CARTER'S POV
"You are a traitor, killing your kind to protect humans, you should be slaughtered," a vampire yelled at me as it tried to swing its sword at my head. "You are a traitor to your kind." It spat in my face and laughed wickedly as I wiped its goo off my face.
"You are disgusting," I said flicking the goo onto the floor.
"Die human fucker." The creature lunged at me swinging its sword in the air.
"Fuck off," I yelled as I grabbed onto its head and twisted off its shoulders like it was made of foam. "If you want to kill me, you are going to have to do better than that son." His body fell to the ground and I threw his severed head across the field. "Don't waste my time talking to me. I hate small talk, even on a battlefield." I've never been very good at small talk unless I'm taking their money, then I'll chat for hours.
"Human fucker," another yelled at me. I turned to see him smirking at me with blood dripping from his mouth. "You disgust me," the creature sneered at me.
"I disgust you? Have you seen yourself?" I laughed as I broke his neck and slit his throat. Please, I disgust him? What a joke.
"Die, traitor." Another creature yelled as it charged at me with a stake in its hand. I swung my fist straight through his chest cavity and ripped its dead heart right through his back. "I'm the bloody traitor? Are you serious?" I yelled in its face as it dropped to the floor. "What is wrong with these creatures? Woah!" I ducked out of the way as a huge tree trunk was being swung at my face by a creature. I dived at the creature's legs and forced it to the ground. I quickly jumped up, grabbed the trunk from its grasp and shoved the bottom of it through the creature's face-smashing it completely. "Asshole."
"Boss," Jake called as he beat a vampire with its broken-off arm. "Leon is here. He's at the portal." Jake continued to beat the creature with the broken arm. "Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself. Never gets old," he laughed as the body of his victim fell to the floor.
"Let's get this over with then," I called and ran through the field of bodies and blood that lay before me. As much as I loved blood and gore, I hated the sight of the bodies everywhere. It was just so untidy and messy. A vampire landed with a splat in front of me and exploded with the force of the ground right where I was about to step. "Oh great, now I have brain on my damn shoe. See, this is why I hate the mess." I shook the mess off my shoe."Are you sure Ebony made it to the castle?" I yelled as Jake ran to my side.

"I saw her run towards the doors boss. She must be inside," he nodded.
"Good," as much as her stubbornness pissed me off before, the thought of her being out here made me feel physically sick. I understand that she wants to fight, but without her, I have nothing to fight for in this world. I wish she could see that. I'm doing all this for her, her future, and our future. She's just so damn stubborn all the time, damn human side.
"You ready for this?" Jake said calmly.
"No, I'll never be ready for this. I'll never be ready to kill my brother, but if I don't, I'll lose everything. He must die for my family's safety. Her safely. He should never have threatened me in this way." I looked around at the devastation that lay before us. Evil devastation that happened, because of my brother and his hatred towards me. I am the reason for all this death and it's going to end tonight.
"This is the right thing boss, whatever happens here tonight. I owe you everything, and I'll always have your back. It's an honour to fight at your side, boss," Jake said, keeping his eyes forward on the black portal in front of us.
"You are a true brother Jacob, and the honour is all mine. We fight for our family," I said, putting my hand on his shoulder.
"Family," he repeated, looking over at me.
"Oh, and once again, I apologise for throwing you out of the window before. I shouldn't have enjoyed that as much as I did." I smiled at him. "She just got to me."
"It's cool," he shrugged. "Wasn't the first time, won't be the last," he smiled. "Sorry for staking you that one time and running over you with the truck, oh and blowing you up that time in the hotel and hitting you in the head with that shovel ...."
"We need to stop killing each other. I'm getting too old for this shit," I smiled and shook my head.
"Nah, that's what families do, right? We fight, try to kill each other and then we're all good,"
"Right," I smiled. "That's what families do."
"Boss, I'm here. Sorry, I had a wolf that was a biter. I had the toughest time pulling its teeth out. He was a screamer," Vinnie said, flicking a tooth off his blood-soaked black jacket.
"You always have to go above and beyond with the torture, don't you, Vinnie?" I said, shaking my head.
"Love my job, boss." Vinnie gave a wicked laugh that made my skin crawl.

