《Bound By Blood》Bound By Blood: 3. The Other Brother

I'm staring into those dark blue eyes, the vampire who is banging against the door. Where the hell is Mr. Cervini! The vampire that Dylan says his name is Alexander, he's the Vampire King and Queen's son? I don't even know, I don't keep up with the vampire things. Because I don't care. But why is he here? At this school. In front of me? His eyes give me a pleading look and he pauses from trying to open it.
"Let me in." His foggy voice demands through the door. I turn my head to Dylan and he shrugs to me. "Vampire-" My gaze turns back to the door and his eyes turn to Dylan. "Open the door."
"No, what are you doing?" I ask Dylan when he gets up, walking towards the door.
"I have to obey to the Royal family." He says to me and right when he was at the door, Alexander vanishes from our view and another figure appears at the door. Mr. Cervini meets his eyes with Dylan and he purses his lips into a thin line. Dylan takes a step back and Mr. Cervini unlocks the door, letting himself in.
"And what were you doing?" He barks to him and Dylan tries to talk but he stutters.
"The Vampire Prince, Alexander was just at the door." I help Dylan out and he nods as Mr. Cervini lets out a laugh.
"You all must be out of your minds. I was just at the door no one was here and the Royal family isn't allowed on school grounds." He takes a step closer to Dylan while Dylan takes a step back. "Now, sit down, you broke my rules."
"No, you actually said, no talking or phones." I spill out and his fierce hazel eyes turn to me.
"Good job Diana, you just gained yourself and Mr. Dylan here three more hours of detention." My mouth gaps open and Dylan groans, plopping down on his seat.
"But it's going to be night. I have to walk home, I can get hurt."
"Not my intentions." The jackass responds back while walking to his desk. I mouth 'sorry' to Dylan and he waves his hand towards me like it wasn't my fault. I lay my head against my arm that's laying on my desk and darkness takes over me.
Someone is tapping my shoulder and I let out a groan. I open my eyes as I rub them with my fingers and I lift my head up. Dylan is looking down at me with a grin and I realize that it's night out and it's only us.
"Where's Cervini?" I yawn while getting up and grabbing my backpack.
"He left, trusted me that I'd wake you up." I grin back while we both walk out of the classroom and down the stairs. We both go out of the doors and I start heading my own way, digging my head in the collar of my baggy sweatshirt I'm wearing.

"Wait, Diana." Dylan shouts to me as I turn around. He jogs to me, stopping across from me. "Listen, about yesterday in the car and Gabriel almost attacking you, that wasn't necessary. You're actually pretty cool." He laughs, his white teeth shining in the darkness and for once, he doesn't show his fangs as a threat or... at all.
"Apology accepted." I awkwardly smile while he turns to see his car in the parking lot.
"Yeah, anyways, do you need a ride home?" Dylan shyly replies back and I nod my head. I may have accepted his apology but I still don't trust him.
"No, it's fine. I'll survive."
"Okay cool. Um, I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, bye." He turns his heels and heads to his car. I watch him get in and drive off which leaves me by myself.
I take a different way, much quieter from yesterday. I didn't want to take the same path where I chucked the blood bag at Dylan's car. I still gag about grabbing the bag and thinking about it. I try to shake out the thought of getting attacked and I think out something else. Like how it's cold as hell and I know that I'm going to freeze. I finally reach home as I unlock the door and I walk to the kitchen.
My parents aren't home yet so I toss my backpack on the floor and I take the chicken out from last night. I run to the bathroom to do my business than I hear something smash upstairs. I pause from walking and I slowly creep up the stairs. I turn my gaze to my bedroom and I see that the window is open again. I sigh relieved and I walk in to shut it. I do a double take at my desk when I see that the letter from last night is un-crumbled and laid open, the words repeating itself in my head.
I sprint down the stairs as I go into the kitchen and I look for my backpack. My cell phone is in my backpack but I don't know where it is. I don't know where the hell my backpack is. I put it down earlier!
"Looking for this?" I cock my head to the living room and a tall dark figure is standing there holding my backpack. He takes a step into the light that is flaring from the kitchen and my body starts to shake.
"You're Alexander." My voice shakes and his blue eyes flicker to me.
"That's right."
"How did you get in?" I ask him and a smile creeps on his face. Honestly, his blue eyes go with the dirty blonde hair he has. He's slim with broad shoulders but I can't see if he has muscles because he's wearing a pea coat with black jeans.
"I have my ways." He says to me and without another respond I run towards the door. What does he want? I open the front door but it slams shut by a firm hand that's leaning against it. "I'm not going to hurt you Diana. I just need you to listen to me."

