《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch.41 Wheels Start to Turn

After we left the planet we flew to our next destination, the planet Hyperion. This is one of the major planets of the galaxy and produced and traded all over the galaxy. It also contained the headquarters of a major merchant group along with its leader. This group has willingly helped the traitors in their acquisition of goods and people. They would now be judged by me.
Though a commercial and production hub of this region of the galaxy, its defenses are largely weak. It mainly used mercenaries and organizations to help defend the planet. This was stupid for a variety of reasons. The main one being that the mercenaries are not that loyal to the planet. They also are not as equipped or trained for the defence of a planet. Though they are still useful for doing more private and personal matters.
With those reasons as my fleet appeared in the system the governor immediately surrendered to me. This made my job very easy as my troops then moved to the planet to arrest many criminals around the planet. They also provided aid to the poorer members of the planet. I then went to the headquarters of the merchant group.
I entered the building with my guards and started to walk to where the leader of the merchant group was at. No-one stopped me as I walked through the building. I walked to the top floor of the building and entered a room that had two large ornate doors. Inside the room, there was a large desk that had a tall and lanky man sitting at it. Behind him are his secretary and two large bodyguards.
He looked up from what he was looking at and stared as I walked to his desk. As soon as I arrived before him he started to speak. "Helle there ma---"
He was interrupted when I grabbed him by the throat and threw him to the floor. As soon as I did this the troops and guards that I positioned around the building started to come in and arrest people. I heard shouting coming from down below as people were being arrested. The two bodyguards tried to attach me but were stopped and subdued by my guards. Another guard then went to arrest the secretary but she attacked him when he tried.
She was also quickly subdued as well. I then went over to the desk and pressed a hidden button that opened up a door. I walked through the door and entered another room. This room contained a small teleporter. Turning it on I then transported to another location. I arrived at a cave deep underground. As I stepped off of the teleporter a group of people started to attack me.
Not in the mood to play around with them, I conjured up a couple of beams of light that pierced through each of their hearts and brains. They died instantly. I walked through the cave and came upon a large group of people dressed in robes. I was surprised at seeing them as they were The Chosen. They all wore grey robes with a green symbol in it. The symbol was a collection of eyes all grouped together.
The only difference between the cultists here was that some of them had the eyes on their robes shut. These were the initiates. The more eyes that were open on the eyes meant that you were more enlightened and of higher position. The group turned around as if sensing that I was there and just stared at me. One of them walked forward and started to speak.

"Who are you and what do you want?"
"I am me. Who are you?" I replied.
"Do not play games with us. Your reply just means you are a sheep. Leave now or die." A different person replied.
"Oh? Now, who would be able to kill me?"
"I will." A person walked up. He was a middle-aged man that was well built. He looked at me like I was nothing but a bug. This ticked me off.
"Then come at me you disillusioned pieces of shit." My words were spat with venom. They carried themselves as if everything was beneath them and not worth their time. They were arrogant and prideful.
The middle-aged man then walked up to me and sent out a right jab. I let him hit me. He hit my face but failed to do anything more than disappoint me. I then hit my palm against his chest and threw him back. He hit the wall of the cave and smashed into it. Rubble covered him as he just laid there.
Seeing this happen the rest then sneered at the place where the man laid then turned to me. "It looks like this sheep is more like a dog." These words triggered me for some reason. I didn't know why but I definitely didn't like being called a dog.
I used my telekinesis to pull the man that spoke to me and grabbed his head. I then looked him in the eyes as I surged the man with 'holy' energy. I found out how to use this special type of energy while I was experimenting with the power of faith. This surging of energy made the man light up like a lightbulb as light beamed out of his eyes and mouth.
I let him go after a few seconds and he fell to the ground. He looked like he did before I did anything but he didn't move at all. He stared blankly at the ceiling of the cave with no life at all. The rest of the group was shocked at what happened. After getting out of the shock they then turned to me with hostile eyes. They all pulled out weapons of different kinds.
Some started to charge at me while others started to fire at me with their guns. I created a field around me that blocked the shots while letting in the charging people. I then created a javelin of light and started to throw it at them. The javelin pierced through multiple of them at a time. I kept throwing the javelins at random people one after another. I wasn't even going that fast, only throwing as fast as a normal person could.
Still, this culled a lot of people that had charged at me. I also threw some at the shooters that then exploded into light shards that pierced and killed other people. Some of the charging people then got close enough to me to start attacking. One person slashed down that produced a slash of fire. Another person slammed their hammer down on the ground that created a large crack in the ground that went toward me.
Another person made themselves lighter and faster and started to slash at me with multiple wind slashes. The other people each used their own moves and techniques trying to kill me. Seeing the moves coming at me I decided to do something I saw in a movie once. I put my hands up in front of me and started to yell out.