"Don't you mean, you love the boss's pus ....."
"Enough, thank you," I said calmly hitting Jacob over the head. "That is the last thing I wish to picture right now," I shuddered.
"Hey, she came onto me. Ladies always give in to Vinnie," he winked.
"I think you mean they give in unwilling," Jake chuckled.
"Same diff," Vinnie shrugged. "She just loves a big tough man." Vinnie flexed his muscles.
"Boys, are you ready?" I said, changing the subject and clipping Vinnie across the back of the head so hard, that he stumbled forward.
"Born ready," Jake cheered.
"Bring it on," Vinnie yelled, rubbing his neck.
"Well then, let's kill my brother shall we and go home," I said, charging towards the portal.

EBONY'S POV
I wiped the blood from my mouth and stared at the many bodies now lying at my feet. I have never killed anything before in my entire life, yet it feels very familiar to me, almost like I have done this before? I watched as the blood poured out from the open wounds on their torsos, did I do that damage? And why does it feel so damn good to kill? I want to do it again. I turned back to the castle door and glared. I know you're watching me, and when I find you, bitch, you're dead. I'm going to rip her damn body apart.
"Hello, pretty girl." a voice slurred behind me. I turned to see a vampire walking toward me, licking his lips as he smiled at me.
"Just what I was looking for," I grinned.
"You look lonely," he said, grabbing my arm and holding it tightly. "I'm going to enjoy this," he said, wrapping his hand around my throat and twisting my neck.
"I'm already enjoying this," I said as I ripped off his arm that was gripping my throat and kicked a hole clear through his stomach. "See, I really enjoyed that"
"What the fuck are you?" He groaned, falling to his knees and then to the ground.
"I'm really pissed off that my boyfriend thinks I'm useless. I just kicked your ass, and he didn't even see it, typical." The creature fell to the ground just like the others.
"Ebony," I turned to see Henry standing on the field in front of me. He was covered in black and red blood and had a nasty cut on his arm.
"Henry, you are hurt" I ran to him and wrapped some cloth off the ground around his wound.
"How did you do that?" He said slowly not taking his eyes off me.
"Oh, I just remembered my first aid class from high school," I said, trying the cloth.
"No, I mean, how did you just kill that vampire with one kick? What are you?" I looked up to see his big wide blue eyes staring at me like I was a stranger.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I took a step back as his eyes were making me feel nervous all of a sudden.
"Ebony, you.." he stopped talking and stared at me.
"What?" I yelled in frustration.
"You have the eyes of a wolf," he said slowly. "Why do you have the eyes of a wolf?"
"What are you talking about? I'm a vampire, not a wolf. Henry, please don't look at me like that."
"Ebony, did you know your parents?"
"No, I was told I was abandoned. I was raised in foster care. Why?"
"I think you may have a past that is catching up with you right now," Henry said, still staring at me with wide eyes.
"Oh god, are you saying that I might be part wolf?"
"I'm saying that you definitely are part wolf, but it's not Carter's half. It might explain why you are both so attracted to each other? You are his mate, as in his actual wolf mate, and yet you had no idea. This is amazing," he smiled. "I always thought he had some kind of control over you, but now I see, it's because of your connection, you two are drawn to each other, you are now both hybrid species. The stories were true."
"I'm a wolf? How do I not know this?" I looked at my hands and arms for hair or something wolfie.
"I have no idea, but we're going to find out my friend," he said, staring at me. "This explains why you're so damn stubborn and why I'm so attracted to you. I've always had a thing for wolves. I should have seen it earlier."
"You are sick, and you know that," I said, shaking my head.
"We must find Carter and tell him. You could help him end all this. Quickly, we must find him," he ran towards the portal.
"What? Henry, wait. I still don't understand any of this. Henry, wait up." I ran towards the portal behind Henry.
