《Bound By Blood》Bound By Blood: 34. Hellhole

It's really humid in the morning. It is the end of March but I didn't think it'd start to be really hot now. I got up and got ready for school. I didn't think and I didn't grab my backpack from my house before I left so thank goodness I found a notebook in my room. I'll just use this for today because honestly, I don't care about school anymore. I missed so much.
I put on a tank top and I pair of light washed jeans. I put on my everyday converse and I head out the door with buttered toast in my hand. I start to walk there and this house is much closer to the school. Very close, about four blocks away. I look at the time on my cell phone and I see that I am five minutes late for first period. I roll my eyes and I pick up my pace, finally making it to the Hellhole.
The securities in our school let me in and give me a late pass so I don't get in trouble. I go to my locker and I see all my notebooks and binders in there. I sigh in relief and I take out my binder. Some students walking pass me look at me with wide eyes, shocked that I'm here.
I start to walk down the hall and I walk in my first period class. Mrs. Watson stops teaching and everyone snaps their heads to me. I go up to her and I hand her my pass.
"Welcome back, Diana." She says with a nod and I sit in the back, realizing that someone took my everyday seat that was in the front. While she was talking about a book my class and I had to read for school for the past three months, I just closed my eyes and tried to stop thinking about the people staring at me. By the time I knew it, the bell rang.
The rest of the day was damn slow, except one part where I walked passed Madison's locker. Custodians were cleaning it because there was RIP cards tapped on it and roses. But then I realize that kids wrote over it and said 'you deserved to die, human', 'vampires rule' and so on. Tears form in my eyes and I look away, passing it and heading to the cafeteria. My appetite didn't come so I sat by myself at the end of a table while students around me were laughing and gossiping. I was doodling in my binder until one conversation caught my attention.

"Did you see him! I'm so happy he is my teacher."
"I know he is so hot, like why is every vampire hot!"
"Yeah, I wouldn't care if he wanted a taste of me." I keep my head low but that comment made my face cringe in disgust.
"Mr. Walsh, such a hot name. It just rolls on my tongue so good." They all laugh and I pop my head up. Mr. Walsh? Did I hear them right or no? I get up from sitting down and I walk to where they were sitting, at the table in front of me.
"What room is Mr. Walsh's? My schedule got changed and I want to ask him if we had any homework." I ask them and they look at me suspiciously before one of them responded.
"Yeah, he is upstairs in room 214."
"Oh okay, thanks and did he just come here?" I ask one more question and she nods to me with a smile.
"He came here last week." I walk away and I pass a group of vampires who called me a blood whore while laughing until I flipped them off.
I finally reach room 214 and the door is wide open. I hear voices and I'm hoping he is teaching a class. I slowly peak in and is it the devil himself. He is standing next to his desk with a boy in my grade, talking about work. He is irritating me while they are both looking down at a worksheet the boy, Sean is holding.
"So just do only these two questions for homework and if anything come after school so I can help you with them." Mr. Walsh says to him and Sean nods.
"Okay, thanks Mr. Walsh." Mr. Walsh flicks his gaze up towards me and I knew that second he knew I was watching them. A smile takes over his face and he stares at me while Sean heads to the door.
"Welcome back, Diana." Sean whispers to me while passing and I give him a reassuring smile, telling him thanks. He quickly walks down the hallway and Mr. Walsh sits on his desk, facing me who is at the door.
"Come in, Diana, I won't bite." His husky voice says and he looks very good-looking just sitting there. His hair is gelled to the side with his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
"I don't really want to come in because I don't want to get my head smashed against a desk again." I say nicely and sarcastically to him while leaning against the doorway. He smirks and winks at me.

"Well, I don't want to get fired again so just come in, you must have came to my room to talk to me so why not do it?" I try not to be a scary cat so I walk in, getting closer to him.
"Now that you said that you got fired, I just wondered why you left the Royal school. What happen? They fired you because you were such a low class for them that it was an embarrassment?" I ask him while tilting my head to the side.
"Haha, very funny. The King and Queen decided to complain about how I hurt you so that's why I got fired. So I said, why not just work at this school and start fresh?"
"And at the school I go to."
"Hey, I didn't know you'd come back? What happen? Xavier now is aging as a human and got mad? Too bad the Prophecy didn't work."
"I really don't care anymore." I say to him and he jumps off from sitting on his desk, standing right in front of me.
"Oh bummer, so you won't care if I kill him? Or you?" I pry my eyes from him and the smirk is still holding on his lips. "How was it finding Madison's dead body?" I look up at him and my heart starts to race.
"You killed her?" My voice shakes and he shrugs, walking behind his desk and sitting down on his chair. He leans back and rests his feet on his desk, on top of his paperwork.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Maybe it was my assistant." He says softly to me and I open my mouth to argue. His assistant? Dylan? I'm choking on my words and I can't talk. "But, if you say anything to anyone, I will hurt the people around you. Starting with your parents and your unborn sibling." The evil in his eyes is so dark and scary I just nod to him. I can't say anything and it's killing me inside. What does this bastard want from me? A lump forms in my throat and I can't swallow it. A smile goes back on his face and I just stare at him until someone cuts me out of the trance.
"Diana! I've been looking for you!" A warm hand touches my arm and I turn to my left, seeing a friend of mine named Jill. Her perfect white teeth are smiling at me and her bright green eyes full with excitement. I give her a half smile while she turns to Mr. Walsh. "Hi Mr. Walsh, can I take her from you?"
"Yes you may. We already spoke about the homework problem she had." He glances at me and I glare back. "Didn't we Diana?" I swallow and nod to him until Jill grabs me and drags me out of his room.
"I missed you! People were talking about how you are back and I've been looking for you!" She gives me a hug and I hug her back.
"Yeah, it's so weird being back." I add, trying not to think about Mr. Walsh.
"The humans were so worried because you were terribly sick! For about two months Diana!"" I go along with it because if that's what they thought why I was out, then let that story still play. "Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to help me out next week with a group of students to decorate the gym from our school prom."
"Prom?" I ask her and she nods to me. "Why so early?"
"Because you know, Madison died recently and some kids are still mourning about her death so the school thought it'd be best if we had prom early to kind of get the happy spirit back."
"Oh so it's next week?"
"Yeah, Friday. I just knew since we were younger how we wanted prom to be amazing so I was thinking if you wanted to help out." After everything that has happen, I don't want to go to be honest.
"I don't think I'm gonna go. What's the theme this year?"
"Well this year was the vampires in our school's decision and they chose Night." I roll my eyes.
"Wow, so different and unique." I say sarcastically and Jill laughs.
"I know right?"
"Listen, I'll let you know soon. I have to check if I have anything to do that Friday." The bell rings and the classes around us start to spill out students. "I have to go class now but I'll let you know, thanks." I say to her and she smiles wide while waving bye and going the other way. I sigh as I head to my next class.