"UNLIMITED POWER." As lightning started to stream out of my hands. The lightning then stuck each of them and struck their moves as well. They all fell to the ground as lightning streamed through their bodies. Some tried and failed to scream, while others succeeded.
This lasted a while until I stopped. When I did they all died from….. Shock. Badum tss. I then sent out small beams of light that killed the rest of them. Moving on I search through the rest of this cave system. I found some books and ledgers in one part of the cave that had some decoration.
I then found a statue of someone that wore a robe that had one giant open eye on it. I then turned around to find a person that looked exactly like that statue standing before me. They were slightly shorter than me with their body features hidden by the robe.
"Now who are you?" I asked.
"I am the Grand Apostle of the Gods." They answered. Their voice changed constantly. One second it sounded like a man, while another second sounded like a child. "Who are you?"
"I am Alpha. It is a pleasure to meet you." I said with a simile on my face.
"Are you? I have met another one that said the same thing, though they did seem to be very unstable. They also felt unnatural and incomplete. You on the other hand feel very complete and more in tune with nature and the universe. Your species is very weird, very in tune with the universe. I tried to figure it out but couldn't. Very strange."
"Is that so. Sadly I can't say the same for you. You seem to be very corrupted or influenced by an outside force. Very peculiar. You should be dead by now. Everything about you seems to be slowly decaying. Your soul isn't even fully yours anymore. I am sad about your predicament." I said slowly, shaking my head with a sad face.
"Ah, you may call me corrupted but I say that I have been purified. My body may be slowly dying but that is the price I have paid to be given salvation. If the gods hadn't given me their blessing then I wouldn't even be alive today." They spoke with obvious devotion.
"That may be so but what about the pain that you constantly feel. It must be maddening to constantly feel your own body destroy itself. Slowly consuming itself in a desperate attempt to keep you alive."
"That is of no concern. It just reminds me to be thankful to my gods for what they have given me. You may also be given a blessing if you join us. Be free from the constraints of society and embrace the destruction that will come. Join us and be welcome. Join us and be powerful." They said while putting out their hand.
"I will have to decline that offer. But we will meet again as I slowly tear down your religion. If it wasn't so destructive or arrogant, then it could have stayed and possibly thrived. Sadly that is not the case."
"I see. Then you shall face destruction and become nourishment for the gods. Farewell, we shall meet again. One way or another." They then just vanished. It was like they weren't even there, which they weren't. They had projected their spirit or soul through the statue. I would meet them again.
I then looked through the rest of the cave finding nothing. I then placed compressed balls of UE around the cave. I then walked back to the teleporter and went back to the headquarters. The bombs them exploded seconds after I left causing the whole cave system to collapse and destroying everything else.
--3rd person.
After the UE bombs had exploded destroying everything and causing the cave to collapse there was something that happened after the dust had settled down. The Apostle that met with Alom before reappeared again. They looked around and shook their head.
"It's a shame really," they said speaking out loud, "it would have made everything easier if he just joined us."
"It never would have happened," spoke a new voice coming from everywhere. The voice boomed out in a deep voice. "That species would never join us. Even at the peak of our power, we were unable to get even a single one of them to join us, and that was before this Alpha came along."
"Then what about the other one that called itself Alpha?"
"Don't bother. It and its creators will die when that one gets to them. Plus even if they do join us it would be worthless. They would never fully submit and can't even be used as nourishment. They tainted themselves through what they did and we don't want such spoiled food. Now come back, we have work to do. You need to be prepared for when you face him again. Otherwise, you will die."
"Yes my lord."
The Apostle then left the destroyed cave leaving it quiet and empty. The cogs of the universe started to move. More and more started to move as events started to come into motion. Heroes and Villains would rise. People will be saved and damned. Secrets uncovered and found. Ancient beings waking from long slumbers. Powerful people coming out of hiding. Gods waking from their sealing and slumber.
Everything focused on one person. Fate and destiny trying to influence him yet failing. An aura of majesty and power radiating off of him with a tinge of divinity forming. He walks forward into the future and will not stop no matter what.
