Now I'm reluctant to publish this because it's been so long

"Leon-?!" A hand was placed over your mouth as an indicator to tell you to be quiet.

"Hush, my l-love. I know this seems bad but I can explain." A few seconds later, the blindfold was taken off and you could now see. After adjusting to the brightness of the room, you confirmed that it was your boyfriend who had taken you. He was staring at the F/C cloth he had used as your blindfold, still a bit wet from your tears.

You were trapped in a dimly lit basement surrounded by old furniture and different supplies. Your boyfriend was staring at you like nothing's wrong. What the fuck? You knew you shouldn't have ignored the red flags when you started dating him.

"H-Have you been crying, darling?" He looked at your lovely face and wiped off the trail of liquid your tears left behind, kissing your lips afterwards. "You look s-so beautiful."

"Leon... what the hell," You fumbled, trying to get out of the binds you were in. "Get me out. Now."

Your boyfriend eyes lit up in realization that you were still tied up. "O-Oh! I'm so sorry."

With his nimble fingers, he easily untied all the ropes around your body. Within a minute or two, you were free. You slowly stood up, your limbs adjusting to movement after what you assume to be hours. Leon held your wrists which were red from your struggles and peppered kisses all over. "I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I had to leave you here to buy a f-few things and I didn't know what to do."

"And you decided to tie me up?" You asked in disbelief. "Can you please explain what the fuck is going on?"

Leon guided you to sit back on the chair you were previously stuck in, grabbing another for himself as well.

"Y/N. You aren't safe." He clasped your hands earnestly and stared up at you with the utmost sincerity. "With the deaths happening in our school, I'm afraid the killer's going to get you too. If you d-died, I wouldn't know what t-to do. I can't live without y-you."

Your eyes soften a bit as your boyfriend's eyes started to water. Once again, you were ignoring the red flags. Smiling awkwardly, you reassured him, "Leon. It's fine - I'm safe. My parents are here, you are here, I'm surrounded by people almost all the time."

Leon shook his head. "Y-You don't understand! You'll never be safe because the danger is everywhere."

"What do you mean?"

"Haven't you ever w-wondered why Lizzy and Monika were killed?" Leon pursed his lips. "I have a suspicion that they were killed because of you."

"M-Me?"

"Y-Yes. I think that someone m-may be too obsessed with you, even going as far as k-killing the people who mistreat you."

"Who could possibly do this?"

Leon shook his head. "I'm not sure, but I have a hunch."

You furrowed your eyebrows. If that was the case, then why didn't you notice? Thinking about your past, you thought about any classmate that might've been suspiciously stalker-like to you. However, you don't seem to recall anyone. "Could you tell me who?"

Leon shook his head once again. "I d-don't want to say it out l-loud."

Sighing, you leaned forward and kissed his head, pretending that you aren't shaken up by what just happened and what Leon had said. If Leon was the bad guy, you mustn't show any sign of panic and remain oblivious. "Fine, but I'm leaving. I promise I'll be safe, okay? Tying me to your basement is taking it too far. Let's discuss this later, right now I need to get back home."

You shakily stood up and walked towards the exit. Leon was acting weirdly and his actions were alarming. You will need to discuss this with Leon in a safe place like school, where lots of people are there. If he continues to act like this, you'll have to break up with him and involve your parents and the police. That was something you didn't want to do. For now, hopefully acting calm to the situation will buy you some time.

Before you could exit the door of the basement, you were harshly tugged back to Leon, where he wrapped his arms tightly around you to prevent you from leaving. Your heart rate sped up and you tried to wrest your body from his grasp.

"I-I can explain," Leon cried. "Please let me e-explain my actions. Then I'll let you go."

You relaxed your body and replied with an okay. Struggling would only make Leon more cautious. He let you go but kept a grip on your hand.

"Y-You see, I..." Leon mumbled something quiet and looked away from you.

"What?"

"...I-I'm s-scared, okay?" Leon whimpered. "I'm scared to be alone and the m-murderer is going to kill me."

"Why would he do that?" You smoothed his hair, calming him down.

"W-Well, if h-he's obsessed w-with you, then h-he'll target me since I'm your... lover." Leon's face flushed a light pink when he said the last word. "A-And my actions are a bit e-excessive because I... I was scared t-that you'd be h-hurt in your own home as well. I-If I didn't tie you, y-you'd probably have left because you were creeped out."

