HI! I'd just like to say this is my first time writing a book so forgive me if this sounds unprofessional! I've always loved reading Yandere fictions and I've always wanted to write one but I always feel too insecure but right now I'm writing one out of impulse! Because I'm doing it out of impulse, I have no idea where this story is gonna go!
YAY!
Cover not made by me! Unfortunately, I couldn't find the artist who made it. T-T
(Hi, I'm the author from the future. Unlike in Quotev, Wattpad doesn't show the indents so, I guess you'll have to live without them lol)
M/N = mother's name
Abruptly sitting up, you checked the time. You were 15 minutes late! This was what you get for repeatedly snoozing your alarm clock! Now, you would either have to have a small breakfast or skip it altogether. You quickly rolled off the bed and started running around to get ready for school. Although you usually woke up on time in the mornings, you had spent last night completing an essay that you had procrastinated over for a few weeks. What a great start to this day!
'Four more days until Friday.' You thought optimistically.
Not.
After brushing your teeth and checking your school bag to see if you were missing anything, you head downstairs to the kitchen and checked the time. You still had a bit of time left, so you quickly microwaved a cup of milk for breakfast. This was what you got for waking up at almost the last minute. While the milk in the microwave, you opened your phone to check any important texts from anyone. You had one message from your best friend, Lizzy Sanders.
Lizzy: Got sick today, can't pick u up. Sorry :((((
You: It's ok, I'll get my mom to drop me off :333
Every morning, Lizzy would come to pick you up in her shiny convertible car, taking the both of you to school. Unfortunately, because Lizzy called in sick, you had to get your mother to drop you off to school. Your dad was already off to work so you had no choice but to go with your mom. Looking around for your mom, you realized she was nowhere to be found downstairs and so you hollered, "MOM! LIZZY'S SICK TODAY, I NEED YOU TO DROP ME OFF AT SCHOOL."
You heard a faint okay from upstairs.
Taking the milk out of the microwave you quickly drank it in one go and double checked if you had everything you needed. Money to last this week in your wallet? Check. Your water bottle? Check. Your phone? Laptop? Finished assignments? Triple check. It seems like you have everything you needed. Your mother came downstairs, dressed in her usual business attire with makeup on. How she did this every morning was something you'll never be able to understand.
"Are you ready, Y/N?" Your mother asked, leaning towards the mirror in the entrance to re-check her makeup. Taking out the car keys from her purse, she opened the garage door. It made loud noises before fully opening, allowing you to see the full view of the outside.
"Yup, let's go!" You hopped into the car, the smell of it filling your nostrils. You've never liked the smell, which was why you preferred travelling in Lizzy's car.

You watched the houses rolling into your view through the car window, the sight of it calming you. One of the things you appreciated in a car was the 'silence' it gave while driving. You hummed your favourite song, drumming your fingers against your thigh when suddenly, a boy with the same school uniform as you entered your peripheral vision. Curious, your attention turned to the high school student. It appears he was trying to catch the school bus, but to no avail, as the bus driver ignored him, and continued driving on. Some students on the bus were snickering and rudely pointing the middle finger while he continued to run.
You frowned. You've heard of bullying in your school but you've never actually seen it until now, which was why it never crossed your mind. Snapping out of your thoughts, you looked at the boy who looks like he's about to give up and your heart started beating. You've always been a socially awkward person and an over-thinker and this was one of the situations which can turn out well or make everything awkward.
You could tell your mom to stop at a red light and call for him to get in. But what if he rejected your offer? You'll have to see him at school and forever remember that moment every time you saw his face. What if the stranger took too long to decide the cars behind them started honking angrily?
The best case scenario was having your mother drive you and the stranger to school in time while receiving the satisfaction of helping someone. But the worst case scenario was getting complaints from the people behind while the high school boy rejected your offer, then making everything awkward at school. Endless amounts of scenarios flooded your mind.
'What should I do?' You thought in your head. But the thought of possibly helping someone overruled any thoughts opposing the action.
"Mom, there's a student who has the same uniform as me. Uh, he looks like he needs a ride and I think his bus ignored him. Can we offer him a ride?" You tried saying it in the most eager tone.
Your mother pursed her lips to which you responded with a pout, "Sorry, but I'm afraid there might not be enough time."
"But he's in the same school as us, and he looks like he's having trouble catching his bus," You argued. "The kids in the are making fun of him as well."
M/N thought over it for a few seconds and sighed, "Why not, I guess we still have a little bit of time to spare. Let's go."
You grinned, "Thanks, mom."
M/N pulled their car to the side to where the stranger was. You, with your heart still beating a bit because you knew you needed to act quick, rolled open the window and yelled to him, "Hey mister, need a ride?"
'Shit. That's not awkward or convincing at all! Surely that will get him to come in the car,' Your internal mind was a mess. One part was screaming at hitting itself for the choice of speech and the other was crying at why you were so awkward at times.
The boy, you observed, looked startled and slowly shook his head, "S-sorry, but I don't take rides from strangers...", and slowly edged away.
'Dammit Y/N! You're meant to make this NOT awkward!' You wanted to dig a hole, crawl into it, roll into a fetus position and stay there forever.
"L-Let me explain! I'm from your school! It just looked like you needed a ride!" You fumbled a bit before lifting your uniform to display your school crest. You stared at his chest before looking up to him expectantly.

