《Stop That Hacker!》Chapter 46

I walked back into the house hoping my happiness could be contained to a normal level. I cannot have my brothers noticing anything.
Like I predicted Kai and Ace still hadn't moved from the couch and this time Rehan had joined them.
"Did you settle things with Remi?" Ace asked.
"Um yeah yeah. All is great now." I smiled. "What are you watching?"
"A new french TV show about a conman. We just started this one." Rehan tapped the couch and I joined them. There might have been million other things my mind was rushing to think about but for some reason I wanted this peaceful moment to last forever.
***
Monday Morning
Ace drove us to school and we separated as always. Today the weather was colder than ever. The sun was out but it had teeth. The wind prickled my cheeks and no amount a scarf wrapped around my neck was keeping me warm from the cold air.
This better mean snow.
I hurried to class and once I got inside the classroom I pulled out my thermos taking a sip from the warm cookie smelling tea.
"Is that coffee?" Remi walked in the classroom and dropped her bag on the desk next to mine.
"Sorry tea." I passed her the thermos but she declined.
"I need coffee. I had to stay up all night studying for the make up exam and practice my speech for the presentation."
"You'll do great as always. You panic too much. You even make me stressed and then get better grades than mine." I took out my books and my phone and placed them on the desk.
"You don't understand my parents and their exp...." As she was talking my phone buzzed and a notification popped on the screen.

"How is your display pink?" She grabbed the phone and unlocked. "Eehh!! It's pink! Your phone is awesome. Girl how?? Tell me !!"
I smiled proudly. I knew she would love it.
She pushed her hair back and bit her lips. "I am loving this pink style. What app do you use?"
I came closer and whispered. " The Lucy app."
Her eyes widened and she turned towards me slapping me on the back. "Oh my god." another slap." Oh my god!! Girl! When? How?"
FIrst of all ouch. Second of all... "I don't know what came over me on Friday, but I invited him over and one thing led to another. He did that for me. Also we are back together. I think."
She opened her mouth and then closed it. "You waited to...whole weekend...Uh-uh. No way." She took her bag and started gathering my stuff. "Get up right now. You are not gonna make me wait until recess to tell me the whole story. You skipped a whole weekend to tell me such a juicy story. Get up.We're ditching class."
She almost dragged me out of my chair but Gracy, one of the girls in our class accidentally bumped into Remi and pushed her back into her seat.
"Oh I'm so sorry Remi. Are you okay?" She turned around to check on her and then saw my phone. "How is your lock screen that pink?"
I smiled proudly. "Oh well..."
"Oh you have to tell me." She smiled and sat down. "Did you jailbreak it?"
"Her boyfriend did it for her." Remi bragged for me. "The boyfriend I almost didn't know she had." She gave me a side eye.
I gave her a glance of disapproval.I get it. This is revenge for waiting..but... What if this gets around and Ace hears it?

"Boyfriend?" Gracy freaked out. "When? How? How long have you been dating? Tell me, tell me!"
Gracy was the type of girl that was so charming everyone liked her. Remi and I liked her as well. She was a like minded soul who was dying for juicy romantic stories.
I hesitated.. "Well recently. But isn't he so talented." I smiled, showing off my phone. Well, bit of bragging wouldn't hurt.
"Is he from our school?" She asked, even more excited.
"No. He is a senior in another school." Remi answered. "They met in a cafe watching a romantic movie together." She gave me a subtle wink.
Gracy nodded as she was hearing more details about it.
"And your brothers don't know?" She asked.
I shook my head. "No. no. And don't spread it around. I don't want them finding out."
Gracy nodded. " Don't worry about it. I can only imagine how awkward it would be if your brothers knew him. Or even hanged out with him."
I bit my lips. Yeah.. just imagine..ha-ha.
She laughed. "Like wouldn't you find it awkward if Remi dated one of your brothers?" She added.
BOOM.
Just like that a thunder hit and heaven opened their gates for me. THANK YOU GRACY. This was the best opening opportunity I could ask for. Never in my life did I think I would be so lucky to have an opportunity fall into my lap until today.
I glanced at Remi who was waiting for my reaction.
"Of course I won't find it awkward. If she likes any of my brothers she can date them. Even better if she marries them. Then we can be family." I glanced at Remi with a smile and then at Gracy. You will never know, but I'm eternally into your debt .
Gracy nodded. "But Francy, what if they break up?"
Remi bit her lip. "Yeah what if we break up? Like a really bad break up where we talk shit about each other and curse everytime we see one another."
"First of all. That will never happen. You're not that type of person. " I smiled. Knowing how avoidant Kai and Remi were and low in public display of emotions. That wasn't going to happen.ever. " As for breaking up.If that happens it happens. It just wasn't meant to be." I turned towards Gracy. "My friendship with her and her dating life are too separate matters. At least she won't regret trying it. Besides as we grow older I doubt anyone would be bothered by stuff like this. Especially after we graduate." I answered.
Remi was silent. I could tell she was contemplating things.
"Gracy I'm so glad we had this chat." I smiled.
"Me too. We should talk more." She smiled and then we talked some more until the teacher came and class started.
