The list of the students that are going to join the relay race is finally out, and my name is on the list. The coach said that we have to practice almost everyday especially on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. We have to be serious cause this athletic competition is only led once a year.

I'm carrying my sport bag from my car into the women's changing room, I opened the locker then put the bag inside of it. So I don't have to carry it around, besides my personal locker are full of books and some other personal belongings.

I locked the key and put it inside of my school bag, I walk out of the changing room then I suddenly see Tasha and Clara. Both of them are my partners on the relay race since I was on 9th grade.

"Hi Girl," Clara said.

I opened my arm in excitement, I remember hot it felt like to share a group hug with them every time we got into the finish Line. I'm so excited to feel that kind of feeling again this year.

"It is Going to be our last race," I smile.

"I know," Tasha smile.

"Lets practice and win it okay," I said with a smile on my face.

"Of course," Clara said.

"Gotta go babes bye!" I said before walking away from them.

I can say that I'm excited for this year's relay race cause I gotta feeling that we can win it again today, I really want to get the first place.

School time has ended, it is time for us to practice. I meet so many new faces joining the relay race practice this year, yet I also see so many familiar faces from last year too.

I was about to get into the changing room when coach Miranda suddenly greeted me.

"Hey Lana," coach miranda says while her face looks a little confuse.

"Hey coach, everything's alright?" I asked her.

"Guess the football players are also using the field today, I forgot to talk to coach Parker about it wish he will share the field with us," she said.

"But we're only using the track not the actual field, he'll be alright with it," I said.

"The cheerleaders have the same practice day as the football players," She said.

crap.

"They don't really have an upcoming competition so I guess it'll be alright," I said.

"I hope so," she smiles.

"I'm going to talk to coach Parker about it, you better get change, we still have the parking lot to practice," she smiles then I laugh.

When I got into the changing room, I'm surprised to see some people who's ready with their sport clothes on. It makes me very happy to see many new faces this year.

I began to change into a sport clothes, where I put on a black spirt leggings, a grey nike sport bra and last but not least a thin shirt that pretty comfortable for me to run. I also put on my running shoes, which has to be comfortable to wear.

I take my bottle and a mini towel from my sport bag before heading into the field.

When I got there, I can see that the football players are also about to begin their practice by doing a warm up together. I put on my bottle next to my towel on one of the bench while looking at coach Miranda who's having a conversation with coach parker and coach Raina, who happens to be the cheerleaders's coach.

The cheerleaders are doing the warm up too, I can see Diana is leading the warm up in front of the cheerleaders. I can see curiosity on their faces when they see our appearance here, which suddenly filling 'their' field.

"Avalana!" One of my friend named Dylan greeted me.

"Hey! It is nice to see you again." I said to him.

"Are you ready for another Trophy?" He smirks.

"Of course, we're gonna win this," I said then give him a hi five.

We were doing a warming up when coach Miranda suddenly called my Dylan and I's name. I run into her then join the meeting.

"This is Coach Parker and Coach Raina, you should thank them to let us borrow their Practice schedule," coach Miranda said.

"Oh that's okay Miranda," Coach Raina said.

"Yeah the boys still can practice on the field" Coach parker said.

"The girls still can practice in The basketball court that's enough," coach Raina said.

"Thanks coach," both of Dylan and I said.

My eyes land on Diana who has her eyes on me, I smile at her then she waves at me.

After few minutes of talking with one another we finally got a chance to start the practice, since coach Raina told the cheers they aren't going to practice today some of the cheerleaders went home and some of them stay here to watch us practice. I feel bad for the cheers but Diana keep supporting me by calling my name all the time.

"Okay 16 runners, we have competition in 2 weeks you have to be serious okay" Coach Miranda said to us.

She already made a group for all of us and I'm with Tasha, Clara and Sabrina. Sabrina is my junior but I'm glad that she's on my team, cause she runs like a wind.

"This year Captain is going to be Avalana for the girls and Dylan for the guys" she said.

To be honest I'm not surprised since she called me thank the other coaches for borrowing their field.

We started to practice by jogging around the field 3 times then we began to run one by one,

"Tasha, Lana, Clara and Sabrina on the track please" Coach Miranda said.

