《Romeo》Chapter 9

"Thank you." I gave him a grateful look as he finished explaining. I didn't want to imagine what would happen if Romeo didn't help me.

"You are welcome, but next time be careful. I can't always be there when you need a knight in shining armor." He stated seriously.

"Be humble for a few seconds." I sighed, shaking my head.

"Fine. Fine. Let's have breakfast. I am starving." He winked at me and gave me a charming smile.

I nodded, adjusting the cover around me. "Umm... Could you give me something to wear from your clothes?" I asked, embarrassed.

"Sure. And I washed your dress too." He replied as he stood up.

I looked at him, surprised. So thoughtful? Wow!

He came back from the walking-in closet holding a shirt in his hand while he wore a black shirt and gray sweatpants.

"Thank you." I gave him a warm smile while holding the cover around me tightly as I approached him and grabbed the shirt.

"You can get dressed here. Meanwhile, I will make breakfast for us." He rubbed the back of his neck, giving me a boyish smile. I nodded.

As he left, closing the door behind himself, I put on his shirt and went to the bathroom. After washing my face, I went to the kitchen.

"There is just oatmeal here. I don't often stay here. So there isn't a lot of food." He informed me as he placed a bowl of oatmeal and a mug of coffee.

"It is fine for me. Thank you." I smiled, sitting down on the chair as I took a sip from the coffee.

"You are welcome, little thing." He winked at me as he sat down on the chair beside me.

I frowned. "Don't call me little thing!"

He chuckled and started eating his oatmeal. I pursed my lips, trying to hold my smile, shaking my head and started eating.

"Romeo?" I bit my lower lip nervously. He looked at me, giving me a questioning look. "Please, don't tell my family what happened last night, especially Troy and my father."

He nodded. "Don't worry. This will stay between us. I knew you wouldn't want them to find out about it. So I brought you to my penthouse, instead of your house or mine." He commented in a serious tone. I gave him a grateful look.

After having breakfast, we changed our clothes. Then Romeo dropped me off my house.

After dropping Sienna off her house, I went home. I had to talk to Charlotte. She should give me a good explanation about last night.

Once I arrived at the mansion, I asked the housekeeper about Charlotte's whereabouts. She informed me that she hadn't come yet. I frowned, annoyed and went to her bedroom.

I was sitting on the couch in her bedroom, waiting for Lottie. After twenty minutes later, she finally came back. When she saw me in her bedroom, she gasped, frightened as I caught her off guard.

"What are you doing in my room? You scared me." She snapped angrily.

"Where were you yesterday?" I asked in a serious tone, looking at her.

She bit her lower lip nervously. "In Sienna's." She mumbled without looking at me and put her bag on the bed.

I heaved a sigh as I stood up and approached her, putting my hand into my pocket. "Don't lie to me. I know you weren't with Sienna."

She gulped, averting her gaze. "I am not lying. Why should I lie? We were together." She mumbled and gave me a nervous smile.

"Yes, why should you lie?" I mocked and clenched my fist. "You were with Nathan, weren't you?" I asked angrily. "Because you know Dad wouldn't let you spend the night with that prick, you lied to us." I commented in frustration.

"Don't talk nonsense! I was with Sienna." She ruffled her hair anxiously. "And don't call Nathan prick. He is your best friend." She warned me, folding her arms over her chest.

"Really? Then why didn't I see you? Because last night I was with her, and I am totally sure you weren't there. And because of your stupid lie, some prick almost tried to take an advantage of Sienna. Fortunately my father had an urgent job; so we cancelled our plans, and I went to that damned party. If I didn't arrive in time..." I clenched my fist in rage without finishing my sentence.

Her eyes widened in shock. She cleared her throat and asked, worried. "Is she fine? What happened?"

"Yes, she is." I sighed and told her about last night without giving all the details, especially what happened in my penthouse. "Now tell me! Were you with Nathan?" I asked sternly.

She heaved a sigh and nodded. "Yes, but don't tell Dad and Mom." She gave me a begging look.

"Of course... I will tell him." I smirked wickedly.

Now you fell in my hands!

"Please, Romeo. Don't tell Dad and Mom. They will get mad and ground me because of lying." She begged, looking at me with puppy eyes.

"It is your problem, sis." I said arrogantly and grinned devilishly.

She narrowed her eyes, clenching her fists. "Fine, then I will tell them you had a fight with two sisters because you fooled them and had sex with both of them. Moreover, you cheated on your girlfriend with them. So Samantha broke up with you because of it. Then you got detention. Because of you, Sienna got detention too." She gave me a wolfish smirk. "What do you think Dad and Mom will do after they hear about all of it?"

I gulped nervously. "You wouldn't dare." I rubbed the back of my neck, trying not to show my panic.

"Try me!" She smirked arrogantly.

"Charlotte!" I exclaimed angrily.

"If I get burned, you will too, my lovely brother." She commented cockily, giving me a triumphant grin and flipped her hair, self-satisfied.

"I hate you!" I scowled, furrowing my eyebrows. "How stupid of me that I thought you cared about me when you intervened between Lea and me, protecting me." I pouted.

"Because I needed to save my brother's ass. I know you don't use violence against girls. However, there weren't any other ways to pull her away from you. So I intervened, but it doesn't mean I will always be by your side." She stated cockily and winked at me playfully.

"You are cruel. Poor Nathan!" I scowled, frowning.

"I think we agreed, dear brother." She gave me a sly grin. "And don't dare to do something bad to Nathan." She threatened me, giving me a warning look.

"Whatever!" I mumbled and left, slamming the door behind me.

You will fall in my hand again. Then I will make you pay. But now I have to make some bastard pay.

I got in my car and drove away. When I was about to arrive at Robin's home, I saw him putting something in his trunk.

I stopped the car near his car quickly and got out of the car. I instantly grabbed his collar and punched his face.

"You bastard!" I exclaimed with rage and hit him again and again without letting him stand up.

"Let go of me!" He shouted, trying to hit me back, but I dodged and kicked him in the stomach. I grabbed his collar again, ignoring his pleas, and slammed him against his car furiously. "If I see you near Sienna again, I will kill you." I warned him firmly and punched him again.

When I pulled back, he covered his nose with his hand and collapsed to the ground, wincing in pain. I breathed deeply, trying to calm down, and went towards my car. As soon as I got in the car, I started the car and drove away, leaving dust behind.

After taking a shower, I felt relaxed, but my headache didn't totally pass. Once I changed my clothes, I lay down on my bed. I leaned back against the headboard while my mind was preoccupied with last night and... Romeo. I was so lucky Romeo was there. And I should admit he really surprised me with his caring attitude, despite the fact I didn't properly remember what happened last night. Yes, I still thought he was a jerk, but at least, when he wanted, he could be a kind, thoughtful person.

"Lovely jerk." I muttered without managing to hold my smile.
