opened. Scott looked at Elisia, who was lying limply on the bed with a flat gaze.
“Are you still sleepy, My Liege?”
“No. I just finished reading a book and calmed my mind for a while,” Elisia replied, “Are you going to have another meeting?”
“Yes. 11 o'clock at the same place.” Scott walked out of the room after saying that.
Elisia's spirit returned. She looked at the clock on the wall; it was 9 o’clock. Elisia still had to wait a little longer. Elisia went to the dressing table to reprimand the 'Golden Shadow’ again. The girl knocked on the glass and called out her name, but there was no reaction.
“Hello, are you there?!”
No reply, no response. Elisia thought that the figure was going somewhere. The girl smiled to herself because she thought she was crazy talking in the mirror. Elisia took out [Telum Experto] to learn [The Curse Lightning] and [The Spirit of Wilderlings].
Information appeared before Elisia, like reading a large book.

.

Note: Obtain the object for more information.
.
These two sacred items' abilities were truly great, but Elisia had to possess these two items to obtain a lot of information. Elisia didn't mind that, because she was going to use that imitation of that item from technology. She had already gotten an idea of the abilities of those things, now she had to look at two devices to match his abilities.
After finding it, Elisia closed [Telum Experto] and searched the contents of the room she was in. There must be things that Province was hiding. Elisia only found a few pairs of shoes and a scarf. Nothing strange or suspicious.
“I wonder where Vivi put her old things,” Elisia thought.
Elisia sat on the edge of the bed to catch her breath. She looked at all the things she found in the room. Nothing special, everything looked like second hand, but a purple scarf she found caught her eye. It had 'Fox' written on the seams.
Elisia's memories rose again. The scarf she holding was a scarf given as a thank you from Elisia's parents for Province’s services in caring for their daughter. Elisia remembered how happy Fox, or Vivi, was to receive a gift from the royal family. Since then, Fox had never removed the scarf from her neck.
Elisia hugged the scarf and inhaled the cloth. Her nose was itchy and sneezed. Elisia had forgotten that it had been in that room for a very long time. There was a lot of dust stuck to it. Elisia folded the scarf and placed it on the table.
Suddenly, someone came into the room after Elisia put down the scarf. Her expression turned to surprise and her face turned red.
“Vivi, what's going on?” Elisia asked shakily.
“I heard a noise from your room.” Province saw the pile of shoes that Elisia found. “Oh, did you bring this out?”
Elisia nodded. Province also saw the purple cloth neatly folded on the table. Province approached and took it. The woman's face changed to one of shock. She hugged the scarf tightly. Elisia thought that Fox was thrilled about holding the scarf again.
“I think I saved it properly. Apparently I almost forgot about it,” she said.
“Because you reminded of my parents?” Elisia confirmed.
Province nodded. “You are right. This scarf was the single most beautiful memory I ever had while being your nanny and playmate. I promised to take care of it, but I already broke it.”
Elisia hugged Province from behind. The woman surprised. She turned her head back, sobs coming from Elisia. Province also felt the warmth of the little princess's body. Province didn’t need to hear anything from Elisia, because the princess's heart was very honest.
“Fox, thanks for being my friend. I hope we can repeat the time and play together,” Elisia said, “I had no time to count the number of grasshoppers you caught that time.”
“You didn’t have to count them anymore, because all the bugs had flown back into the tulip garden.” Province knelt down and spread out his arms. “Come here, My little princess!”
Elisia cried again as she ran into Province's arms. Elisia felt her pendulum radiated a comfortable heat. Even though she would leave Province one day, Elisia promised to see her again when she returned to Gwelissa.
The warm moment ended. Elisia wiped away the tears that were already running down her cheeks. Province helped her with the cloth she was carrying. Elisia's breathing had improved again. Province smiled at the little girl she had raised before.
“Don’t be sad again! The past is still the past. We live in today and will face the future. Elisia, you still have a long way to go in life. I hope you are strong like your mother.”
Elisia nodded. “Thank you for taking care of me then and now. You never change.”
Province held Elisia's cheek and smiled. “I remembered that Scott wanted to meet you in the little room by the dining room.”
“Is there any problem?”
“I don’t know. He asked me to tell you.”
