《The fashion consultant | Sherlock Holmes x Reader|》|Chapter 28:I'm bored|

I'd woken up early in Sherlock's bed. He of course was still asleep. He's never been a morning person. Sighing I let out a yawn standing up and went to the kitchen to boil the kettle. Humming a soft tune while listening to the kettle boil I stood in a haze for a few minutes until the noise dulled down. A tea was made and I sat myself down on Sherlock's comfy chair cross-legged while reading another one of his books. John's wedding was only a week ago. Sherlock hasn't gotten a case so I've had to make sure to finish work quickly every day to ensure the house wasn't burned down.
Going to drink from my mug once more not looking while flipping the page it was empty. Curse this book for being so engaging. Sighing I stood heading for a shower but just as I opened the door to the bathroom Sherlock came out of the bedroom.
"Good morning." He grumbled in response and with a roll of my eyes, I went into the bathroom turning on the shower. Not hearing a word from Sherlock It wasn't until I'd finished rinsing out the conditioner from my hair that the bathroom door swung open. Sherlock's frowned face didn't falter when he shut the door removing his clothes. Being greatly confused I went to turn off the water when he grabbed my hand.
"Sherlock if you needed a shower so badly you could have just said so." Still, he didn't say anything and stepped into the running water next to me. "What's gotten into you?"
"I'm bored." And with that, he smashed his lips on mine.
This was the first incident of the day. It happened again after breakfast where he thought it'd be fun to do it on his chair in the living room. Followed by the kitchen and in his room. Every time he'd say he was bored and when I tried shrugging him off he'd keep at it until I gave in. It wasn't as if I didn't enjoy myself, heck it was great but this wasn't the way you should spend your day. The two of us panted on the bed now in my apartment naked and spread across the sheets. "Sherlock, what's gotten into you? And don't say boredom." He smiled at the ceiling before turning to me.

"I am bored." I lightly punched his shoulder with a smile on my face. "It would be this or harpooning a dead pig again." Sighing I rolled over wrapping my arms over his chest.
"I suppose I prefer this." My muffled voice made him chuckle.
"And we could go again, this time against the wall." I scoffed at him.
"How are you still prepped to go. Most men can't last two rounds and you've managed to go four in the past five hours."
"I'm not most men." I let out a breathless laugh and lent up to kiss him softly.
"You sure aren't."
....
"Christmas with my parents I can't think of anything more annoying." Sherlock was going off again. Letting out a huff as I stood tugging him with me towards the car he frowned at me. "We could be doing cases right now and instead..."
"We're having quality time with your family. I'm just happy they invited us." John said sternly as he hopped in the back seat of my car ignoring Mary who was heavily pregnant. Rolling my eyes dramatically I watched as Sherlock opened the door for Mary.
"At least there one gentleman around." I murmured to myself making sure to peck him on the lips before taking my spot in the driver's seat. "This is going to be a long ride." I breathed out starting the engine.
....
I'd just come down from upstairs when I heard Mycroft bickering with his mother and spotted Sherlock reading the paper. He showed a small smile to me when I walked in. The moment I walked in I was passed a drink from Sherlock's friend Wiggins.
"Uh thanks," I spoke looking into the punch. Sherlock was staring into the distance and when he glanced back at me he looked away once more. I hummed to myself placing down the drink walking over and sitting down on his lap."What are you up too?" I questioned and he turned his head to look at me.

"Nothing why do you ask?" My eyes squinted to look at him.
"If you don't want to tell me that's fine. Just let me know why you want to knock everyone unconscious later alright." I let out a long sigh standing up going back over to the glass and raised it up for him before downing half of it. Sherlock came after me before I could make it to the fireplace.
"I didn't want you to get involved. I want to keep you safe." I smiled softly at his words.
"I know." Sherlock kissed me softly just as his father opened the door.
"Oh sorry." He chuckled and Sherlock pulled away from me slightly. "I'll just slip by." He pat Sherlock's shoulder leaving for the other room. Sherlock showed me an odd face and I smiled."He's proud of you." I poked his side.
"Of course he would be I've got you by my side." I giggled kissing him once more. "You should find someplace to relax." Letting out a sigh I nodded.
"Fine, just don't do anything stupid and don't smoke too much." He raised a brow at me and I did the same to him."Only one." Rolling my eyes I went to the fireplace where John and Mary had finally made up. "Finally stopped being the prick I see?" I breathed out walking into the room making John chuckle when turning to me. But the moment I sat down my eyes flickered shut.
