《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch. 26 Travel and The Librarium

We have been traveling for a couple of days at full speed. The Indomitable could go a lot faster than the other ships but the rest of the ships are still quite a bit faster than anything the Federation had. While traveling I talked to my crew and asked about their lives. I was trying to get to know at least some of my people given that the rest of them were dead or somewhere else. They told me about their lives aboard the cruisers and their experiences. It was very interesting.
During this time, I also sparred with the more combat-oriented crew. They could beat my ass. I had only lived for about a year and some. They had lived 50 years at the least. They had also been trained from birth and while they did learn some medical skills and some other things this was a very limited amount. Most of their time had been spent honing their combat skills. Still, I trained hard, and whenever I wasn't doing something I was sparring with one of them. I grew rapidly while doing that. I showed why the Alpha would be the top at what they did.
After a couple of weeks, I could stand toe to toe with them. My UE training also improved greatly. The eldest among them could still beat me, though not easily. I then trained the second part of my UE absorption method. The first part continually improved my base and my physique, the second part would mainly train my soul and mind to allow greater usage and availability of UE. It would also give me a better view of my soul and the ways I could use it.
The days passed and I continued to train. My progress increased by an insane rate. By the time we neared the coordinates, I could take down even the most experienced members of the ships. We could teleport across the ships using the Spatial Shifting tech. I also reached the third stage of my UE absorption. My body was going to become more like my mist form. This process was done by replacing my body with extremely concentrated UE. This didn't make it UE based but rather infused with the same type of energy that the most form was. Now when we switch from the mist to a physical form we switch from the template of the forms that were in our soul. The mist would solidify and let the biological matter grow from it before storing it in our soul.

We could heal ourselves by absorbing the damaged physical matter back and letting the most spew forth then having the repaired matter grow back and absorbing the mist back. The mist and the matter are both connected but are ultimately not the same. What I was doing was making them the same by having the UE help the process. By constantly making my physical vessel stronger and strengthening my soul this would make the process faster and easier. It would also allow me to strengthen the body and soul at the same time as the mist was more intimate with the soul.
It would also allow me to combine the advantages of both forms; the ability to hold things and the UE control and absorption. This would allow me greater flexibility and control over the vessels and allow me to use my soul more efficiently and to greater effect.
I told the crew and the other ships what I was doing and isolated myself in my room. Once there I centered myself and started the process. The process was excruciating, it was the most painful thing of my life. The other lives within me saw what was happening and were startled at what was happening. They could tell what type of pain I was going through and would later tell me that none of them would be able to handle it.
This process lasted for 48 hours. I nearly stopped several times during the whole thing but doing so would have killed me. I trudged through the pain and pulled through. My soul was being strengthened the entire time. Finally, the process was completed, my body collapsed and I fainted. I woke up a couple of hours later in the med bay with several instruments scanning me. I moved them away and got up. Someone tried to stop me but I told them I was fine.
My body felt better than ever. I could control the UE with the same efficiency as if I was in my mist form. My body also felt stronger than ever. I left the med bay so that I could get used to my newfound strength.
A week has passed and we arrived at the coordinates. When we entered Main Space we saw nothing. We were in the void between galaxies. After a few moments, the space in front of us looked like it was warping. Our ships were then pulled into the warping. We could do nothing as this happened and could only prepare as best as we could.

Once we traveled through the warping we saw an entire solar system. Multiple planets and a yellow sun the size of the Sol Systems sun. We were dragged to a planet with a spaceport that surrounded the planet. Its moon possessed an impressive amount of armaments that could wipe out fleets of ships. This was the Librarium. This planet contained vast swaths of information and knowledge. It also contained the main way to access Erendial.
This place is extremely important. So important that the entire system was weaponized. All of the terrestrial planets had armament that could wipe out fleets of ships. Moons had been turned into factories that could turn out ships upon ships. The gas giants also formed a giant shield that could be projected across the system or around the planets. In case everything was breached and the access to Erendial was in danger the sun could be forced into a supernova and the planets would create a shield funnel to direct the energy to the planet destroying everything.
This was a show of how advanced the Empire was. Though the defenses hadn't been upgraded or added to even in the time of the Empire. They believe that it would be sufficient to protect the planet. After all, while ships might have been protected by their shields the planet and anyone on it wouldn't. I would have to upgrade the defenses when I had the chance.
The ships were placed in the spaceport where several other vessels similarly were docked. These were Empire ships. I told the crews to stay on the ships while I left. As I left the ship I was approached by an android. It told me to follow it so I did. It took me to a shuttle and boarded it, I did as well. The shuttle then traveled down to the planet and landed on a landing pad in front of a large and heavily fortified building.
I followed the android inside the building. The whole planet was very peaceful. The planet, while having a large number of large buildings still contained its natural resources and wildlife. This made the planet have a peaceful and natural feel to it.
Inside the building, it contained a vast amount of books all contained in giant bookcases that preserved them. It also contained a vast amount of furniture to be used for reading. I followed the android down the vast halls of the building. We arrived at a giant door that the android motioned toward. I thanked the android and went up to open the door. I pressed my hands against both of the doors and spoke the ancient passcode that would open the doors.
'With knowledge comes power. With power comes responsibility. This place shall be a haven for those with the responsibility to use the power stored within these halls. Should they not, then may they be punished for misusing the power that was given.'
It was the promise of the Librarium.
Once I spoke the passcode I pushed against the doors. They opened easily and I traveled beyond into the depths of the building. I walked down a winding staircase that led deeper and deeper into the planet. I walked for hours until I came upon a lone stone door.
Walking up to the door I opened it and entered into the space beyond. Beyond the door was a vast expanse that looked like someone cut a piece of the night sky and placed inside. A woman stood before me. She was dressed in a long flowing dress that showed nothing. She was quite beautiful and had a smile on her face.
We stood there staring at each other before she spoke.

Hush | on hold
"Your name?"When I stayed silent, he repeated himself. "Your name?""Jeyri." I let out quietly."And last name?""Rae...""Jeyri Rae..." He crouched down next to me and moved the hair from in front of my face, "I dislike when things get difficult, I end up doing things I'd much rather not do. Do you want to know what happened to the last person who made things difficult for me, hmm?" He asked, leaning into me. Is he talking about me calling the cops? He pressed his gun against my head and frowned, "You get it don't you?"I nodded quickly. "Good... And if you tell anyone what you saw today, I'll know." He pressed his finger against my lips and smiled, "So hush."
