《Angel | ✓》49 - Deal

It was like a breath of fresh air.

Everyone looking at me with shock, fear evident in their eyes but all I felt was freedom.

Something had snapped in me and now there was no holding back.

My wings rose from my back and everyone's eyes stuck to me like glue.

"You're dead." I cursed, my wings towering over me, making the small man tremble under my gaze. My smile only grew wider. I threw a punch at him, making the man immediately fall over and scream in fear and pain.

I rip off the rim of my dress my dress and tie up my hair, raising my fists to challenge the oncoming policeman, jumping over the barricades, fear stained in their eyes.

I swings my fists, left and right, making grown men fall to the floor crying in pain.

I use my heels to impale six men, and the groans of people on the floor only get louder as they pile. I couldn't control my body anymore, it wasn't controlled by me, but by my anger, by my rage.

I yell uncontrollably as I rob a policeman of a baton and start to knock out one by one like flies.

I was a monster now. Nobody had even seen this side of me; neither had I. But now I was unstoppable. Nobody would see me coming.

A bullet would miss me by miles because I would be gone once the trigger of the gun sounded. In front of them in a second until they dropped to the floor after the metal of their own gun would knock them out.

At one point there was a bullet that scrapped my hip and I pried towards the cause, like a predator towards its prey. He doesn't back down and it only makes my heartbeat faster as I knock him down and watch his face deteriorate in pain as I start to hit his face, so much so, it didn't appear like one with all the blood drooling over his blued skin.

My dress was stained with the blood of others, the stench of revenge filling my nose and I couldn't help but smile in triumph.

I step over the litter of bodies on the floor, unfazed to yet another man charging towards me but stops as I kick up my knee to hit his ground and he falls to his knees instantly, groaning in pain and I disarm him of his gun calmly, feeling myself regain my consciousness.

I check it from side to side and then step back over Francis and everyone freezes but I ignore the stares and rip even more of my bloody dress off.

"It's going to be okay darling," I whisper, not sure if I'm saying it to comfort him or myself but I didn't care at that moment.

I heard guns cock all around me, not allowing me to move anywhere without the possibility of getting shot. My wings instinctively and tense at the sound of clapping hands. "Quite a show if I do say myself Collins." A loud voice booms, I don't turn around but look at the boy standing in front of me.

He held a gun to me, a bit closer than the other. He wasn't confident with his stance. It allows me to kick the gun out of his hand and into mine.

In a flash I turn around, the gun in hand now held high at the source of the voice. It's a women surrounded by armed even more men, guns raised at me and fingers on the trigger, ready to shoot me at any given moment. But as I stare the woman in the eye, she smiles, but it isn't of greed, power. It's of knowing that she had won. She raises her hand, and the men immediately lower their guns down. So, she's the boss.

"Collins. You know you're at a disadvantage, but we can get Francis the medical help he needs, but all you need to do is follow my lead." She says calmly, her hands by her side to show that she holds no threat.

Wearily, I still hold my gun but lower it, knowing she was right. I was weak and they had both of us in a venerable state, and as much as I wanted to leave, I couldn't abandon Francis now. "And what will I have to do?"

"You'll be in custody whilst we interrogate you." My lips thin. I can lie. But how far would they be willing to go to make me tell the truth. I had no choice.

"I accept." I say putting out my hand quickly, obviously too quick for the liking of guards since at least 10 have me at gunpoint now. The woman looks at me with serious eyes, her eyes blue but not like mine. They were navy blue, like her uniform but held a depth of seriousness and I knew that I would be seeing her more in the future.

"I'm looking forward to working with you." she smirks and takes my hand, both of our grips' firms as we shake. And as I suspected she reached into her pocket, cuffing both of my hands to which I don't resist but flinch as I feel the weight of my wings burdened by shackles, making me grunt lowly.

If Francis could get the help he needed, I needed to cooperate.

The woman nods and turns around, the team of policeman surrounding her and following into the police car. As chained, I followed along behind the line of enforcers. Also surrounded by eyes.

Everyone watched me with fear in their eyes, students that I used to sit next to, teachers that I would bicker with in class. They were all in shock whilst other tried to comfort them. But I looked past those people and only looked at my friends.

They looked so terrified; unlike I had ever seen them. Tyler was frozen with shock, still having his face bloody, one of his eyes swollen, but none the less he looked more betrayed then hurt. There was then Chelsey and Ally were crying their eyes out with each other, only stopping as they see the handcuffs on me. Ollie just stood there and quietly tried to comfort them, tears falling down his eyes none the less.

And then there was Leila. She was the only one who was silent, no fear evident in her eyes, not anymore. Her eyes were shattered with remorse.

We made eye contact and I shared a small smile until I was pulled away from the crowd. There was flashes and I cringed away at the sight.

It seemed the news had spread fast and there were reporters flashing their cameras at me, trying to get the newest scoop.

I yell at police surrounding me to stop them, and the police finally get the message and block the cameras, demanding they stop until I get into the police car.

I watch as the ambulance arrives, and Francis is reluctantly lifted onto stretchers by nurses who were shivering as they had to hold him down from getting up and he screamed until he was finally sedated and taken away.

I sigh and watch the red and blue lit car speed away, leaning my head on the window, my wings still shuffling in the uncomfortable chains.

The car doesn't move so when I shift my eye to the front, I could see the commander from before looking at me through the rear-view mirror. She looks like she's searching for something, but I don't show it. I scowl at the mirror and turn away, so she finally starts driving.

As I shift in my spot, I wince, grasping onto the area that had been skimmed with a bullet. I press my hand on it to try and numb the pain and it works but I could feel my body trying to shut down to stop it and I had to fight it.

The car ride was too long, and after a while my tiredness allowed the darkness to consume me whole.
