With her eyes closed, Elisia could see nothing. All she could feel was her hands being tied and her body hanging. The girl felt pain in the two arms that hung down her small body. Her ears could hear the movements of several people nearby. The girl heard several footsteps approaching her.
A hand removed the blindfold. Elisia could see the shape of the people who caught her, even though her vision was still blurry. Her eyes glanced here and there, a slightly dark room with lighting from petrol and torches. This blonde-haired girl looked ahead, five people standing in front of her.
“Wake up!” The voice came from the blurry silhouette in front of her. Elisia recognized that voice.
The girl tried to clear her vision, and the figure in front of her became clearer. Apparently, it was the person who led the attack on Risk and her this afternoon. Elisia looked at the window. It seemed like it was getting evening.
“You're finally awake,” a voice said that Elisia knew as Fraaman. “How does it feel to be hanging like that? Can't fight back?”
“L-let me go!” Elisia said rather softly.
“We don’t finish our business with your friends and you. You think that you're already great with that ability?” Fraaman lifted Elisia's chin.
“A person like you... deserves it,” Elisia replied.
Fraaman pushed Elisia's face hard. “You think what you've done to my men makes you greater? You were just lucky to have met Risk that time.”
“Please stop!”
Everyone turned and bowed. Fraaman walked back from Elisia after seeing a dark, blocked figure from the building's passage. The figure walked closer to Elisia, who looked weak because of Fraaman's actions earlier, plus her hand was getting hurt in a hanging position.
“Come on, be nice to our guest! We've worked hard to get her here.” The figure spoke in a rather strange accent, and there was a scraping sound of iron from every movement.
The figure looked into Elisia's eyes. Elisia could see the face covered by the iron mask and the terrifying fiery red eyes. Figure's eyes widened, and the red radiance from his eyes dazzled Elisia's eyes.
“Looks like we're not dealing with just normal person. I'm sure I can take advantage of you,” the figure said as he turned around.
Fraaman was curious what the figure in the red coat meant and approached him. “Boss, what do you mean by that? What advantages can we take from this little shit?”
“Speak politely in front of me!” The sound of the figure's shriek echoed that made everyone startled and lowered their heads. “Be patient until her friends come to save her.”
This figure left behind everyone who was guarding Elisia. Fraaman turned back to Elisia. He pulled Elisia's chin again.
“I don't know what my boss see in you, but we'll make sure that all my friends won't be able to get you out of here alive.” Fraaman pushed Elisia again.
With her body swinging on the ropes, Elisia glanced at everyone around her. There was nothing she could do but wait for her friends. Elisia closed her eyes and looked down. She thought of her friends while feeling the energy flowing from the pendulum. The girl might use the ability, but she didn't know how yet.
Elisia looked at [Hex Aegis], which Fraaman was reading. An idea crossed her mind, though she didn't know if it worked or not. She stared at the book for a long time. It focused her mind on the book. Suddenly, the book burst into flames. Fraaman shocked and threw the book on the dirt floor. The fire from the book went out instantly.

Fraaman approached Elisia with annoyance, according to Elisia's thoughts. “Hey, stop toying with me!"
“I can only read that book, and bad people like you don't deserve to read it,” Elisia said.
Elisia swung her right leg and kicked Fraaman's genitals. The man fell to the ground in excruciating pain. Everyone approached Fraaman and helped him up. She could hear the moans clearly enough to made Elisia smiled.
Half sick, Fraaman looked annoyed and took the iron rod that one guard was holding. He swung the stick until it hit Elisia's left waist. The girl groaned in pain. Fraaman swung the staff again, and it hit Elisia's right waist. A scream escaped from Elisia's mouth. She felt excruciating pain from the impact of the hard object. Elisia checked the stats.

Satisfied with hitting Elisia, Fraaman left the room. All the guards straightened up. Elisia saw those who didn't look like humans, but looked like dolls made of iron. The more pain she felt from her waist and wrists. The girl relaxed all her muscles.
Elisia gave up. She was sure that her friends would come to save her. She just had to wait for that time to come. The thought that she was a burden came back to haunt her mind. If she hadn't caught, they might have already left the village. However, Elisia didn't want to think about that anymore. She shook her head to let the thought go, but one guard caught her actions.
The guard approached her. “What are you doing?”
