《Save My Hope》11 | Uncertain

"Jace, please stop!" I scream as he pulls by my hair into the bathroom. "I'll be good. I promise!" I plead, seeing him throw open the bathroom door. "Jace- N-No! I'm sorry!" My voice breaks as he drags me into the bathroom. He slams the door shut and put the chair under the doorknob.
I crawl to the door, pleading for him to let me out. This is the second time today- All I did was go to class and come home.
"I told you only good girls get to call me Jace! You little whore only get to call me Jay, do you understand?" He hits the bathroom door with his fist, "Answer me!"
"I understand. I'm so sorry, please. Please, Jay! I won't do it again!" I am begging now. I don't want to sleep on this cold floor again- I hear him moving the chair away from the door, and I quickly get onto my knees, looking down at the floor. He opens it, pulling my hair, making me stand up.
"Undress for me." He pulls me into the bedroom, pushing me hard onto the bed. "Or I will rip them off your body." Before I move my hands to my top, he jumps on top of me ripping off my clothes.
"I will do it, Jay. Please, Jay!" I look around frantically, starting to rip things off of my body! "Jay, please!"
"Phoebe!" I hear a deep voice yell my name, "Hey! It's me!"
"No! No, no, no! Please, Jay! Please!"
I feel two firm hands grabbing my cheeks, trying to snap me out of my panicked state. It's Noah, not Jay! Noah. I shake my head, trying to get his hands off of me.
"Shh. It's okay. You're okay." Noah rubs his thumbs softly across my cheeks, wiping away the tears falling from my eyes. Why am I acting like this? I close my eyes against his chest, "Shh. I'm right here." Noah whispers into my hair, making me relax.
That's when all the sounds start flooding back in, the heart monitor is matching my frantic heart, but it's slowing down.
Noah lets me out of his embrace, looking into my eyes. That's when I notice he is still in the same scrubs he was in when I first woke up, except he is wearing a military print surgeons cap. He was probably in surgery saving someone's life, but now he is here. Keeping an eye on me? Noah helps me lay back down, checking to see if I opened up my stitches again. Luckily I didn't, but he told me repeatedly that I need to take it easy. He looks back at my monitors, and his face contorts.
"Your oxygen level is at 90 per cent on room air. Let me get you back on Oxygen." Noah grabs the nasal thing that I despise, wrapping it back around my face and into my nostrils. He watches the machines for a while, and he relaxes. "You need to keep that on until you're discharged okay?" He says all authoritatively.

"It's not like I did it on purpose..." I mean, watching as he reattached a big chord to my upper chest making the other monitors come back alive. "I-I'm sorry." I quickly say, embarrassed of myself and embarrassed he has to hook these all back on me for the third time.
When he's finished, he stares at all the monitors not saying anything to me. He is probably frustrated at me, upset with me. No, he's pissed at you.
"I'm not mad at you, Phoebe." It's like he read my mind... "I'm mad at why you're here. I'm furious at the person who made you end up here." He admits, walking to the window opening the blinds. "You shouldn't be in the hospital." He pulls off his surgeon cap and runs his hand through his hair.
I look away from him, nodding softly. I know Noah is right... I should not be here, in this stupid situation.
"What woke you up?" I hear his voice coming closer, so I look in his direction, "It sounded like a nightmare. You thought I was him."
"It was nothing. I'm fine." I stop myself before I tell him any more; he shakes his head, stopping and staring at me.
"I want you to move in with me." Noah says, crossing his arms over his chest, "Just until that bastard is in prison." I feel my jaw opening, closing to swallow a lump in my throat then opening again. I'm not sure what to say or do. I can't move in with him... He- I don't even know him. Plus he is my Doc-
"You don't have to give me an answer right now, Phoebe." He sighs, seeing my hesitation. "But I will be discharging you in a few days, and I would like to know you will be safe and in a good environment so you can fully recover."
"Noah-" I prop myself up, "Doctor McGuire. I-" Ow. Ow! Bad decision... "Ow. Ow!" I wince, following the voice inside my head and laying back down, "My side!" I go to move my hand to my side, but Noah quickly stops my hand.
"No, no, no. Don't touch your surgical site." Doctor McGuire moves my hands away from me and to my side, "Squeeze the bed while I get you, morphine." I nod my head as he rushes outside and comes back with a filled syringe. He pushes it through the IV bag, and I feel a burning liquid then relief.
"There you go." Noah throws the syringe in this red bin by the door and comes back to the bed. "I got you." He whispers, brushing the hair away from my face and petting my hair. "Doctor McGuire." I start, feeling sleepy again. "I can't move in with you," I whisper, watching him as he pulls out something from his breast pocket.

