The room was pitch black as Jake pulled me inside. I gasped for air as it was thick with dust, and wait, has that wall been knocked down?
"Ebony, quickly." I heard Callan's voice call me from the other side of the knocked-down wall.
I ran towards the giant hole in the wall and looked down to see Callan kneeling beside his father's body on the floor. Tears poured from my eyes as I ran to Carter's side. "Carter?" I touched his handsome cold face with my hand. "Carter, I'm here." He had no response to me or my words. I looked over at Callan, who had closed his eyes. "Callan, are we too late?" I cried out. "No, this isn't right. He has to be alive right?"
"Boss, can you hear me?" Jake said, shaking Carter gently. "You can't go out like this boss man."
"Carter, I'm so sorry." I sobbed, falling onto his chest. "I'm sorry I wasn't here with you. I'm so sorry."
"Now, now, little one. There is no need for tears." A deep voice said from the darkness in front of me. "He might be gone, but I'm still here."
I looked up to see Leon standing in front of me with an amused smile on his face.
"You will pay for this," I yelled through my tears.
He laughed loudly. "Oh please, if lover boy there couldn't stop me, then what makes you think any of you could even come close."
"You killed my father." Callan bellowed at him. "I will make you pay."
"Yeah, yeah. I will pay and suffer and bleed, blah, blah, blah." Leon laughed. "He lost, and I won. Get over it." His yellow eyes sparkled at his words. "And the best news, this story has just begun."
"What did you do to him?" I yelled at him.
"It doesn't matter what I did, my pretty little human. No, all that matters to you right this second is what I'm about to do." Leon smiled wickedly at me. "We have a bright future together human. You are the cherry on top of this perfect little day."
"Touch her, and you will wish you had never been born," Jake growled at him.
"I like you, Jacob. I always have. You're angry and dark, just like me."
"I'm nothing like you." Jake spat at him.
Leon just kept smiling. "I know you think you are different, but that is only because you don't know the truth."
"I know you are pure evil." Jake was suddenly standing up. "I know I'm going to enjoy killing you."
"You are right about one thing, Jacob. I am pure evil, and you are about to learn just how evil I can actually be." Leon stepped towards us.
"You are not going to hurt my family," Callan yelled, stepping in front of me. "Not again."
"Oh, dear nephew, I have no intention of hurting any of you. Where would the fun in that be?" He laughed in the back of his throat with pure joy. "You should know by now that I had no intention of killing any of you. If I did, you would be dead."
"I'd like to see you try," Jake growled, clenching his fists tightly.
"Come now, boys. Don't be like that." Leon took another step forward. "The war is over."
"This war has just begun." Callan lunged at Leon, suddenly causing him to fall against the wall. The two of them fought on the floor as Jake rushed over to help Callan.

"Carter, please come back to me. I don't know what to do?" I put my head on his chest and cried.
"It's no good. He's gone, and he's never coming back from where we sent him." I looked up to see Genevieve standing in front of me with a smile on her face. "No one comes back from that."
"What did you do to him?"
"Something I should have done a long time ago, but don't worry about it. You won't remember a thing about him soon." She laughed loudly as she walked away from me. "Leon, enough of this. We don't have time. It's now or never."
Leon suddenly threw the boys across the room like they were made of paper and stood up. "Where is the witch?" He growled loudly, suddenly looking straight at me.
"What is going on?" I looked over to Jake and Callan, who were both knocked out cold against the wall. Their faces were covered in blood and bruises. "Jake?" I screamed as tears ran down my face. "Callan, please wake up."
Leon let out a loud howl of satisfaction as I ran towards the boys on the floor. "Jake, don't do this to me again. Wake up."
"It amuses me how you always assumed you would win." Leon was walking toward me as he pulled bits of wood and glass from his bleeding chest. "Did it ever occur to you little human that you were on the wrong side? Did you ever consider the fact that maybe I'm not the bad guy?"
I looked up into his yellow eyes. "You will always be the bad guy, Leon. You just can't accept that."
"We'll see about that." He smiled, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards his body. "Are you ready for part two of our story?"
