It's been a week since my dad passed away, i know I'm broke but I realize that life must go on. Someone in the family has to make a move and move on. I know everyone must be feel sad to loose someone especially our closest family member.

Mom is so broke, both of her eyes still look swollen red. And i can see that she's broken inside from her eyes. Ariana and Alec, they left yesterday. While my aunts are still here to comfort my mom, i see her friends always come here everyday to cheer her up.

Gabriel, he's the head of Valerie and Co now. He takes the job professionally and he continued working after dad left us. Everyone is surprised with the news and couldn't believe that he passed away in a quiet young age.

Now here i am laying alone on my bed while staring at the ceiling, wondering what i want to do next. I remember when i asked Apollo to marry me the night after the funeral, but he rejected it. I got a mix emotion that day so I didn't know what i said that day.

The saddest part is mom gave me a box of letter from dad. She said that he wrote so many letters for me, but I'm too scared to open it cause i know I'm going to break into tears.

Every letter got a title on it, and it is my dad's handwritten. He wrote so many letters and it means he knew that there wasn't many times left for him.

I slowly open up the box and i see the first letter with 'First Letter' title on it. I think it is time for me to be strong and open it up,

I slowly ripped the paper and pick the paper inside of the letter case,

First Letter

Dear my daughter Avalana,

My beautiful sweet daughter, i still remember the day that Tatjana felt sick and there's the moment where i knew that a little angel was sleeping inside of her tummy.

You're probably going to read this the day after I finally gave up and walk away from your life. I'm going to miss u, your mom Gabriel and Laura.

I know that your mom and i are always away, I actually hate it to leave my only daughter alone. The feeling of scared and curious of your conditions always through on my mind.

Even if you didn't know that i always know where you at and with who. I always send a bodyguards to protect you from everything that I cannot reach from miles away. And i always got a report from them, i know all of your friends and their family just for your protection.

Your mom and i found out about my cancer no longer after Gabriel and Laura got Married, that night your mom couldn't stop crying. Seeing her crying like that making me scared to tell both of you and Gabriel, cause i know it is going to affect your life.

I know I don't have much time, there's still one thing that i want to do before I left. I want to make sure that nobody is going to hurt my only daughter especially a man. And i want her to find a person that can take a big responsibility to protect and love her.

I really want to take her down the aisle but I don't have much time, so i talked to my good friend Philip about my health condition and he promise that he will take care of you like his own Daughter.

He also asked me what do i want him to do for me then i told him that i want Lana to meet his only son Apollo. I knew that Lana and Apollo are friends since freshman and i also got a feeling inside that saying he's a right man to take care of her.

Besides Philip is a good friend of mine and i trust him with my life. So that's the main reason why i want you to be engaged that night and i feel so grateful that both of you fell in love with one another.

So that is the reason why i did all of that things to you, just to protect you and i just want you to be happy.

I love you so much, i just want the best for you. Even if I couldn't express how i really feel i just want you to know that i always love my family.

Reading the first letter making so many tears fall from my eyes, i feel so sad and missing him so much. So he's been there the whole time, he actually cares about me. I didn't know that he really thought about my future and now I realize that what he had done to me always ended up well. He always want the best for me the whole time, and I didn't realize it before.

"Lana" i heard Matilda is calling me while knocking on the door.

"Come in" i said.

She opens the door then walk inside,

"Honey Your mom want to talk to you" she said and that makes me getting up from the bed right away.

I walk out from my room and make my way straight to her room, i knocked on the door and she told me to get in. I walk inside and found her laying on the bed while watching a tv show.

"Sweetheart" she said before I crawled up the bed to hug her.

"Mom, you need to get up we need to move on i know it's hard but we have to try" i said to her.

"I know sweetie" she said before pulling me closer into a hug.

"Mom lets have a vacation, we need a family vacation lets invite Gabriel, Laura and Jacob" i said to her.

"Sweetheart" she said.

"I'll arrange everything just tell me it's a yes or a no?" I asked her.

She close her eyes for a second before open it up,

"Okay lets go on a vacation" She said.

