True to Gaia's wishes Levi found them a room for the night. However, it was only to that extent her wishes were fulfilled, much to her disappointment, once he saw her sprawled out on the bed looking at him expectantly, his face once again went red, he cleared his throat and mumbled something about going for a walk.

She sighed as she rolled onto her stomach on the bed. This bed was a bit harder than their usual one and kind of pricky. The mattress seemed to be filled with some type of straw. One thing that was, however, the same as their usual room is that it was thoroughly clean. She chuckled at the thought of whichever poor soul Levi forced to clean the room before their arrival.

So much was about to change, she could feel it coming. Whether or not her new people were ready for it she was not sure, but that was enough of that, she chose not to dwell on the things she did not have much control over.

She removed her clothes and went to the wardrobe where Levi had put their luggage in and took one of his shirts out. At this point in time, he knew to always pack in more for her, she smiled and held the shirt to her face taking in his natural woodsy and musky scent. She has come to know this scent as home.

Just then she heard the door open and close. She heard Levi mumble that he was back. At the angle that the door was Levi could not see her yet as he set down two cups of tea and a bowl on their table near the entrance.

She considered hiding her severely under-dressed self(only in her chest wrappings and underwear) from him to spare him the embarrassment but then she remembered how he just left her in the room earlier, so she decided that he will have to bear the weight of his decision of not giving her what she wants. She smirked as he walked closer.

"I just heard fr-" he started but was cut off from the sight of her.

Gaia looked at him innocently holding shirt on her one arm, giving him a full view of her chest,

"You heard what?" she asked nonchalantly, as she set his shirt on the bed, his cheeks were inflamed once again. She looked at him and briefly saw his gaze rake her body before he quickly looked away and used his hand to obscure her from his view,

"Why didn't you just tell me that you were busy getting dressed?" he asked, doing his best not to think of all the possibilities of what could be happening if he weren't trying to be a gentleman. This proved to be a much harder task when he heard more fabric fall onto the bed, Levi held his breath as he imagined what it was,

"I didn't feel like I needed to, you've seen me without clothes before," she answered,

"W-What are you talking about?" he replied, trying to remember such a time,

"When I was a titan, I had no clothes on," she said and laughed when he shook his head,

"Come on Captain Levi, it's unlike you to be this shy," she teased with a smirk as she tried to lean into his view, he stiffened and spun around, letting his back face her,

"I am not shy, I am being a gentleman and giving you your privacy," he said, then gasped as he felt her arms snake their way around his abdomen and felt her press herself against his back,

"Why?" she asked as pressed her forehead against the nape of his neck,

"Because its the right thing to do," he whispered in reply,

"Says who? Hanji sees me naked all the time" she asked,

"That's different, you are both women, and I am a man,"

" Why does that make a difference?" she asked,

"It just does," he replied,

"Who made you think that way?" she asked, and there was a brief moment of silence,

"My...my mother used to tell me that a women's power is in her privacy, parts of her she chooses to... share are parts of her power she chooses to share as well," he said sounding slightly distant,

"What an odd point of view," Gaia whispered as she pulled away and took a step back,

"Even so, you know power is no shortage of mine Levi," she said looking at him, he stood listening and processing what she just said,

"Sometimes you don't sound like yourself, "Levi said sighing, as she once again put him in the position to feel suspicious of her because of something she said,

" My power... I will always lend it to you Levi, you know this from the very first order I followed," she whispered,

"And now even from your understanding, I want you to know that my power is yours, it been yours and will always be yours," she said, his eyes widened,

"Monster, you don't know what you are saying, you don't understand how-,"

"It does not matter though," she cut him off,

"I don't care about the things that I don't understand, I trust you and that's enough," she replied looking at the back of his head,

"You cant be so sure that we will be always-"

"How long is always?" she asked,

"Do you have plans to leave me?" he asked threateningly, trying to hide the hurt in his voice,

"Never,"

"Then what are you talking about?"

"Do you plan on leaving me?" she asked,

" I was ordered to take care of you and keep an eye on you, so I don't exactly have an option," he said jokingly with a smirk, at which Gaia rolled her eyes.

"Then we will be together always," she stated, Levi's face once again reddened,

"B-but how can you just decide that you want to be with me forever?" he asked

"What if our 'always' is shorter than that?" she whispered, this question made Levi spin around, forget the situation they were in, and got an eye full of her cleavage just as she tied the middle button of the shirt, having started from the bottom. Her hand paused allowing him to see her, before finally buttoning the shirt. Levi saw the intention in her eyes, but shook his head, trying not to get distracted,

"What are you talking about you said that you won't leave me and I can't leave you,"

"People leave the walls and don't come back all the time, I have seen how the number of recruits lessens whenever I go to a dining cabin, dining hall, or even when we eat together outside. They all probably thought that their 'always' would be a very long time too," she whisper and looked at the candle in their room, then continued,

" I trust you, with everything that I am, with all my power, whether it be with my strength or my privacy. And I think that that is enough for me to want to be with you no matter how long or short my always will be," she concluded.

Her last statement was met by silence. She looked up from the candle to Levi, whose face was red and was looking at her with a distant, yet present look in his eyes.

He had always been rough around the edges. Anyone around him was either afraid of him, died, or just plainly left. No one ever wanted to stay with him before, it had been so long since he actually felt like he had something to protect. His duty as a scout was to essentially scout and make sure to stay alive. Had someone told him earlier in his life that one day a half-dressed woman would tell him that she wants to be with him forever, he would have beaten them to a pulp and laughed at their sad attempt at humour after. He felt like at this point he should feel overwhelmed or under practiced in what it is to truly care about someone but for some reason, he did not feel that way. She had grown on him since the time that she entered his life and she had learned to understand him, despite his intimidating demeanor. He knew that even in this rough and calloused world, he was still harsher than the usual person, he was violent, he was emotionless and difficult to please and she just chose him. He could almost laugh at the fact that it took him to be on a seemingly hopeless mission outside of the walls for him to find a partner, who happened to be a titan no less. However it was fitting, nothing else in his life had gone exactly normal so falling in love with a titan was just up his alley.

"L-Levi?" she called worriedly, he had been still for quite some time,

"Are you-" her question caught in her throat as she saw his gaze meet hers, with a small but genuine smile.

Suddenly he moved forward and swept her up in his arms and held her close. She smiled at the contact. This embrace was very different from the others, it was...almost...loving. He pulled away just enough so that they could look into each other's eyes and whispered almost breathlessly,

"Gaia, "

⭐And I finally started the final session of AOT and let me just say...I don't know where the hell to go with our lovely couple... I am honestly gonna make things up as I go along or...I'll just wimp out and do a plot deviation...What do you guys think I should do?