“Eeer, nothing. My body just feels sore, that's all.” Elisia made an excuse.
The guard left and returned to the starting position. The sounds she heard from every joint of the guards sounded the same as the figure in the red coat. Elisia became curious about who these people were.
The day began to night. The sky was showing signs of darkening. Elisia was still hanging in the middle of the building. Her hands ached so badly she couldn't move. Elisia worried that her stamina would decrease while she was like this. She had to get out of the bondage.
Elisia tried a slight movement of her wrists to loosen the knots. But, the guards watched the action. Elisia had to stop every time their eyes turned to her. This would be very difficult for Elisia. Waiting for her friends would make her suffer even more. Elisia thought deeply and tried to remember something.
An information suddenly appeared before her. Elisia remembered that it came from [Hex Aegis].
(The power of fire can burn anything near it, even they can untie bonds, soften iron, to clear fields.)
From that information, Elisia got an idea. She glanced at the ropes that bound her hands, then she close her eyes. This girl wanted to channel the heat energy from the pendulum into her hands, hoping the rope would burn and release the bonds. With full confidence, Elisia continued to concentrate on the heat energy flowing through her body. Her hands felt hot, and the smell of burning rope wafted up her nose.
The rope was getting more and more burned. Elisia was a little worried about whether the guards smelled the smoke. Sure enough, one guard turned to her and approached this girl. Elisia opened her right eye, then opened all of her eyes to act as if nothing had happened. Sweat dripped from Elisia's forehead. The guard's footsteps drew closer.

Suddenly Elisia heard a commotion from the front door. All the guards turned to the door and approached them one by one, including the guard who wanted to approach Elisia earlier.
Elisia sighed and continued to concentrate on the rope. Smoke continued to come out of the rope, showing embers. The fire eroded the rope. Elisia flowed more heat energy. However, she felt weak from the excessive body heat. The girl tried to hold her until the rope fell off. Finally, the rope caught fire. Elisia could untie the knot and fall onto the straw ground.
Elisia had difficult when moving her body because of excessive heat storage. She cannot run if the guards saw her. Sure enough, one guard saw it and called another guard. They approached Elisia with their blunt weapons and surrounded Elisia from all sides. This girl didn't know what to do, other than wait for her body temperature to return to normal.
Her eyes continued to pay attention to the guards standing around her. The guard standing in front of him walked towards her, and his hand reached out to Elisia face. Elisia closed her eyes.
Unexpectedly, Elisia felt that someone had attacked the guards. She could hear bodies falling to the ground. Her eyes opened, the sight of a lying body greeted her. Someone approached her. Seeing the black robe he was wearing, Elisia smiled.
“Looks like they hurt you, but you could defend well.”
“Risk, you come!” Elisia said quietly.
Risk carried Elisia to take her out of the hut. “Time to go! Your body is so hot. Did they give you a fever?”
“N-no…, I just…”
“We have to get out of here! They can find us before Dao takes them any further!” Rhino said, who appeared from the back door.
Suddenly, the front door of the barn exploded. Risk and Rhino immediately turned to it. They could feel the electrical energy emanating from the door. From behind the smoke of the explosion, they saw a figure in a red jacket with fiery red eyes. His body had electricity flowing from his jacket and left hand was carrying a sword. He didn’t come alone, four guards whose appearance differed from the guards in the barn, and carrying a stick with electric energy at the end.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa! I can't trust Fraaman to the care of our guests. He's too bad for these great people to infiltrate and take our guests away,” he said with a strange accent.
Risk smiled. “That's why I can't trace your aura. I don’t think that you cooperated with these bandits.”
“They are just puppets to fulfill all the wishes of Ursa Empire and me. After all, that girl will be my source of income.” The figure pointed at Elisia with his sword.
Rhino stepped forward with his shield in front of his body. “What do you want from our Liege?”
“Liege? Has she shown her superior power now? Oh, you guys are really lucky to have met her. I respect all of you.” The figure bowed.
“You're going to free her?” Risk asked.
He raised his head. “Free her? Don’t be easy in me. I have a business dealing directly with her. I hope you understand, moreover I'm sure you already know who she is.”
Elisia didn't understand their conversation. Everyone said that she was the queen, even though she had never stepped foot in the palace. Elisia became curious about who she was before she became like this. All she remembered was that she was a Dublin.