"What are you talking about you sicko?" I struggled against him.
"The witch is ready," Genevieve called behind him, and then I heard a woman chanting in Latin.
"Leon, what are you doing?" I tried to pull myself away from his arm.
"Hold on, my little human. It's going to be a hell of a trip." He smiled at me. "Don't worry. I'll be there to catch you."
The walls around me suddenly started to spin, and lightning struck the ground around us. The witch's chants became louder as the room spun even faster.
"No. Please, let me go," I screamed as Leon's grip on me became even tighter.
"This is how our story should have started," Leon said in my ear. "My brother will enjoy this. I'm assured he has a front-row seat for our next performance." He laughed and threw his head back with joy as everything around me began to spin faster.

PRESENT-DAY
Have you heard the news?" Janet squealed as she sat on the edge of my white desk with a grin on her face.
"No, what news?"
"Well, I heard there is an opening for a PA upstairs." She smiled and clapped her hands with pure excitement. "No one knows about it yet, as I heard it from Tony, who heard it from Janice, who heard it from Sarah, but we all know Sarah is full of absolute bullshit anyway..."
"So how do you know this rumour isn't bullshit?" I sat back in my chair and paused for a moment. "Wait, have we had this conversation before? I feel like we have?"

"Ummm, not unless you spoke to Sarah about it? Did you speak to Sarah about it?"
"No, I don't think so?" I know I've heard this before. "I must have just overheard someone in the lunchroom." I shrugged.
"So anyway, are you going to apply for the job?"
"Who me? Apply for a job upstairs with Mr Morgan? I don't think so." I scoffed at her as I opened my emails. "Are you sure we haven't had this conversation before? I've got major déjà vu if we haven't."
"Yes, I'm sure. Are you okay? You look really pale?" Janet said concerned.
"Umm, yeah, I'm fine." I shook away the sudden feeling of nausea. "Anyway, I'm happy being down here on the tenth floor. I have no interest in going upstairs to meet the mysterious Mr Morgan."
"What if he is the love of your life?" Janet giggled.
"Yeah, okay. I'm sure he will sweep me off my feet and make me believe in true love. Blah, blah, blah." I made a face. "As I said, I'm happy down here with you guys. Besides, Mr Smith needs me."
"That's an understatement." She rolled her eyes at me. "The man cannot function without you hovering at his side."
"He's a good guy and he ..." my desk phone started to ring loudly making me jump. "Good morning, this is Ebony. How can I help you?"
"Boss wants to see you." A loud voice growled through the phone. "You have five minutes to be here." The loud voice said to me through the phone.
"I'm sorry, who is this?"
"I'm your fucken fairy godmother. Get up to the top floor now, the boss wants to talk to you."
"The boss?" I was confused. "What are you talking about?"
I heard a loud sigh. "I'm too old for this shit." The voice grumbled. "Mr Morgan would like to see your highness in his office."
"Mr Morgan? The CEO? Are you sure you have the right person?"
"Do I sound stupid to you? Honestly, I have no idea how you all function at times. Get to the top floor Ebony Summers, and don't make him wait. It will not turn out good for you." He hung up the phone.
"What was that?" Janet said as I put down the phone.
"Apparently, I have to go and see Mr Morgan on the top floor?" My stomach flopped at my words.
"The CEO wants to see you? Oh, my goodness. Shit just got real." She grinned.
"This doesn't make sense, Janet. How does he even know who I am?"
"Maybe he thinks you're cute." She winked.
"Why does something feel very wrong? Like I've been here before?"
"Are you okay? How much did you drink at the club on the weekend?" She giggled. "Nothing is wrong, Ebony. I'm sure he is just meeting the people he wants to interview for his P.A. Stop overanalyzing everything. I told you that you were perfect for the job."
The phone rang again.
"Good morning, this is Ebony.."
"NOW!" The same voice bellowed at me. "Do you need me to come down and get you?"
"You don't have to yell at me. I'm on my way right now."
"I'll be waiting." The phone was hung up again.
"Ebony, are you okay? You look like you have seen a ghost?" Janet said, looking very confused and concerned at me.
