A screeching voice is ringing in my ears and I suddenly realize that it's me screaming. Screaming and crying down the hall while Juliet is still dragging me away from the death scene. When Florence just killed herself right in front of me.

"Diana, we need to walk a little bit faster because you do know we are in a mansion full of vampires... which they can smell the blood on you." She mumbles to me with nervousness in her voice as I finally stop crying. We reach my bedroom and she locks the door shut. "Where the hell is Xavier?" She asks herself but I hear her clearly.

"She just killed herself!" I'm looking down at my bare chest with dried blood and when I touch my face, a feel wetness of the same thick liquid on me. Florence's blood is all over me.

"I know, I was with you." Juliet replies a little annoyed from me and tears spill down my cheeks.

"Why?" I ask her, walking in the middle of the room while Juliet follows. "No, get away from me."

"It's better if we talk except me leaving you alone."

"I can't do this Prophecy." I exclaim to her and she sighs.

"Yes you can."

"Juliet, leave me alone." My voice darkens and her eyes become low with alertness. Without another word she just spins around and walks off, shutting the door quietly. I run my hand through my wet hair from earlier, walking to the bathroom and looking at myself in the mirror. I gasp at all the specks of blood on me as I grab a towel and I put it under the faucet, rinsing it with water. I slowly rub the towel on my chest, cleaning the blood and splashing water on my face. After cleaning up I shut the bathroom lights but when I walk out, I smash onto something hard.

"Watch where you're going." A low voice rings in my ears and when I look up, it's Xavier.

"What do you want?" I snap to him and he looks up and down at me, realizing that I cleaned the blood up, except the stains on the tank top. I see him twitch his nose quickly like he just smelled something bad than looks into my eyes.

"You are so rude." He says, looking away from me than walking closer to the door.

"I just kicked your sister out and earlier a poor lady just killed herself with magic in front of me. Don't you think I need to be alone?" I yell at him, my voice shaking because I want to cry. He turns back around to look at me and his eyes look like they darkened.

"And I just came to see if you are okay."

"Did your parents tell you to see if I was okay? Because of the fucking Prophecy?" His eyes widen a bit from me cussing and cussing like that never really comes out of my mouth. I'm just so angry, why me? Why am I suppose to be with the vampire in front of me to stop wars from both kinds? Why me!

"You are a real selfish human. So frail, you're lucky you aren't dead yet." Xavier spits to me and I see that he has clenched his fist at his sides.

"Then try you monster. Try and hit me!" I scream in rage, walking up to him and pushing him. He doesn't nudge one bit as I start to hit him against his chest. "This Prophecy is not going to work! It's fake!"

"Do you think I don't know that! I have known about this longer than you! For hundreds of years and I wouldn't stop thinking about it everyday I wake up." I finally stop and he looks like he can break anything now.

Especially me.

"I don't believe this shit, but the rest of my family does. And don't even think I will ever fall in love with a human, principally you." I don't think and the next thing that happens is my hand connecting with his face. And no I didn't slap him like every other girl in movies would do. My hand rolled into a fist and my knuckles met with his cheek bone. It didn't do much except his head snapping sideways and my hand throbbing in so much pain. I grit my teeth together so I don't show pain and his face is written with shock because he didn't think I'd do such a thing like that.

His head slowly turns back to me and his eyes dilate so much like the first time I saw him, black with a thin rim of blue. Remorse courses through my veins and I go to touch him and apologize but he grabs my wrist with fast speed. "Don't you ever hit me again." He squeezes my wrist and I wince in pain, closing my eyes. "This is my last warning, Diana." When he says my name, it's in so much power, so much hatred. Now I just made Xavier my enemy in this house. It's the worst thing to do, even though we just met yesterday. He tugs my wrist down at my side and glides away to the door. I watch him leave, tears streaming down my face.