“We also have business with her, and we used to find her. So, she is ours!” Risk said in reply.
“In that case, I will snatch it from you!” The figure brandished his sword.
“Risk, who is he? Why does he say like he knows about me?” Elisia asked.
“The bandits call him Elektra. A mysterious iron-bodied figure who loves to stun his enemies with electricity. He's sly, but I don't like his annoying robotic accent,” Risk explained. “Rhino, get Elisia out of here! I will take care of him.”
“Okay!” Rhino stood in front of Elisia and pushed the girl back from the battle.
Risk and Elektra looked at each other. Risk drew his two swords. Elektra raised her right hand to head height. The four guards who were with him came forward and lit their weapons. Risk ran towards them quickly. The man launched a surprise attack at the guard that could knock out one person.
Risk continued to attack the remaining three people. He dodged and resisted the attacks of the iron-bodied people. With his abilities, Risk defeated them. Elektra widened his red eyes. Electricity seemed to run through his body.
“You beat my people. How great!” Elektra released a strong electric wave. That ability drove risk. Rhino put a stronger shield on his shield to protect Elisia.
“I will defeat you myself! All for the sake of the Ursa dynasty!” Elektra advanced quickly and swung his sword.
Risk immediately stood up and resisted the attack. The man could feel the electric energy flowing from his opponent's sword. Risk pushed Elektra's sword and jumped back. Elektra's right hand collected electrical energy.
“Every livings has its own resistance to electric shock. I wonder how strong you can withstand this electric ball.” Elektra threw an electric ball from right hand.
Risk slashed the ball. He felt an electric shock on Risk's body. Some of his muscles weakened from the attack. Risk sat for a while until his strength gathered again. Elektra walked up to Risk with scorching electricity everywhere. Elisia, who saw it, wanted to help, but always blocked by Rhino.
“No, Elisia! Elektra is the dangerous person. Don't go there!” Rhino banned.
“But Risk will die at his hands! I can't stand here watching his suffer!” Elisia said.
Elisia didn't know what to do, but seeing her friend in danger made Elisia's heart furious. Unknowingly, Elisia radiated heat again. Rhino turned his head and felt stifled until finally got away from Elisia. The girl was holding the pendulum, her fiery [Dulin Spear] came out. Then, she ran towards Risk, who almost attacked by Elektra. Swiftly, Elisia swung her spear at Elektra. The attack hit Elektra's right arm, but it didn't leave any damage.
Risk surprised. “Elisia, what are you doing? Go away, you will get hurt!”
“I can't let this bad guy hurt you. I have to help you!” Elisia rejected.
Risk smiled and stood up. “Looks like I can't stop you! Let's fight together!”
Elisia got a warning message she think was important. A red writing decorated in front of her and Elisia thought it is not good.
“Warning! Warning! Warnings!”
“Minor Boss Detected: FR-568 Elektra, Level 54”
Elektra's eyes shone even more. The mask with the smiling face vibrated and his body emitted a lot of electrical energy. His electric color even turned red.
“I underestimated you too much. I will treat you seriously!” Elektra said as pulled out his two electric swords.
Elisia tightened her grip on the spear. Her gaze focused on Elektra. Risk also stood beside Elisia to help her fight. Elektra re-energized his body and instantly released a Shockwave. Risk stood in front of Elisia, then slashed through the waves, creating a scrap. Risk lowered his head, followed by Elisia, who jumped from behind and swung her spear. Elektra blocked the attack.
Elisia pushed Elektra's sword and started slashing at his iron body. But, the attack didn't do any damage. Elektra clenched his fists while gathering electrical energy. The iron man threw a fist, but Elisia could dodge it. Suddenly, Elisia used the (Molten Flame) skill to redeemed Elektra's body. The action inflicted considerable damage on Elektra.
Elektra jumped back from Elisia, and his eyes continued to stare at the girl's body. Elisia stood in a stance, ready to attack in anticipation of a follow-up attack. From Elektra's mask, a somewhat hoarse laugh mingled with disturbing sounds rang out.
“You guys are really great! I feel comforted by your presence.” Elektra collected electrical energy throughout his body. “The game isn't over yet. I'll take care all of you!”