"I'm going up to the top floor. Can you please let Mr Smith know that I will be down shortly?" I stood up and pulled down my blue dress.
"Do you want me to walk with you?"
"No, I'll be fine." I put on a fake smile. "I hope."
"This is great Ebony. You are finally getting the promotion you deserve." Janet hugged me tightly. "I'm so proud of you."
"Thanks, but I don't have the job yet."
"You will." She smiled. "I'll see you later for lunch so you can tell me all about him."
I just nodded nervously and walked to the elevator. It opened even before I pushed the button, and they're looking back at me was a tall, blonde, very handsome guy with the biggest blue eyes I had ever seen standing with his arms crossed over his chest and a look of thunder on his face.
"Get in, Summers." He growled as his blue eyes stared at me coldly.
"You're the guy on the phone?"
"Well done. You should have been a detective. Get in." He growled again, rolling his eyes in disgust at me.
"Why are you being so rude to me?"
He narrowed his gaze on me. "This isn't rude."
I swallowed the lump in my throat. "What is this meeting about?"
"Do I look like a damn receptionist? Boss wants to see you, not me. I couldn't care less about you." His blue eyes trailed over my body, making me shiver slightly. "Can we go? Please? I have people to do."
"You mean things to do?" I corrected him.
"I know what I said." He smiled at me, raising his eyebrow sharply. "Now, let's go."
I took a deep breath and stepped into the elevator, turning my back on the handsome stranger. I could feel his eyes burning into my skin as we went up, but neither of us spoke another word.
The doors opened in front of me, and the guy pushed past me and started to walk down a long dark hallway.
"Are you coming?" He called back to me without turning back.
I reluctantly followed him, fighting the urge to run away. He stopped at a door at the end of the hallway.
"Hello, there pretty lady." Another guy said, standing at the door. "You look delicious in blue beautiful. You busy later?"
I felt my stomach churn as he looked at me like he wanted to devour me whole.
"Shut it, Vinnie. She is here for the boss, not your sick twisted pleasure that no one wants to hear about." The blonde guy said, knocking on the door.
"Can I have her after boss man then?" He blew a kiss at me.
"I don't give a fuck what you do with her after boss is finished, but until then, shut it." The blonde guy pushed the man backward towards the wall.
"I'll wait." He laughed as the door opened.
"You." The blonde guy pointed to me. "Follow me." He took a step into the room, but I was too scared to move. "If you choose to stay with Vinnie out there, I'm not helping you when shit gets out of control." He laughed as Vinnie took a step toward me.
"I'll be gentle for the first time, pretty girl." He licked his lips as he jumped towards me.
I ran towards the door and into the room.
"I knew you would cave." The blonde guy laughed. "Sit. Boss will be here soon." He pointed to a chair sitting in front of a black desk.
"Can I just leave? I don't feel very good."
"Don't give a fuck. Sit or you go back to Vinnie." He raised his eyebrows at me.
I did as I was told.
I looked around the darkroom and had the sudden feeling of déjà vu again. Have I been here before? I couldn't have been. No one has ever been up to the top floor before. I must be going crazy?
"Ahhh, Miss Summers." I heard a deep voice behind me. "It's a pleasure to meet you finally. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about you."
I turned to see a tall, handsome man with jet black hair and the most beautiful aqua eyes I had ever seen smiling at me as he walked to his desk and sat down. He was undoubtedly the most attractive man I had ever seen in my life.
"Mr Morgan?" I said, shaking his big hand.
"Please, Ebony, there is no need for formalities here. Call me, Leon." He smiled sweetly.
"Hello Leon," I smiled finally feeling some sense of calmness. "It's nice to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine, Ebony." Leon gave me the warmest smile I had ever seen. "I feel like we have known each other for a very long time."
"Me too." I breathed a sigh of relief as he stared into my eyes. "You seem almost familiar to me."
Leon just nodded his head. "Let's get started, shall we? I feel like our story together has just begun, Ebony Summers." Leon smiled at me as his eyes became the colour of blood. "Are you ready for this? I know my brother is." He laughed wickedly.