"Diana, please let me in. I heard what happen with Xavier." I hear Juliet's voice echo through the door. I'm laying in bed but I can't sleep. I turn my head to the side and I see that it's only 1:56 in the morning. I look back up to the ceiling while I try not to move that much.

"Leave her alone." I hear Alexander say and Juliet whines.

"No! She a girl, I'm a girl. Girls need someone to talk to someone, Diana needs me. A lot is happening to her now." A light knock snaps my head to the door. "Diana I know you aren't sleeping, I can hear your heart and it's not slow and steady. It's beating wildly and scared." She finally admits and I bite my bottom lip. I lose in defeat as I roll out of bed, walking to the door and unlocking it. I take a step back and I watch the knob twist and Juliet's head peak in. "Oh good, you're still alive." She jokes and walks in, Alexander following from behind. She flicks on the light switch because it was dark and when the light beams on, I close my eyes, groaning from the brightness.

"Juliet, didn't you forget that humans have sensitive eyes?" Alexander chuckles and she turns to me, her mouth shaped as an O.

"I'm so sorry, I forgot." She giggles while I walk back to the bed. They shut the door and follow, Juliet sitting on the edge and Alexander plopping on the couch.

"Don't you guys have sensitive eyesight?" I ask and she purses her lips into a thin line.

"Yeah but we're used to some things, like flicking on the lights." Juliet laughs and when she sees that I'm just staring at her, she frowns. "Wanna talk about it?" She adds and I take a deep breath, looking down and playing with the blanket over me.

"There's nothing to talk about. I'm here against my will for something to save both kinds and my intentions is going home."

"This is your home." Alexander says and I look up to him. He shrugs to me like he has nothing else to say.

"Alex, that is not helping." Juliet snaps to him and he opens his mouth to argue but then he closes it, just letting out a sigh.

"No, I want to see my parents again. I want to know what they are thinking right now."

"Nothing." Juliet says to me and my eyes become wet from tears.

"What do you mean?"

"We kind of made Florence use her witch powers to make them agree about this. No human would let any of their children to go to the Royal Vampire mansion without a fight if they were chosen for the Prophecy. After you were taken and your parents came home from work, they'd know where you are."

"So people know about this? Why don't I know anything about the Prophecy." I ask and Juliet nods her head no.

"No one really knows about it, they think it's an old folktale or a myth."

"How about if it is?" I snap my head to Alexander who is just watching us talk.

"It's not." He replies back and I close my eyes, sighing.

"Anyways, I heard that you punched Xavier." Juliet brings up to me and I glare into her sour green eyes.

"Yeah, I didn't really mean to, I kind of just went over the top. He insulted me about being human and I just lost it." I admit and Juliet nods to me. "Why are you guys being nice to me? Vampires hate humans." I add and she shrugs her shoulders.

"We want peace, we hate watching both kinds die everyday. We live in a messed up world. It doesn't matter whether you guys are our prime food. As I know, I know some people who want to be treated the same, such as humans. But some vampires hate humans and kill them for games." Alexander speaks for her and I nod in understanding at his words.

"So, do you feel a little better?" Juliet asks me with a wide smile and I let out a laugh.

"Thanks guys, it's funny that I'm telling you two my feelings even though we just met. I hope that Xavier doesn't kill me." I reveal about what I have been thinking this whole time and Alexander gets up from chilling on the couch. He stretches while coming closer to us and Juliet lays her cold hand on top of mine.

"He's not going to kill you, Diana. If he would, he would have done it earlier, before you punched him. He says that he doesn't believe in the Prophecy," She pauses, leaning closer to me. "But being his baby sister and growing up with him for years, I know his other side. He has small hope of believing things. You two will get over yourselves." I nod, and she pulls away from me, getting up and standing next to Alexander. "Now, go to bed, erase what happen and dream for a bit." I grin at them and Alexander bows his head for a goodbye and Juliet just waves at me. Eventually, she shuts the light and I'm alone in the darkness again.