Suddenly, an object thrown at Elektra and stuck to his body. He heard a small sound, then it created a small explosion. The explosion made Elektra cannot gather energy and kneel on the ground. After that, someone entered through the front door of the barn. Elisia saw it, then smiled.
“I should have known that you did all this.”
In his limp body, Elektra looked back. His red eyes widened again.
“Upgrade?”
Their greeting confused Elisia. Another question mark appeared in her head, but she couldn't let her guard down. Elektra was still alive and won’t give a chance to attack.
“You better stop all this! You had to be used!” Upgrade said.
Elektra tried to stand up and face Upgrade. “You think you can influence me with those words? Ursa gave me a lot of things I wanted just by taking their word for it. Even though I created by humans, I could still get a profit from them.”
“They corrupting your system,” Upgrade muttered.
“In that case, we will make you reach the profit quickly.” Risk walked towards Elektra. “It's probably going to hurt.”
Suddenly, Elektra released a powerful surge of electricity capable of knocking anyone away from him. Elisia hit the haystack, so she didn't feel any pain. Her eyes immediately fell on Elektra, who continued to emit electric waves. She could feel static electric shocks on skin.
Elektra stepped towards Elisia with the waves still radiating. “If you can still fight, stand up! I know you've learned a lot from that stranger.”
Elisia saw her friends who couldn’t stand up because of the strange waves. Now only she left. Like it or not, Elisia must fight for her friends.
“Alright, I will fight with you! It doesn't matter if my blood has to be drained here, as long as my friends are okay,” Elisia said with a fire aura radiating without her knowing it.
Elektra narrowed his eyes, then advanced towards Elisia quickly. The electric sword swung towards the blonde-haired girl. Elisia sharpened her vision. The sword seemed to attack her from the right. Elisia tilted the spear to the left. She could hold the sword.
Elektra took back by the movement, then swung his right sword from overhead. Elisia dodged to the left and attacked Elektra strongly. The attack hit Elektra's face until part of his mask cracked and also dealt heavy damage to her opponent. Elisia could see that her opponent's HP had decreased a lot from the attack.
With her existing abilities, Elisia dashed towards Elektra with her spear ready to be swung from the left. Elektra, who saw it, immediately jumped behind Elisia. The electric sword struck Elisia, causing the girl to be pushed.
Elisa stood up again and continued to thrust. However, all of those attacks can blocked by Elektra. In retaliation, Elektra only took two heavy slashes at Elisia. It threw the girl out of the barn. She felt pain in her left arm from the attack. She was sure that her Max HP must had decreased a lot.
Elektra walked haughtily towards Elisia, who was still lying on the ground. “I'm really flattered by your abilities. I want to kill you right away, but I won't get anything.”
Elisia tried to stand up, but couldn't because her legs were weak. Blood continued to flow from her left arm, plus electric currents continued to flow through her body as long as she was near Elektra. However, she couldn't give up. She tried to stood up with the last remaining strength. Then, her spear pointed at Elektra.
“I may be weak and cannot do anything, but I can't let my friends suffer. I will… beat you!” Elisia said that with a growl.
Elektra rushed forward and swung his two swords. This person was confident that he could defeat Elisia, especially since he had made her unable to swing. He got closer to the girl; the sword swung at her. The sound of his sword clashing with something. Upon seeing it, it surprised Elektra that Elisia was holding back his attack again with spear.
Elisia's spear emitted flames. She pushed Elektra so hard that it threw him against the barn wall. Elisia dashed towards him with the fire spear, which activated the [Molten Flame] skill. The flames looked scary. Even Elektra, who saw it, couldn't move. The spear swung and hit Elektra's entire body. Most of his body crushed, plus it cut his right leg off and slammed into the ground.
Finally, Elektra had defeated. He couldn't move anymore. Elisia smiled at him. Her vision blurred and her eyes felt heavy. With her pain all over, Elisia fell to the ground. Her blurry eyes could still see her friends running towards her. A message appeared in front of her.
“Congratulations, you defeated FR-568 Elektra!”

The boy who fell in love with a tree
This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. If you see a glaring error I would appreciate a msg but it is not feasible to fix everything. And if the story offends you, I wish you happiness, reading what you enjoy. ------------- Img link: https://unsplash.com/photos/EwKXn5CapA4
