《Sugar And Spice》Chapter thirty-three: Bacardi

It was now Friday. The entire week had gone by in a breeze and we had no plans for this weekend. We were supposed to have a week off as a break for all the sports players since its season for pretty much every sport our school does and so everyone was looking for something to do.
"We could go to the beach again, no?" Hayley suggested while we sat on the grass with Alex and Daniel at lunch.
"We could go to my lakehouse?" Daniel offered.
"Why don't we go to the color festival? It's at the beach so we can just go there and then spend a day or two at your lakehouse?" Alex suggested.
"Sounds like fun," I shrugged.
"Cool, we'll meet tomorrow at the beach at noon?" Daniel asked.
"Sounds like a plan," Alex and I said in sync. After a little more talking, the bell rang and we went to our last two periods before heading back home.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Alex asked while our hands held intertwined.
"Yes, sir," I leaned up on my toes and kissed his cheek.
"I love you," he smiled.
"I love you too," I smiled back.
"Bye," he pulled me into a kiss.
"Bye," I mumbled against his lips before he left and I closed the door. I leaned against the door with my eyes closed, letting out a satisfied sigh when I jumped.
"Aren't you two just adorable?" my mom squealed.
"Totally," I laughed awkwardly before sprinting past her, up to my room. Alex had stayed over for dinner and had just left and I was planning on finishing some of the homework I had tonight and the rest after we come back from the beach.

Yeah no I just finished all the homework I had, it wasn't too much. I sighed and packed all my things up on my desk. Turning the lamp off, I stood up to see Alex sitting on his desk, with his chin resting on his arms while he looked at me with a smile. I opened my window and leaned on it. "What are you doing?" I chuckled.
"Watching. In the most non-creepy way possible," he grinned.
"How long have you been doing that?" I asked while letting my hair down.

"A while. You look pretty," he laughed.
Something's not right.
"Hi!" Daniel stumbled in, waving at me like an excited kid.
I watched carefully for anything different on his desk. Everything seemed normal. I scanned his room, leaning further out and that's when I saw it. A bottle of 151 Bacardi.
They both were drunk.
"Alex, what did you two do tonight?" I asked in a sing-song voice.
"We just played some video games and hung out," he shrugged.
"Can you stand up for me?" I asked.
He stood up way too fast and fell right back down immediately. When Daniel got busy helping him up, I ran out of my room and down the stairs.
My parents were in their rooms so I stopped there to say I'm going to Alex's before running out.
I ran to his door and rang the doorbell a million times. Daniel opened the door with surprise.
"Hey! You were right there!" He pointed up to the ceiling.
"Magic," I huffed while pushing past him. I saw Alex sliding down the railing, falling as he reached the end. I huffed and left my phone on the counter, sighing as I walked over to Alex, kneeling beside him. "Hi," I sang.
"How did you get here? Did you fly?" His eyes widened in excitement.
"Yeah, I did." I nodded. "Alex, are you drunk?" I am well aware that he does but let's just see if he confesses.
"Daniel brought it!" he pointed right at him, defensively.
"Alex!" Daniel whined and stomped.
"Daniel brought what?" I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Bacardi," Alex replied guiltily.
I sighed and stood up, dialing Hayley's number. I cannot handle both of them on my own. "Alex, where are your parents?" I asked while helping him up after I hung up on Hayley.
"They left early. They're in Florida for a holiday," he explained while he stood up.
"And yours?" I turned to Daniel.
"With his," he pointed at Alex.
"All our parents are meeting there you know, yours, mine, Daniel's, Hayley's," Alex slurred.
I knew they were going to Florida I just didn't know they were going with them. The doorbell rang and I shot to the door, desperate for Hayley's help. I opened the door, simultaneously hearing a thump behind me.

Alex fell. Again.
"Bacardi?" Hayley questioned.
"Yup." I huffed.
Daniel pretty much jumped on her, wrapping his arms around her and I left her to handle him while going back to Alex.
"Ow," he whined, rubbing his elbow that he fell on.
"I'm sorry," I chuckled, holding his hands in mine and helping him up. "Are you okay?" I asked while beginning to lead him up to his room.
"Wait," he held up one finger before kissing my cheek. "Now we can go," he nodded.
I laughed slightly before we continued up. I got to his bed and sat him down, kneeling in front of him. "Are you tired?" I asked.
He nodded absentmindedly but his eyes were droopy. I grabbed him a pair of sweatpants and handed them to him. He threw his shirt off and I turned around while he pulled the sweatpants on.
I felt him wrap his arms around me from behind before he pulled me down on the bed with him. "Alex," I chuckled, rolling onto my stomach, lying beside him. "Go to sleep," I brushed his hair out of his eyes.
A while went by and I thought he knocked out so I got up to leave but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back down, "Baby!" he whined, stretching out his words.
"Yes, baby?" I said mockingly.
"Don't go!" he pouted.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked while he pulled me on top of him, his arms around my waist, locking me there.
"Stay here, babes."
He's a clingy drunk. Noted.
"I love you," he ran his fingers through my hair.
"And I love you," I replied. I rolled off of him and lay beside him.
He rolled onto his side, resting his head on my torso.
I ran my fingers through his hair. "I'm just gonna go see if Daniel's still here, okay?" I whispered, kissing the top of his head.
"No," he pouted.
"I'll come right back," I chuckled softly.
"Promise?" he looked up at me, holding up a pinky.
"I promise," I replied, locking my pinky with his. I crawled out of bed and leaned over the staircase railing to see Daniel and Hayley knocked out on the couch. I went back to his room.
He was sitting against his headboard, pouting.
"What happened?" I asked while sitting in front of him.
"You left me," he huffed while folding his arms across his chest and looking out the window.
"No, I didn't. I told you I'd be right back and here I am," I chuckled while pulling his hands into mine.
"You left," he huffed.
"I'm right here," I sat beside him. "Alex." No response. "Alex." Nothing. I thought before tilting his head to face me. "Baby," I bit back a laugh. "Babes."
He finally looked at me and grinned.
"Sleepy?" I asked.
He nodded slightly, his head falling onto the pillow while his arm wrapped around my waist. His head rested in the crook of my neck and he left a small kiss there before he dozed off while I did too.
x-X-x
I woke up the next morning and left him sleeping. I got downstairs to see Hayley on her phone with Daniel dead asleep beside her. "Clingy drunks huh?" she asked.
"Just like us," I replied while grabbing myself iced water.
"Is he up?" she asked.
"Nope, I'll wake him up in a minute," I said while sipping on my water.
"Oh," she shrugged before kicking Daniel off the couch.
"Ow!" he winced while standing up. "What the hell?" he asked.
"I had to wake you up," Hayley reasoned.
Are you kidding?
"Oh, really?" he scoffed before tickling her.
I left the two to it before going back up to Alex. I left my water on his desk before lying beside him. "Hello?" I poked his cheek. "The sun's out, come on," I kissed his cheek.
He groaned while shuffling. He lay on his stomach, his head facing me. He opened his eyes and looked at me.
I placed multiple kisses on his face before he finally woke up. "Morning," I smiled.
He closed his eyes and inhaled before shooting up and hovering over me. "Why wake me up?" he croaked.
"We're supposed to leave in an hour," I replied.
He sighed and lied back down while I lay on top of him.
My arms rested around his neck while I kissed his cheek repeatedly. "Come on, let's go," I mumbled between kisses.
"He brought Bacardi, didn't he?" he groaned.
"Yeah, he did." I nodded. I brushed his hair out of his face before pecking his lips and getting off. "We have to get ready, come on."