"Do you have evidence of that?"

"Y-Yeah... he's been writing me n-notes and putting it in my locker. H-Here's one of t-them." He pulled out a crumpled note from his pocket and handed it to you.

YOU'RE NEXT was written in bold messy letters with red ink on the top of the page. It was followed by a threat of silence.

"Why didn't you just tell me?" You still didn't agree with how this turned out but you were slowly starting to understand his view, though keeping you in the basement was uncalled for. You also still had a lot of questions left.

"You probably w-wouldn't have listened m-me." Leon looked down and fiddled his fingers. "Most tend not to. But now that I've explained my actions... you'll believe me, right? You have faith in your boyfriend... don't you?"

A bit of uneasiness sparked within you. Still, you ignored the feeling and affectionately gave Leon a hug. Leon would never harm you. "Of course I'll always believe in you. Next time, don't ever do this again. Now, what are we going to do about this... situation?"

Leon scratched his arms nervously. "I was hoping you'd stay over."

"Stay over?"

"I-I feel safe whenever I'm b-by your side. Can you?"

You wondered over it for a few seconds. "Sure. As long as we don't do anything, I think it's fine. Let me just-"

You groped your pocket in search of your phone, only to remember that it was in your bag. "Leon, where's my bag?"

Leon tilted his head. "What bag?"

"You know, the bag I had taken with me on our trip - that bag."

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.. "I don't r-remember taking any bags though. Y-You might've left it in the park."

You gave him an 'are you serious look'. "If you're lying to me, there will be consequences. This is really too far."

'Sorry, my Y/N. It's for our love, I promise!' Leon shook his head, "I swear I haven't seen it since we had gone to Disneyland."

"Leon, I still need a phone to call my parents and tell them that I'm safe. If you want me to stay, you need to provide me with some type of communication."

"B-But, I lost my phone a few days back, remember?"

"No... I don't remember."

"W-When we were at school, you were at your locker when I told you. You even asked where I last placed it. I also haven't used it since then b-because it was missing."

You tried to think about a moment like that but couldn't come up with anything. "Telephone?"

"O-Our family doesn't h-have one," Leon murmured ashamedly. "We have our own phones so we didn't have a need to use one."

You squished Leon's cheeks, trying to get him to understand. "It's okay, but I'll need to go home because my parents will get really worried."

"N-No! I-I mean, I'm scared of staying home a-alone... I d-didn't want to burden my parents. C-Can you please... stay?" Leon sniffled, looking like he was about to go on his knees to scream and beg if he didn't get what he wanted. "Just stay."

"Come over to our house, it's much safer with my parents."

"I-I really don't want to burden your family. P-Please... can you stay for a few days? For me?"

"Leon, if it's for a few days, I still need to get my belongings."

He let out a defeated breath and clenched his fists a bit. "Fine... but can we just stay and watch TV or eat or something? Just for a few hours."

You smiled. "Now that I can accept."

'I'm sorry that you had to make me do this.' Leon prepped a few spoons powder to pour into a warm glass of water. This was the best way to render you unconscious and unharmed. He didn't want to hit your head over with his bat since it would probably be lethal, nor did he want to choke you until you pass out. Your boyfriend poured a glass of water for himself but without the powder, bringing it over to you.

"Here - i-it's for the popcorn. I'm afraid it might b-be too salty."

You kissed Leon for his kind gesture, snuggling into him while the both of you decided on a movie to watch. His dark green hoodie felt clean and soft to you, making him the perfect cuddle material. You placed your leg over his and peppered his neck with light kisses, to which he responded with happy noises.

"How about this one?" Leon placed his chin on the top of your head, "It's your favourite, right?"

You nodded compliantly, nuzzling your face into his chest. Leon tried holding in his giddy laughs but couldn't help it. This was the type of paradise he dreamed of. You were halfway into the movie when he suddenly decided to speak.

"I-I want to hold you like t-this everyday." He blurted out to you. "I want to kiss you, s-sleep with you, and s-spend time with you all the time. I love you so much. You love me too, right?"

You gave him plenty of kisses as an answer. "Of course I do, silly."

