《Lich God Deidre》Chapter 15 – Succubus Queen

Tina sat me down in our room and glared daggers at me. She stood up, paced about, then sat down and glowered at me again. Then she looked down at the floor and put her hands on her head. She rubbed it, then rubbed it harder, then grunted and threw her torso back onto the bed. “How the fuck am I supposed to compete against the queen?!” She palmed her face. “The queen, Deidre? Why?!”
I froze because I wasn’t sure what face to make. What does she think I did? I’m, confused. Why is she mad?
She rolled side to side making languorous sounds. “I hate this…”
“Uh,” I scratched my cheek, “can you be a little more specific?”
Another groan escaped her. “I like you, Deidre! Isn’t that obvious by now! Ugh, why do I even like you? You’re a lich!” She suddenly sat up. “Are you? Why do you feel so human? It’s weird. Ugh!”
I still don’t get why she’s mad! Damn, lady, give me something to work with here… “U-um…”
She sighed and took a deep breath. “Like I said, I like you. But we hardly know each other, right? It’s not like we’re officially in a relationship. But it’s too early for something so serious anyway. I didn’t want to be a pain in the ass who gets clingy after a one-night stand! But, shit, why are you meeting with the queen? Have you seen the queen? She should be locked away forever and never see the light of the sun again!” She folded her arms.
She’s, so incoherent… “Um, I’m not really good at, social cues…”
Tina’s head rocked back. “You idiot, I’m saying I’m saying the queen is pretty and I’m scared she’ll take you away from me.”

“Oh!” Well, ‘pretty’ is a major fucking understatement there. “You liked me so much all this time?”
“Yes! And I’d have never told you if you weren’t an uncultured lich who wouldn’t figure out shit about humans unless I told you directly!” She fumed.
I wasn’t sure if to feel insulted or if to feel appreciative that she thought about my position. Ugh, I mean, I’m getting to like her too but isn’t this a little too fast? I hardly know anything about this girl. I mean, I’m setting up myself to be a teacher instead of being on the front lines if a war was to happen, so I’m contributing without putting myself in danger. I figured I’d be safe to pursue a normal life, and that included a love life.
C’mon, Deidre, one foot’s through the door. Please, corny movie lines, don’t fail me now. I leaned back and propped myself up with my arms on the bed. “If the queen bothers you, why don’t you make me your own then?”
She looked at me from the side, twiddled her robe’s sleeve and contemplated, then gazed at me again.
That session was particularly, intense.
God she’s hot. I thought about her moans and trembling body on my way to Queen Ayana’s quarters. The coin she gave to me worked like a VIP access pass and the guards let me go to her.
As expected, she wore some sexy lace lingerie covered by thin satin robes. She poured me a glass of wine, and there were even beautiful scented candles giving the room a rather soothing and seductive vibe. She sat on her bed, gracefully crossed her fine legs in front of me, sipped her wine, and undid the single button of the robe that kept her mountains’ bare skin from sight.

Why do I feel like I’m thinking with my vagina? I was about to sip the wine, but decided against it. When she unbuttoned her robe, I saw a familiar green fang tattoo. “So, you’re a demon. I guess that explains the ‘master’ thing earlier today.”
She stood up and walked over to me. “Indeed.” Her robes dropped to the floor on the way to me and her eyes sparkled for just a split second.
Suddenly my heart began beating faster, and my hands naturally went up to her hips. The minute I touched her smooth skin, it felt like a pleasant wave washed through my entire body. I pulled her down onto my lap, and she didn’t resist in the slightest. In fact, she leaned into me and her breasts smothered me. I mashed my fingers into them, and her moan felt like it raised that visceral reptilian part of my brain.
But in the end, I knew what she was, and thus, I was a bit more prepared. I was a Lich God after all, an immortal existence that mastered many high-level spells. My grimoire gave me the information I needed on her after I left the castle yesterday. “I see now.” I laughed. “Now I understand how you have so many people wrapped around your finger now that I felt Charm for myself.”
“So, you know,” she said in her vixen’s voice. “Well, whether or not you knew, I never intended to keep it from you. I wouldn’t dare to ensnare the person that my master has taken an interest in.” She whispered into my ear, “But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves, does it?”
Forgive me padre, for I have sinned in my thoughts. “Well, as much as I want to, I’ll have to pass. But, just asking for a friend, can you teach me some succubus spells?”
“Of course, honey. But, how about we get down to business first?” She stood up and put her robes back on; it made me so salty because that lingerie gave me a mental boner. “So,” she had another sip of wine, “demon invasion. I’m from the Darkviper clan in the demon lands. We were the ones who put through a request to surveil the village.”

Marakar
Far from the exploration he yearned to go on, Rae, the Kijah prince, finds himself in the middle of the impending war between Kijah'dar and Ga'ani. Unknown to him, or to the rest of the states, the Kijah Magister plots to overthrow the queen, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his plans. Marakar is a fantasy adventure series about the island states of Mar’narana (with focus primarily on the two states, Kijah'dar and Ga'ani). Tensions between the big players are rising, with more and more plots getting revealed, and powers are unexpectedly shifting. As the string of seemingly unconnected events grows taut, the smaller nations suddenly find themselves into the midst of things, struggling with the sudden shifting of their boards. On a more meta note, I am trying to develop two storylines parallel to each other. As you might have noticed, odd-numbered chapters are very different from even-numbered chapters. That’s because those are the two different storylines; odd-numbered chapters are in the present, while even-numbered ones are in the past. Once the two eventually meet I'll continue with just the present storyline. This story can also be found here where it currently updates every other Sunday (about twice a month). Feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read. :) tw/cw list (please take care of your mental health! Don't force yourself to read these chapters if they may harm you). -------> Chapter 14: hate crime description.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
