《Only You》Better

When we got home I let Gabriella go get ready for bed. I kicked my shoes off and I grabbed a coffee cup. I needed to get to work on the new orders I got in the other day for work.
One day I wanted to own a photography gallery. I wanted to have one to walk into and be the boss in.
"Mommy can I watch tw?"
"Gabriella you know you need to go to bed." I got up and went to pick her up but stopped when there was a knock at the door.
I walked to it and opened it and saw who it was. Right as I was going to slam it in his face Killian stopped it.
"Audrey don't." He hissed making me scared but I wasn't letting him anywhere near Gabriella.
"Killian get out." I said looking at him. I saw how good looking he still was. Then I remembered that he was the one to leave me twice and hurt me.
"Please just let me talk to you." He pleaded. Yeah
"How about you go to hell?" I tried to push it but he pushed the door open.
I felt arms wrap around my leg and I saw that Gabriella was hiding behind me now.
"Can we talk?"
"Well I can't say no can I?" I turned and grabbed Gabriella carrying her into the living room.
"Mommy Who is that man?"
"Don't worry about him. Here watch some tv." I gave her the remote and I walked over to the kitchen.
"You drink coffee?" Killian asked as I took a big sip of the coffee.
"Yep."
He sat at the bar and folded his hands together.
"What do you want Killian?" I held the the cup to myself as I leaned on the counter.

"Well I wanted to see you. When your grandfather said that you were here I thought why not go see you." He gave me a small smile. It was cute but still I wasn't pushing.
"Well you've seen me. Is that all?"
He looked over to Gabriella "how old is she?"
"She'll be 5 in a month." I said softly.
Looking back to me I knew what the next question was going to be.
"Is she mine?"
"What if she is? It's not like you have anything to do with her." I slammed my cup down looking at him.
"I'm the one that has taken care of her for 5 years. Besides...you weren't the only guy I was with."
Why did I say that! What the hell was I thinking? Of course he was the only guy I was with. He was the only one that I loved. Oh great he was the only one I loved.
I saw the anger in his eyes when I said that and I instantly regretted it.
"What do you mean?" He stood up leaning closer to me.
"She looks like me. Now how do you explain that?" He was right about that. Like I said some of her expressions were just like him.
"Who were you with?" He shouted and I jumped a little.
"N-no one. You were my first." Oh great so does my mouth just say things that it shouldn't today?
I saw a small smile go to his face and I sighed moving away from him
"Don't Get Happy. I said you were my first Yes but I have been with more men in the past years then you."
"Ok that's fair but were any of them as good as me?" Now the smile was a full smirk.

"Better." I shrugged walking off leaving him with a shocked face. That wasn't true. Yes I had been with other men but none of them were as good as he is to me.
"Gabriella let's go bed time."
"Nooooo" She cried looking up at me with puppy dog eyes.
"Gabriella. Bed." She sighed and got up walking over to her door.
"I'll be there in a minute. I just have to say goodnight to my friend." She nodded her head and walked in to her room.
"She doesn't know who I am?" Turning to him I saw he looked hurt.
"No She doesn't. She thinks your one of my friends."
"Does she ask about her father? What do you tell her?"
I grabbed the blanket Gabriella was using and folded it.
"Every Time she asks I say he's on a long trip Or I just don't answer."
"She needs to know I'm her father." He went to step closer to her door but I stopped him.
"Like hell she does. You just found out about her today and now you want to be in her life?" I looked at him like he was crazy.
"I think it's time for you to leave." I pushed him to the door. I had to work and frankly I was done with him.
"Please. Just let me spend the day with you guys tomorrow? We can go to Disney together?" He said stopping at the door.
"You Just won't give up?" He smiled
"Nope not till you say yes."
Rolling my eyes I crossed my arms. "Fine But don't think this means that your telling her anything."
"I can do that." He smiled pushing himself away from the door.
"Happy to see you still wear the bracelet. Goodbye Audrey." He said walking away. Looking down to my wrist and saw that I did have it on. I had completely forgotten that I put it on.
I got some work done and then went to sleep after awhile. I had a long day ahead of me.