"Get away from me!" I scream, elbowing him away and running out the door and sprinting down the driveway. I turn around to see where he is but a pair of hands grab my upper arms. I turn my head to the body that I collided into and I yelp out.
"You shouldn't hurt him like that." He spits out to me and he brings his head down to my neck while I close my eyes. I scream when I feel his hot breath and fangs scrape my flesh. At this point, I want to shit my pants. I have never had vampire fangs touch my skin... ever.
"Xavier!" Alexander yells, running to him with vampire speed and pushing him away from me before his fangs broke my skin. The force was powerful and I lose my balance, ready to fall but Alexander grabs my arm tightly to steady me. "Get the car now." He demands and the other vampire, Xavier stares at him dumbfounded.
Alexander is attractive but Xavier, wow. He is stunning. He has blue eyes too but they were much brighter and his pupils were dilated, making the blue a thin rim around the black. He didn't have dirty blonde hair like Alexander's but it was brown blackish. He was a little shorter but about 6'0 and his features on his face was so smooth. His jawline was sharp and the black jacket he was wearing made his pale skin pop.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, now go. Mother and father doesn't want you to kill her."
"Whatever." He vanishes with vampire speed and suddenly, down the road I hear a car roar to life.
"What do you want?"
"You need to come with us."
"What, no! That's kidnapping." I take a step back but Alexander sighs, walking up to me. He grabs my upper arms and tugs me forward when Xavier drives up a black car to us. "Get off of me you freak!" I protest, squirming out of his grip. Xavier comes back out of the car and walks up to us. He lets out a low laugh as I rip my arm out of Alexander's grip.
"Us, freaks?" Xavier says taking a step closer to me.
"Xavier stop." Alexander demands but he doesn't listen. When I back away from him, his bright blue eyes piercing in mine I hit the car.
"No, she shouldn't talk to us like that." We are so close to touching his hand leaning against the car next to my head. "You should watch what you're saying or that little tongue of yours will be hung up in my room as a souvenir." My heart races as he looks down at me with a creepy smile. He isn't that tall because for a seventeen year old, I'm 5'9 so we're close.
"Bloodsucker." I mumble as he quickly grabs my arm and pulls me away from the car.
"Don't be rough with her."
"Like I care if she dies."
"You should because you are part of the Prophecy with her."
"What is happening!" I scream as Xavier groans annoyed.
"You're so loud."
"Shut up." I growl and he opens the door, pushing me in the backseat. The door slams shut and before I can open it, they both are in the car too, Alexander locking all the doors. He's in the drivers seat while Xavier is in the passenger. He drives off as we pass my house and I wince. I unlock the door but right when I want to open it, Xavier is faster than me and locks it. We have a fight back and forth with locking and unlocking but I lose in defeat. I sigh, leaning back in the seats and crossing my arms over my chest.
"So, where are we going."
"Somewhere." Xavier spits and Alexander tells him to be quiet.
"To our home."
"Why."
"Because you are the human that's chosen for the Prophecy."
"What Prophecy!" I scream and it runs silent.
"We'll explain later."
"Yeah but now, shut the hell up, you're so annoying." Xavier adds and I narrow my eyes to you.
"You two kidnapped me! Who are you suppose to be?" I say to him and he turns around, his blue eyes bright in the dark.
"Alexander's brother." My mouth drops as I let out a huff. Is he really brothers with him? So he's a Prince too, just like Alexander? How many children does the King and Queen have?
"How are you two brothers! You are so mean."
"And?" Xavier asks me and Alexander tells him to knock it off.
"The asshole out of you two." I add and suddenly, I'm laying across the backseats and Xavier is on top of me, his hand tightly wrapped around my neck. I dig my nails in his hand, gasping for air. Alexander is driving but at the same time tugging on Xavier's shirt so he can calm down. He squeezes and I'm sure something popped in my neck as I scream in pain. Tears drag down my cheeks as I beg for him to stop.
"Say sorry." He growls to me and I try to talk but I can't.
"S.. so-sorry!" I choke as his grasp loosens.
"Xavier, let go of her or you'll kill her!" He clenches his jawline then loosens it, lifting my head up and slamming it hard back down. That's when I black out.