"Follow my finger." Noah puts his pointer finger in front of my face and shines a light in my eyes. I follow his finger to go left, right, up and down. He pushes a button on the side of the bed, and the bed starts moving so I'm in a sitting position. I watch as he grabs his stethoscope from the recliner and puts the earpieces into his ears and puts the end piece to my upper chest.
"Slow deep breaths." Doctor McGuire looks down at me, making me very anxious. "Can you sit up for me, slowly?" He puts his hand on my shoulder, stopping me from moving further and puts the stethoscope on my bareback. Instantly I feel chills shoot through my body. I do as he says, taking in slow breaths and he nods his head.
"Am I going to live doctor?" I joke, trying to shift the atmosphere in this hospital room.
"Yes." He smiles, moving the stethoscope from my back and putting it around his neck. Noah smiled... He has such a beautiful smile. My heart feels like it skipped a beat, but the monitor doesn't show it.
"Good." I smile, adjusting myself in the bed. He grabs something from the end of the hospital bed and sits down on the recliner chair.
"Your pupils are starting to equalize. Your lungs are clear with no liquid, and your heart is beating strong." He types stuff into the- what looks like an iPad and then looks at the machines. "Heart Rate is 84, and Blood Pressure is 108/68" He looks at me, then continues, Oxygen Saturation is 99, Respiration is 16 and Temperature is 98.6."
When he's finished, he opens up the door handing the iPad to a nurse and tells her to bring a syringe filled with antibiotics.
"So when can I actually go home? I'm curious." I ask as he waits for the nurse to return. "It's been two days, and you're ready to leave?" He scoffs at me, "You had an open splenectomy, lost over four pints of blood, you also have a minor concussion, and two broken ribs. You aren't leaving for a week, a week and a half maybe. But then you have six to twelve weeks to recover from the injuries."
"I'm leaving as soon as I can." I cross my arms over my chest as best as I could and stare at him in his dark brown eyes. "Can I use the room phone?" I ask, stretching my arm out to reach the phone. I need to call my boss...
He quickly stops me from moving further handing me his cell phone. "Here. Use my phone. "I- Um thanks." I nod, turning on the screen. No password... I type in Mia's direct line, and within a few rings, she answers with the same script.
"Hello. Mia Birmingham from the New York Times. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking to?"
"Mia. It's Phoebe Marshall." I look at Noah, starting to bite on my fingernail. "I-"
"Ah. Phoebe! My not so favourite photojournalist. Why are you calling me?" Her fake voice is gone, and now I have to get her to let me take off for a week...
"I'm in the hospital." I blurt it out, staring at Noah, "I um- had an accident, and my Doctor won't discharge me for a week." He looks away, smiling softly.
"Aw, poor Phoebe." She says through fake sympathy, "I'm sorry to hear that. I guess I will let Mason have all of your stories."
"Mia. No. I-"
"Feel better. Bye!" She says, hanging up on me making me angry and upset.
"She hung up on me," I say, letting my hand drop to my lap. "My career is going to be ruined by the time I go back to work." I sigh, shaking my head and pulling the blankets close to me.
"She sounds very..." He stops, looking around. "Demanding."
"Very." I laugh, knowing what he really wanted to say. I look at him, then look out the window. I yawn, feeling exhausted...
"Get some rest, sweetheart. We need to get you up and walking as soon as possible." He walks to the window, closes the blinds and stands there watching me.
"I- I can't move in with you," I whisper, looking him up and down. I can't be attracted to him... "It's just going to end badly." I didn't mean to say it out loud, but it just happened.
"It won't." Noah grins, "Just move in with me." He whispers, walking to the bed and grabbing my hand slowly. "I need to know you're safe." He picks up my hand, putting it against his cheek.
I- I don't know what to do...

Hello Wattpaders! It seems like Phoebe is suffering from major PTSD with being assaulted. I mean, who wouldn't. I hate putting my characters through horrible things...
Questions:
1. Well, he asked her to move in with her... How do you think this is gonna go?
2. Also, how do you think Noah is as a Doctor? He seems like a perfectionist to me.
Thank you, again!

Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
