Noah
"Phoebe?" I question, looking into her beautiful green eyes. Her eyes are filled with lust, something I'm not used to seeing this look in a woman's eyes. "I'm sorry for..."
"You don't need to apologise, Noah." Pheobe reaches her hand out, her fingers smoothing my beard hair down. She goes to remove her hand, but I love the feeling. I place it back onto my face, and she continues caressing my beard.
"I don't want to leave you, but I have to go to work." My thumb rubs her hand, "A patient of mine is leaving the ICU today, and I wanted to be there for it." Phoebe closes her eyes as I put my hand on her face.
"Go." Phoebe smiles, looking into my eyes. "Your patients are important to you; I know that first hand." She chuckles, never failing to make me laugh. Right at that moment, I wanted to kiss her, and never stop.
Instead, I let go of her face, kissing the palm of her hand. This made her blush slightly, hiding her face from me. I stand up, and she lowers her hands from her face just watching me.
"Noah?" Phoebe asks as walk to the door. I am about to ask, but then she shakes her head.
"Nevermind." She cuddles up to my pillow, wincing slightly as she takes in a deep breath. "Damn ribs." She whispers, reminding me that she fell last night.
"Phoebe, are you sure I didn't hurt you last night?" I ask, not really prepared for her answer.
"I hurt myself." Phoebe stares into my eyes, reassuring me. "But I'm just gonna take some pain medication, and I will be okay." She quickly adds, making me nod my head and walks into the bathroom.

I shower, wrap a towel around my waist and walk into my room. Phoebe is sitting up in the bed and holding her shirt up, examining her side. I see that the bruising and swelling has gotten worse since the last time I looked at them.
Once she notices me, she quickly covers herself back up. Then she just stares at me... With the towel around my hips, I walk into her room grabbing the ace bandage on her side table and go back into my room. Phoebe is now standing up and trying to put her hair into a ponytail. But she is struggling-
"Here, let me," I say, taking the hair tie from her hand. She sits down in the bed, grabbing her side. I put her hair up and tell her to pull up her shirt.
"Why?" Pheobe asks, looking up and down at me. I forgot that I am only in a white towel...
"Let me see your side," I say, as she sighs pulling up her shirt slightly. I tighten the towel around my hips, bending down and looking at her ribs closely.
"Good job on the hair, by the way." Phoebe smiles, lifting her injured arm to feel the ponytail.
"Thank you. Sit up straight." I tell her, and she does as I say. I wrap the ace bandage around her ribs, and once I see the relieved look on her face, I clip it closed. "Feel better?" I ask, and she nods her head.
"Thanks." Pheobe takes in a breath, smiling and biting her lip. "Um- you should- uh get ready for work." I nod my head, standing up and grabbing a pair of scrubs. I turn around to see Phoebe has left my room and closed the door behind her. I change into my scrubs, put on my boots and grab my stethoscope off my side table.

I leave my room, seeing Pheobe in the kitchen taking her pills. The bottle is almost empty, signalling she will be due for a check-up at the hospital next week. Wait, isn't her sisters coming to New York soon?
"Phoebe, when are your sisters coming?" I ask, going into the pantry and grabbing something quick to eat.
"Oh- um tomorrow," Phoebe says, putting the bread in the toaster. "We uh- I mean, I haven't told you that I booked a hotel in Manhatten for the week that the girls are here." She scratches her nose, looking at me.
"A hotel?" I ask, unsure why she would do that.
"Yeah- I would have them stay in my apartment, but the whole... ya know. But I am just not ready to go back there." Phoebe says as the toaster goes off. I wanted to say something, tell her that her sisters could stay here. But clearly, she doesn't want that.
"Is it a good hotel?" I ask, taking a bite of my granola bar. "Safe?"
"Yeah. It's in the heart of Manhatten, very safe." Phoebe nods her head, "You don't need to worry about me." She smiles, spreading butter on her toast.
"Okay good and Phoebe, I'm always gonna worry about you." I kiss her on the top of her head, walking to the front door. "Call me if you need me," I say, grabbing my lab coat and a heavy jacket. I look at her, biting onto her bottom lip, thinking hard.
"Noah-" She finally says, making me stop "Would it be okay if we stay here instead? I uh- I want you to meet my sisters." I am about to say something, but she quickly shakes her head. "Nevermind, it's stupid. You don't want three women staying in your apartment. I- I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking."
"Hey there." I place my coats on the kitchen counter and walk up to her. I grab her hands, making her look at me. "Of course, I want you guys can stay here. When you said you booked a hotel, I was nervous and a bit upset."
"You were? Wait- we can?" Phoebe smiles, and I nod my head. "Really?" Her smile gets bigger, hugging me.
"Of course." I smile, kissing her on the top of her head. "But I have to get to work, okay. When I get home, we will get everything ready for your sisters." I grab my coat off the counter and circle back to kiss her on the head again. I leave Phoebe blushing and headed to work.
I am so happy she will be staying with me. I can't wait to meet her sisters tomorrow. Then again, I'm actually pretty nervous...

Hello! I wanted this chapter to be a bit sweeter between Phoebe and Noah. Also, I wanted to show the trust between them now. I mean, she wants Noah to meet her sisters. This is a huge thing. But, I don't want things to go too fast between them. But then again, I don't want things to go too slow. I am just trying to find that happy medium... It's truly a struggle for me.
