《Romeo》Chapter 32

I closed my eyes, cursing under my breath. When I opened my eyes, my family were staring at Samantha in shock.

"Is it a joke?!" My father snapped angrily and looked at me.

"No, sir. I am three months pregnant." Samantha stated firmly.

"Dad, she lies. I swear." I pleaded nervously. "I was always careful. It isn't possible."

"Romeo, why don't you believe me? It is your baby. It hurts me deeply that you don't believe me." Samantha said, pretending to be sad, and sobbed. I gave her a dirty look without believing a word she said.

"Stop it, Samantha! I know what you are trying to do, but you will not be able to ruin my relationship with Sienna. I love her. I will never break up with her." I snapped angrily, clenching my fist tightly, making my nails dug into my skin.

"I don't try to do anything to separate you with Sienna. I just want you to take responsibility. I want my baby to grow up with his or her father." She sobbed.

I rolled my eyes and gave her a mocking smirk. "If there is any baby."

"Romeo...please..." She pleaded, wiping the tears off her cheeks.

"If it is true, why do you refuse to do the DNA test?" I asked, giving her a knowing look.

"Because it can be dangerous for an unborn baby. If you insist on it, then you have to wait till the baby is born." She stated, determined.

"I don't believe a word you say." I stated firmly, looking into her eyes.

"Romeo! Stop! Don't you think you hurt my feelings and cause stress? Stress isn't good for a baby. At least, have some respect for your unborn child." Samantha said sadly and sobbed.

"It is enough!" My father intervened angrily. "Samantha, I have to talk to my son alone. Then we will discuss it later with you and your parents." He added in an authoritative tone.

"Yes, sir. I understand." Samantha said, giving my father a smile.

"Nancy will see you to the door." My father resumed and called our housekeeper.

"Thank you, sir. See you later." Samantha beamed, nodding. She turned towards me, giving me a self-satisfied smirk, and left.

I gritted my teeth in frustration and ran my hand through my hair, cursing under my breath.

"What was your ex doing here?" My grandpa asked, puzzled as he walked into the living room. He and my father were having a meeting this morning; so he suggested to my father that they would go to the meeting place together.

"Umm..." I mumbled, rubbing my neck uneasily, and gave my father a nervous look. Meanwhile, Dad was staring at me in frustration, resting his hands on his hips, his jaw clenched.

"How could you ruin your future for a few minutes of pleasure?!" My father snarled without managing to hold himself anymore.

"Dad, she is lying. I was always careful. And if it was true, why did she wait to tell me about it this long?" I pleaded, giving him a begging look.

"What is going on here?" My grandpa asked, confused.

"Your grandson knocked up his ex." My father replied, full of anger in his voice and gave me a death glare. Meanwhile, my mother sat down on the chair barely without saying anything, preoccupied.

"What?!" My grandpa's eyes widened in shock.

"I swear she is lying, Grandpa." I begged and ran my hand through my hair in despair.

"Why should she lie about this? At least, take responsibility for your actions." My father intervened angrily.

"Asher, calm down. If Romeo says she is lying, we should believe him. Maybe she wants to trap him." My grandpa stated firmly.

Finally, someone believes me, other than Sienna. I knew my grandpa would be on my side.

"Dad, stop taking his side every time he messes up. He behaves like this because we spoiled him so much. Look, where we are now!" My father protested and started pacing back and forth, fuming. "What will happen to your future plans? Your education and so on? How will you handle having a baby and studying at university at the same time? Or she? How will she handle both? Having a child is a big responsibility." He added in disappointment and shook his head.

"I didn't make a scene when you told me you already had a son." My grandpa intervened.

"Dad, I wasn't in high school. Ellie and I were adults." My father reminded.

"But she was my enemy's daughter." My grandfather commented.

"I cannot say it anymore. You get along very well with her father; you meet up with him every time you have free time. Everyone knows you are close buddies now." My father stated sarcastically.

"Yes, now we are, but before not. So calm down. Yes, Romeo made a mistake, not being careful, but you should not be harsh on him." My grandpa said authoritatively.

"Am I harsh?! Dad, I am far away from harshness, and you know I was never harsh on my children or mistreated them." My father protested angrily.

My grandpa sighed. "I know how much you love your children and care about them. I understand you are worried about his future, but we should calm down and think with a clear mind. And find a solution." He stated confidently, giving my father a compassionate look. "Come on, Romeo. Let's get some fresh air." He suggested, resting his hand on my shoulder.

"No, he will not leave my sight for a second. I don't want another grandchild before this one is born. And I don't need to remind you about yesterday." My father reminded, looking at me. "I think we got enough pregnancy news for a week." He added mockingly.

"Calm down, Ash." My mother intervened as she finally pulled herself together, approaching my father, and stroked his arm gently.

"Dad, I don't believe her either. Romeo is right. She probably lies." Charlotte commented, defending me, making me surprised. "She had even threatened Sienna before, telling her she will not let them be together." My father looked at her without saying anything and heaved a loud sigh, running his hand through his hair, lost in his thoughts.

"Firstly, we should be sure if she is really pregnant or not. Then if she is really pregnant, we have to find out if it is really Romeo's baby." My grandpa stated firmly.

"But what happens if it is true. Do you have any idea what we will do then?" My father asked, trying to control his anger, and shook his head.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Dad! I told you I was careful. She is lying." I stated, bored and stormed out of the living room.

"Romeo Asher Wright! Come back now! I didn't finish!" My father shouted behind me angrily, but I ignored him and went to my bedroom.

I slammed the door behind me and cursed, kicking the chair.

I parked my car as Sienna and I arrived at school; actually, I didn't want to come to school, but Sienna almost dragged me here.

"Everything will be okay." Sienna said softly, resting her hand on my thigh.

"I don't want to see her." I commented honestly and heaved a sigh as I held her hand.

"You cannot run away from your problems. You have to face them." She commented and squeezed my hand. "Don't worry. We will find the truth soon."

I gave her a slight smile and took her hand towards my lips. I placed a soft kiss on her hand and said gratefully. "Thank you for believing me. It means a lot to me. I love you so much."

"I love you too, Romeo." She gave me a dazzling smile and placed a tender kiss on my lips. Then we got out of the car.

When I wanted to approach Sienna, someone pulled me towards him by grabbed my arm and punched me in the face.

"Troy!" Sienna exclaimed in shock and rushed towards us while I held my nose in pain.

"I warned you not to hurt my sister's feelings, but you..." He snapped furiously.

"Troy, stop it!" Sienna warned him as she stood in front of me, shielding me from her angry brother. "Don't treat Romeo like a punching bag. He is your best friend." She added, annoyed.

"Are you still protecting him after he has cheated on you?!" Troy shouted in frustration and gave me a death glare. I looked at him, confused while trying to stop my nose from bleeding with tissues.

"He didn't cheat on me. What are you talking about?!" Sienna stated, puzzled and frowned, annoyed.

"If he didn't, then how could his ex be pregnant with his baby when they broke up a few months ago?" Troy mocked and gritted his teeth.

Sienna sighed as she understood what was going on. I clenched my fist and cursed at Samantha with my inner voice. That bitch was doing everything to ruin my relationship with Sienna.

"Samantha says she is three months pregnant. So there isn't any cheating. Moreover, we aren't sure she is really pregnant." Sienna clarified and ruffled her hair, sighing. Then she turned towards me and asked if I was okay. I just nodded without removing the tissue from my nose.
