《Angel | ✓》35 - Flashback

The man's eyes never wavered from Valentina as she danced on the floor.
Francis was so madly in love with her that he didn't even notice the girl slowly approaching him, drinks in hand.
"Francis..." her sickly-sweet voice made his teeth clench but none the less turn to the blonde in turquoise now in front of him.
She looked almost identical to his love, and he didn't like that. The only difference he could see was the devil in her eyes.
"Sienna." he spat like it was acid on his tongue and her small smile frowned a little.
She gave him a drink casually and sat on the seat next to him on a stool, fiddling with her hands, nervously.
"Francis. I'm really sorry for what I did to you so many years ago. It was out of line and extremely creepy that I did that. I wasn't in the best place but now I've been seeing someone and I'm feeling better and have gained the confidence to say this to you. So please accept this apology." she says of what sounds sincere.
The gang leader looked down on the girl, not knowing whether he should still trust her even though he could see the supposed regret in her eyes.
"Okay." is the only thing he murmured as the man swirled the glass filled with alcohol in his hand.
The two sat in an uncomfortable silence for minutes and with the barbie staring at him intently.
Francis drunk some of the liquid given by Sienna to pass by the time, burning his throat as he swallowed it and as he did the girl hopped of her chair and excused herself, to go the bathroom or something, he didn't care.
The glass in hand was large but Francis managed to down within a few minutes. He didn't care about the amount of alcohol he had since there was a sort of immunity with his modified DNA.
But now there was a different burn running throughout him. It was more toxic, and he wasn't sure what to think. It was hard for him to get drunk, but this might do it.
After waiting a minute for the finished drink to set it, his vision started to become blurry and the music in the bar room seemed to increase. His head throbbed from the loud booms, and he stumbled out of his seat, wanting to get away from the crowds. The halls were quieter, and it was nice.

The winged man, leaned on the wall, about to light a cigarette. His vision had become blurred, and his hearing was fuzzy, then when he was just about to put it in his mouth, a voiced echoed from the door of the bar.
"Francis!" it cooed and when he turned his head it seemed to be Valentina.
"Angel?" he questioned, and she hummed in response leaning into his arms and he pecked her on the head with a kiss noticing that she smelled more sickening, probably from the girls that brought her to the dance floor.
Suddenly the girl pounced at him and kissed him passionately, him reluctantly doing the same back to her. She hung her arms around his neck and then pulled away suggesting going into the bedroom and lay down.
In the back of the gang leader's mind, it was warning him not to go, but with his drunken state he followed her and pulled her onto the bed, kissing her deeper. The kisses trailed down to her neck and he didn't stop as he heard the door of the room creak open.
Out of the corner of the man's eyes, he saw the same turquoise dress as he was on top of. The woman stood weakly at the sight of them, the faint glint of tears rolling down her face.
'It must be Sienna. I'm glad she saw us.'
It wasn't Sienna watching us, it was Valentina.
Meaning I kissed Sienna.
I gagged at the thought of it and my hand gripped onto my desk so tight that there was a crack to be heard.
I hadn't done anything about it. That night, my love, saw me kissing another woman. But what did the other drug in my system have to do with that?
Wracking my brain, I tried to think of how Sienna could've drugged me then it all clicked in my head.
The drink Sienna gave me, it was spiked with Ecstasy and then she wore the same thing as my love to imitate her.
How could I be so oblivious to her?
If I didn't trust her and take that drink, none of this would've happened if I didn't trust that pathetic apology of hers.
But she doesn't know that I figured this out yet. So, I may as well invite her to the basement.

Its already night but I have no time to leave this situation alone. I walk down the hallway to the basement but as I do everyone's eyes are on me and their mouths are covered as they whisper to each other.
"Did you hear what he did?"
"I know, I feel so bad for her."
I shot the pair a glare and they shut up as I arrive the basement and I walk in there looking for Alex. He was at the end main room and talking with other familiar voices. Stopping before I entered to see who it was.
Listening intently, I figured it was Alex, Quinn and Xavier talking about Valentina and me.
"-with Sienna!" Alex shouted angrily
"I can't believe he would do that to her." Quinn uttered obviously annoyed, and Xavier hummed in agreement.
"That idiot really messed up." he grumbled. Okay, that's pushing it.
Walking into the room, it goes quiet, and I make eye contact with everyone there. Quinn looks at me blankly, and Xavier and Alex glare at me.
"This 'idiot' is your boss." I snapped back but that didn't stop him from looking at me in disgust.
"She did nothing for you to do that to her." he said pointing his finger at me accusingly, but I reminded death staring at him. "And you are doing absolutely nothing to get her back." he yelled.
Holding up my hand he stopped, huffing with anger but I sat down calmly at the table in the middle of the room.
"Not yet I'm not, because I was trying to figure out what Tara was talking about now. I figured that I was drugged." I said blankly and the whole room went quiet. "And before I go and get Valentina back, I'll be killing that bitch that messed with me,"
Alex's head perked up at the words and Xavier's shoulders relaxed, but Quinn remained quiet. Glancing over to her, I could see that she had her lips thin, as if she was holding something back.
Dismissing her from my mind, I told Alex to get Sienna over here. I ordered Xavier to get trackers onto Valentina immediately and he left the room leaving only me and Quinn in it.
"Quinn." I started but she just glared at me, revealing her glossy eyes, making her quickly look down.
I walked towards her as I got closer, she practically jumped out of her chair to push me away.
"It's your fault!" she cried, tears now running down her cheek. "You're the reason she's gone!" she yelled, and I closed my eyes to calm myself down and then looked back at her.
I thought of Valentina and what she would say. It would probably be something wise, like herself.
She's looking for someone to blame, the most obvious victim.
That sounds like her.
"I was manipulated, and you know that." I said in a low voice, and she put her face down, letting her tears fall on the floor freely.
"I know..." Quinn whispered sadly, and I put my hand on her shoulder, not knowing how to comfort her.
"We'll get her back." I reassure her and she nods with a sad smile and wipes her tears away.
"You better." she laughs dryly and walks out of the room.
I will.
I lay in my bed.
It was cold and empty without her here.
I turned my head, half-heartedly expecting her to just appear next to me and comfort me.
Dammit.
I've become too dependent on her and now it was showing. I couldn't do anything without her.
I felt useless. I'm weak.
Why did I even take her in the first place, it was supposed to be an easy in, out, operation but I had to stop when I saw her.
She was like a drug that I got addicted too and now it had stabbed me in the back.
I did this to myself. And it was all a mistake. A singular girl, that had left me, made me feel weak and that went against what all of this was for.
For revenge of those who hurt me, to those who took my childhood.
So why do want her love, her touch. For her to be always next me?