"You'd do anything for me?"

"Mhm."

"Would you stay here with me?"

"Sure."

"Forever?"

"Errrr, I still have to go back to my own house though."

"...Okay," He lowered his voice before saying, "We'll see about that."

"What'd you say?"

"I love you so very much. I want you to stay with me forever... and ever."

"How about after high school? I know it's sad but... we'll probably go our separate ways..."

"N-No! I-I'll apply to the same university as you!" All his ambitions in life have flown out the window. His only dream now is you. And only you. It didn't matter if he had the potential to attend the world's top universities. It didn't matter that his parents might not approve of this mindset. It didn't matter that his future may alter depending on you. He was completely and utterly devoted to you. Nothing could stop this force called love.

That is, if you could even go.

'The drug said one hour... She should be falling asleep by now.' Leon gently hummed a quiet tune while stroking your hair. Your eyes were open but seem to be drooping slightly from his angle.

"Are you t-thirsty, Y/N? Drink s-some more water." Leon leaned forward to get your glass of water from the table. You took the water gratefully and downed the rest of it. After that, he and you went back to your comfortable positions and resumed watching the rest of the movie. Within five to ten minutes, you were completely asleep.

Leon was shortly filled with happiness as he poked your soft cheek to check if you were asleep. You were just so cute. After calling and poking you a few times, he finally concluded that you were completely asleep, like what the drug was meant to do. He swept you up and carried you bridal style upstairs to his bedroom, where he already prepared everything.

Delicately, he placed you on the bed and chained your leg to the bedpost where he made sure it was impossible for you to escape. By the time you woke up, it'll probably be the early morning at 3-5 AM so Leon made sure the chain was long enough so you could go to his bathroom but not the door at any time. He took out all the possible things that you could use as a weapon and filled it with books to entertain you. There were extra locks outside the door so you couldn't open it from the inside no matter what. It'll take quite a while for him to unlock them whenever he visits you but it'll be worth it if it can protect you from the dangers outside of his home.

After Leon made sure that everything was in place for the nth time, he finally left but not before giving you a long kiss on the lips. But unlike the Sleeping Beauty, the princess was put to sleep for her own good. Just when Leon thought that the hardest part is over, he heard the loud ring of his partly broken doorbell.

Leon sighed. Why couldn't he just do this in peace. Trudging downstairs, he looked through the peephole to identify the person outside his home. Alec was bouncing up and down waiting patiently waiting for Leon to open the door. Of course it had to be him. The most annoying and persistent guy he's ever met.

Leon opened the door a little, peeking out of the gap. "H-Hello?"

Alec grinned at him, entering before Leon could even say anything. "Leon! Hi!"

"Why a-are you barging i-into to my h-home late into the night?"

"To find Y/N of course! Now, where is she?" Alec continued to walk in casually.

"Y-Y/N? What are you t-talking about? She d-dropped me off hours ago." Leon panicked a bit, trying to stop Alec from exploring the house.

Alec smirked. "Don't act all clueless with me, big boy. I have eyes all around me. I know what you did."

"W-What? What did I do?" Leon tilted his head in fake confusion.

"I don't want to repeat myself." Alec sighed. "Where is my lovely Y/N?"

Leon growled, backing towards to kitchen. Quickly grabbed a kitchen knife, he pointed it at Alec. "She's not yours! Leave or I'll kill you."

Alec giggled and responded. "Of course not. She's ours."

"I-I... What?" Leon widened his eyes in surprise and his hold on the knife trembled.

"Leon dear, I have a deal for you. It can go two ways - you can share her with me, or I'll ruin you and show her how much of a disgusting filth you are. I'd go with the first option if I were you." Your friend pulled out a pen and paper. A contract Alec had written with every little detail of how they were going to share you; the benefits, terms and conditions. He had been writing this since months ago, refining it until perfection.

"Sign this." Alec smiled brightly at Leon. "I promise you won't regret it."

lame/dumb way to kidnap someone but lets just say that Y/N trusts Leon a lot and believes he's harmless, someone who cannot do anything to her. their friends think the same way except alec, who obviously sees past leon's lies because he too, is guilty.

just wanted to say, i moved into another country last month and I'll be going to school for an orientation in a few days. i'm nervous T-T