"But this time, I'll choose the place" i said cause I don't want to bring my mom into a country that she had visited with dad because it is only going to make her miss him more and the memories are going to play on her mind, besides the vacation is to cheer up my mom to bring back a smile to her beautiful face.

"Okay i'll leave it all to you" she finally smiles.

"I love you mom" i said before started to hug her.

"I love you too my baby" she said with her arm around me making me feel so comfortable.

I called Gabriel and he's agreed with my idea to arrange a family vacation at least for a week, my mission is to cheer up everyone especially mom and bringing back her inner glow and her sweet smile.

Gabriel is busy with his work now so i have to arrange it all by myself. I called mom's private jet air crew and they're ready to make an appointment even we're already set the date.

I talked to Gabriel about the destination and all i got is both of mom and dad have traveled around the world so wherever am i going to take her there must be always a little memories about my dad on her mind.

So after having a long talk with Gabriel i think it is best for all of us to have a family vacation on our private island. Because there isn't going to be a lot of people and it is good for all of us to have a time to relax. Although there's so many memories about him, it is a place that i'll never get bored to visit.

Now I'm calling Apollo to talk to him about my family vacation, so he knows that I'm not going to be around for maybe a couple weeks.

"Hey?" His voice finally appeared.

"Hey what are you doing are you busy?" I asked him.

"No, whats up" he said.

"So my family and i are going to have a vacation for a couple weeks" i said.

"Woah cool, where to?" He asked.

"Our private island, Gabriel and I think it is the best way to cheer her up. A family vacation." I explained to him.

"Oh I've heard about your family's private island" he said and i just stay in a silent.

"By the way I finally opened one of the letter from him" I said.

"Really? How's it?" He asked.

"Well, quite emotional he really explains how's our arrangement started" I said.

"I'm sorry Lana" he said.

"No it's okay" i said.

"He's happy that we're together" i said.

He stays in a silent for a second and it makes me thinking if the connection lost for a second.

"Apollo?" I called his name.

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Nothing I'm just"

"Are you sick?" I asked him.

"I have a fever Lana" he said and it suddenly makes me confused.

"Why didn't you tell me? Since when?" I asked him.

"I don't want to disturb you I don't want to make you feel confused and sad after what you've been through this week, since yesterday" he said and it makes me stay in a silent for a minute.

"Have you take a medicine?" I asked him.

"I have, don't worry i can take care of myself" he said.

"You sure?" I asked him.

"Of course" he said.

I haven't met him for a few days, and I didn't know that he's sick.

"I'm going to leave for the vacation tomorrow morning" I said.

"Be careful, take care" he said with a low voice and it's making me worried about him.

"Okay then, take a rest i'll talk to you later i love you" i said.

"I love you too" he said.

I put my phone on the bed before started to continue to pack my things for the vacation,

I parked my car in Apollo's house, i want to make sure that he's okay before i leave for the vacation, so at least I've seen his condition before i go.

I entered the lobby and walk straight to his room, I knocked on the door before i walk inside of his room.

"Come in" he said.

I open the door slowly and found him laying on the bed while watching a Tv. He has a blanket covering his body and he looks pale. He looks surprised when he sees me,

"I told you that i can take care of myself"he said trying to get up from the bed.

"I cannot just leave you then having fun" I said before sitting at the end of the bed.

I move closer before putting my arm around him, his body feels hot because of the fever. He put his head on my shoulder while i brush his shoulder with my hand.

"Should we got to the hospital?" I look at him who's closing his eyes while slowly putting his head on my shoulder.

"No, i have my personal doctor here" he said with a smile on his face.

Even when he's sick he still makes me smile,

"Come on do you want me to take you to the hospital?" I asked once again.

"No thank you, but i'll get better in a few days" he said.

"I had dinner an hour ago and I already took a medicine" he said.

"Good then you just have to sleep, i'll stay here until you fall asleep" i said.

"No you have a morning flight you'll get tired" he said.

"Okay i'll leave in a few minutes but i want you to take a rest okay" i said to him.

"Understand doctor" he smirks while both of his eyes closed.

"I love you so much" he whispered.

"I love you too" i said.