The four of us walk into the line and stay on our start positions, both of our hands stay behind the line until coach miranda blew out the whistle.

I get up from the ground then began to run, i feel a smile appeared on my face while I'm running with three of them. We ran and ran until we reach the finish line, a smile appeared on my face when I know that I'm the first one who reached the finish line.

"Woah! It's been a really long time" Tasha said while jumping.

"It was great!" I said.

"Still the fastest huh," Clara smirks.

"I'm glad." I said while catching up my breath.

I take a seat on the bench while watching the others running. I was looking at them until my eyes land on none other than Apollo who already has his eyes on me. I look away and pretend that I don't care, because I gotta focus to practice.

Today's practice is amazing, feel pretty tired, but it all gone after I took a long relaxing shower. Now I'm lying on my home theater sofa with a music called Photograph by Ed sheeran playing on the big screen in front of me.

I'm lying here with a leggings and comfortable oversized hoodie, I'm here cause I'm bored to study at my own room. Sometimes I need a new sensation so I don't get bored easily.

I finally finished my homework for like an hour, the clock shows that it is just 7 pm and I don't want to sleep yet. So I rolled into the side of the sofa to reach the computer that controls everything here at the home theater.

I click on one of the files in the computer that contains many videos and pictures from my childhood. I can say that it is one of the most important files that I have.

I clicked on it then play one of the video from my childhood, the video began to play and started to show the video of my little self.

It was when we were on my grandparents house, we were having a trip to their house and all I can remember that they gave me lots of love.

I started to lie on the big sofa and with my hand wrapped around my legs,

The little me has a short hair and big blue eyes, my mom used to dress me with a floral cute dress. And the video is from our Christmas holiday a few years ago when it was snowing. Snow covers all of the house and the little me looks so excited. The little was running around on maroon boots with my grandpa on his backyard.

I wore a coat that covers my head and a gloves that covers my hands, I can hear my mom's voice behind the camera.

"Lana make a snowman baby," my mom said while recording me.

Little me was trying to run to my mom with my grandpa holding on my hand, I see Gabriel was helping my mom to make a snowman and all I do was messing it up.

My grandpa laughed then he hold me up, I stay calm when he picked me up. I calmly look at my mom and my brother who's trying to build a snowman.

Everyone said that I'm the closest person to my grandpa, we have a similar personalities and I love him so much.

After mom and Gabriel finally done building a snowman grandpa finally let me go but all I do is taken off the snowman's nose and throw it away.

"Lanaaa," Gabriel yelled and put the carrot back back on its places.

"Avalana baby," my mom said then brings the camera close to my face.

"Say merry Christmas," my mom said to me.

"Merry Christmas" I said,

I smile and I suddenly feel a hot tears falling from my eyes to my cheeks but I brush it away with my sleeves.

The video ended and the next video began to play, it is a video where Gabriel, my cousins and I opened up the present under the Christmas tree.

I was sitting on my grandpa's lap with my purple sweater and a crazy hair on, this time I hear dad's voice behind the camera. Mom was wearing a pretty long sleeves dress and she's trying to put on a santa's hat on my head but I refused it and tried to take it off.

"It looks good on you Lana," my dad said, but I only yelled at him before throwing the hat away and my dad only laugh over my action.

Ah I miss how my dad used to support me and be with the family like this, ever since my grandparents passed away everything's change and it makes me so sad.

"This is the present for Avalana Valerie," I see my dad's hand holding a gift and put it in front of me.

My grandpa is smiling while little me is trying so hard to unwrap the gift unti my mom finally help me to open the gift.

"It's a bear!" I said with my little voice looking so excited.

"Whose gift is that?" My dad asked and my grandpa giving him a smirk.

"I think it is more like a cat Lana," My dad said.

"No it's a bear," I said with a little grumpy face.

My mom and my dad are only laughing and i started to hug the bear, I still have that bear until now I mean cat. Always been my favorite gift, I still have everything my grandpa gave to me.

Looking into the old video makes me sad and I can feel my eyes are covered with tears, I feel my cheek is wet because of my own tears.

The home theater door suddenly being opened by someone and the lights from the outside making the room looks brighter.

"Apollo?" I asked.

What is he doing in here.