"O-oh..." He mumbled, looking down at the ground shyly.
"It's okay if you don't want a ride, I just thought you needed it." Your voice was slowly becoming quiet because of how awkward the situation is. You sighed mentally, thinking about how stupid you were, thinking he would actually get on. Nevertheless, you slowly closed the car window-
"Wait!" The soft voice of the male exclaimed, "Uhm if you don't mind, I'd like to take up your offer..."
"Okay! Get in before the cars behind us get impatient!" M/N unlocked the doors for him, allowing him to get on.
You felt happy on the inside, to have helped someone from your school and to have avoided a potentially awkward situation.
The mysterious student climbed in the backseat, slamming the car door shut behind him. "Thank you so much!", he cried.
You looked back at him and smiled. "You're welcome. My name's Y/N L/N. What's yours?"
"I'm L-Leon Harts." The boy mumbled meekly. You observed Leon closely. He had dark brown hair with greyish eyes and his face was quite round. Leon had soft features and his lips were very smooth. Despite his dark circles which you assumed to be from lack of sleep under his eyes, you thought he looked very attractive. He wore loose clothes so you couldn't see his physique but he was taller than you even though he was slouching a bit. His clothes were a bit worn but other than that, there was nothing too shabby about him from what you could see.
"Did you say your name was Leo?" You were too focused on his looks you didn't hear his small voice. You leaned back closer to him to hear his quiet voice better.
"It's Leon... L-Leon Harts." The latter replied hesitantly.
"Leon Harts...?" You pondered. "Ah. Are you the one that got the scholarship for our school a few years ago?"
Leon slowly nodded in surprise. "H-How did you know?"
"I think I came across it somewhere in the school newsletter." You replied, before quickly changing the subject since you didn't know what else to say. "Er, this is my mom, M/N L/N!"
Your mother gave Leon a quick glance and a smile then turning her eyes back to the road. "Hello Leon, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"I-it's a pleasure to meet you t-too, ma'am. Thank you for giving me a ride to school. I probably would've been really late without you."
Your mother laughed, "It's fine, dear. In fact, if it weren't for Y/N we probably would've left you there, no offence. So you should thank her."
"O-oh, in that case, t-thank you, Y/N!" He lowered his head a little in acknowledgement and gave you a nervous little smile.
You did a little happy jump in your mind. Helping someone really made you feel good. "It's fine, I just thought you needed help."
'She's so pretty when she blushes...' Leon thought, causing him to blush too upon realizing what he just thought. 'Gah! I shouldn't be thinking like this, it's not like she'll stay with me after this. Who do I think I am?' Leon patted his cheeks embarrassingly. To imagine that he'd have a chance with you or anyone for that matter. Not a lot of people like chubby cheeks and a really quiet personality. He would just spend his lunch breaks silently reading in the library alone in a secluded area.
Leon kept patting his cheeks for some reason which was kinda cute. You swore you could see a bit of red in those cheeks... Man, everything just makes him even cuter! He looks like a cool guy to be around. Maybe you should befriend him.
"Leon..."
"H-hm?"
Despite your amiable personality, you were a bit shy and always felt like you didn't fit in among Lizzy's other friends. She was definitely more outgoing and extroverted than you, so made many more friends easier than you did. You wished you were as friendly as her. This time, was a chance for you to make new friends!
"Do you wanna hang out at lunch or something? My best friend Lizzy is sick today so I was going to eat alone today."
"O-Of course!" He squeaked. For some reason, his heart was pounding a bit and he felt his face heat up. What was going on with him? Did he lack so much socialization that he'd get excited over someone inviting him to each lunch with them?
Your mother raised an eyebrow that the two of you didn't see. After that, you and Leon chatted about all types of things, your mother even joining at times. Taking a right turn, M/N finally reached the destination of your school. At first glance, anyone could tell that this private school was pretty big. Though the decoration and furniture were quite plain compared to others, your school was prestigious and had students getting into the top universities of many countries. Students would usually have to have parents who own businesses or work in big companies. That's why it was uncommon for people with less wealth to enrol in this school.
"We're here," you cheered, "What do you have first?"
"Maths." Leon murmured, scratching his arms.
"I have maths too! Which class are you in?"
"The class with Ms Stevens." He murmured. Ah, so he was in the most intelligent maths class in your grade. Expected from a student with a scholarship. Your mother had just finished parking and the car gave a little 'beep' to say that you could take off your seat belts.
"Oh, I have Mr Davis. Anyways, I think that class is on the way. Wanna go together?" You asked before opening the car door and kissing your mom on the cheek.
"S-Sure!" Leon clumsily took off his seat belt hurriedly to follow after you. Your mom chuckled a bit as he struggled in embarrassment.
"But I have to go to my locker! Is that alright with you?" You asked as you unlocked the car door.
You heard him mumble a yes, so you got out and skipped to your locker. You didn't seem to notice how your new friend was grappling to leave the car.
When Leon finally took it off, he breathed out a sigh of relief and looked shyly at your mother. He then politely thanked your mom, opening the car door and chased after you. Your mom smiled in return and thought, 'I approve of this boy. He would make cute grandbabies.
I just realized halfway into this chapter that I wrote this in third person limited and had to change all the Y/Ns to 'you'. Then after that I keep accidentally switching from third person to second. T-T
