《Sugar And Spice》Chapter forty-three: I do

"We have to wake up," Alex laughed while shaking me.

"But I don't want to," I whined while throwing a pillow over my head.

"Faith, he's getting married in three hours, which I'm sure is the time that you and Hayley need to get ready," he mumbled against my cheek before kissing it.

"Fine," I huffed before sitting up. I dragged myself to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face before coming back out to Alex on his phone. "I'm going to go and get my hair done first but do you want your coffee right now?" I asked while brushing my hair.

"I love you," he grinned. He wanted coffee.

"Love you too. Coffee?" He nodded in response. I chuckled before going down to the kitchen and making his coffee. I went back upstairs and handed it to him before going to Hayley's room.

"You do my makeup and I'll do your hair?" she lifted an eyebrow at me.

"As you wish," I chuckled.

She sat down in the chair so I did her makeup first. It took longer than usual of course because this is a lot more than we would usually do.

"All done," I dusted my hands before we switched places. She did my hair in stunning curls before pinning two strands at the back, braiding them. "Thank you," I sang while standing up after she was done.

I gave her a quick hug before going back to my room to do my makeup. I walked in and Alex was still in the same spot. Halfway through my makeup, Alex decided that it was a good time to annoy me and demand some attention. He came and stood between me and the mirror, blocking my view.

"What are you doing?" I put my brush down and tilted my head to the side.

"Let me do your makeup," he took the brush from me.

"Alex, no." I talked like I was speaking to a child.

"But I want your attention," he pouted.

"And you will have all of it after I'm done getting ready. Okay?" He nodded. "Now, why don't you go and shower and start getting ready?" I suggested.

"Does that mean I get your attention sooner?" he smiled.

"Alex, are you drunk?" I asked in all seriousness.

"No," he laughed, "Just messing with you. I'll go shower." He kissed me quickly before going into the bathroom.

I had been standing there in the bathroom for five minutes, trying to close the zipper on the back of my dress. "Alex!" I called.

He came in with his hair all messed up, sticking out in weird directions, with his tie over his shoulder.

"What the hell happened to you?" I asked.

"I don't know how to tie a tie," he huffed.

"I'll tie it for you, but can you please zip me up?" I turned my back to him.

"You know how to tie a tie?" he asked in surprise while zipping me up.

"Nope." I lied while turning to face him. "Which is why..." I mumbled. "No tie," I pulled it off his head.

"It's a wedding," he deadpanned.

"So?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

"You do know how to tie a tie. Faith, please?" he requested.

"Okay," I sighed in defeat before lifting his collar and then tying the tie for him. "There. Where's the blazer?" I asked while we stepped back into the room. I grabbed his blazer off the hanger and held it out for him to slip on.

Once he did, we both threw our shoes on, unfortunately, I was forced to wear heels. "And now what?" he asked.

"Now, we go meet the groom," I dusted his tux before we headed to Dylan's room. We went down the hall to Dylan's room and I knocked before entering. "Hey," I sang while he also struggled to tie his tie. "Seriously? What is up with guys not knowing how to tie their ties," I huffed before turning him to face me and tying his tie.

"Thanks," he smiled before pulling his vest and then blazer on.

"You ready?" I asked while sitting on the edge of his bed while Alex sat beside me.

"Nope, but I love her very much. I'll get over the nerves. Hopefully," he mumbled the last bit.

"You'll be fine," I stood up and patted his shoulder. "I'll see you when we're leaving." With that, we left him to get ready.

We all stood up as the music played while Olivia walked down the aisle. She gave me a small smile when my eyes met hers. I've met her many times, Dylan would always bring her to visit. She's like an older sister, I love her. She gave me a suggestive look when she saw Alex.

I laughed while she walked past. She got to the front and stood in front of Dylan while her dad kissed her cheek before sitting down. The priest began saying the speech and we all sat down. Dylan and Olivia said their vows before placing the rings on.

"Do you, Dylan, take Olivia Wilson as your lawfully wedded wife?" Dylan was smiling so big.

"Do you, Alex, take Faith Hughes as your lawfully wedded wife?" I heard Alex whisper while his hand found mine. "I do," Alex whispered while Dylan said,

"I do."

"Faith, do you take Alex Ryder as your lawfully wedded husband?" Alex whispered with a smirk.

"Olivia, do you take Dylan Anderson as your lawfully wedded husband?"

She was crying some happy tears.

"I do," I whispered with a smile.

"I do," Olivia said.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Dylan, you may now kiss the bride." And as he did, everyone broke out into cheers and claps but before I could, Alex kissed me.

"This isn't our wedding," I chuckled while pulling away and standing up, clapping for the newly wedded couple.

"Go!" Dylan urged Hayley and me to take part in the bouquet throwing.

"But we're not bridesmaids," I laughed.

"So? You're her friends, come on!" he pushed us. We stood amongst her bridesmaids behind her while she prepared to throw the bouquet. She threw it and I caught it.

I caught it.

How? I have no idea. I saw some of the girls trying to snatch it so I made sure to get out of there. I felt there was a stampede coming right at me. "Jesus! Okay!" I screamed before turning around and throwing it to the bunch. Alex laughed while walking over to me. "They are crazy!" I laughed.

"You caught it. You know what that means?" he smirked.

"That I'm getting married next," I put air quotes.

"You're gonna marry me. Just wait and watch," he smirked.

"Okay, whatever you say." It's not that I don't want to marry him in the future, it's just that we're so young right now. We have our whole lives ahead of us and who knows what is to come? We have college and careers and living our lives and marriage is a part of that life, a part I can't predict right now.

"So, how'd it happen?" Olivia asked. Olivia and I were sitting at the table while Alex and Dylan were talking.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"He's the guy you hated. How'd you manage to fall in love with him?" she lifted an eyebrow at me. "Well," I sighed, pausing to think about how to phrase this.

"He helped me through a lot even though we hated each other. I have no idea why he did it, but he did. And then we just happened," I shrugged.

"Obviously he did it because he's always liked you," she deadpanned.

"He was a player, Liv." I chuckled.

"Hmm, yet you happened and he changed. For you. Don't lose him, he's perfect for you," she nudged my arm with hers.

"So," I sighed, "How does it feel to be his wife?" I smirked.

"It doesn't feel all that different, it's just nice to know that we put a ring on it. Now he's legally mine and I'm his," she shrugged slightly. "I really love him and I'm very grateful for him. He's my world, Faith." Her eyes were glossing over again.

"Oh, come on, don't go all soft yet! You have forever with him now. Anyway, any honeymoon plans?" I smiled.

"We're going to Greece," she replied.

"Was this his idea?" I questioned.

"Yeah," she nodded.

I gasped, "He stole my honeymoon spot!" I slammed my hand on the table.

"Oh come on, you know you'd rather go to the Bahamas even though you say Greece is fun. For your honeymoon? Nope," she shook her head. She's not wrong.

"I won't argue with the bride," I shrugged.

"Goodnight, guys!" We just had dinner and were all finally going to bed. Alex and I went into our room and I immediately knocked my heels off. I was standing there and sighing in exhaustion when he just randomly unzipped my dress.

I turned to him and rolled my eyes. "I did it now, go change," he laughed.

I chuckled before grabbing my pajamas and going to wash my face and change. I came back out to Alex knocked out in sweatpants and nothing else.

Imagine being married to him.

I would love to marry him.
