I groaned slightly as the bright light washed over my eyes, disturbing my sleep. I brought my hand up and covered my eyes, blocking the light.

Good morning Eliana, I heard Kara speak softly.

I moaned as an answer to her, not really wanting to wake up yet, and she chuckled slightly.

Glad you're okay, she said and I sensed the sadness in her voice. Kara's voice was usually laced with power, confidence, and authority. That tone was different.

Why? What happened? I thought as I stirred and moved around the soft mattress that I was sleeping on, the light still disturbing my peace.

You... You had an awful... um, incident, she carefully said and I furrowed my eyebrows thinking about what she was talking about. In a second, the horrible memories came flowing through my mind.

My eyes snapped open and I let out a pained gasp as my heart clenched and ached inside my chest. I stood up into a sitting position and everything around me became blurry because of the tears that had already formed in my eyelids. The fresh hot tears streamed down my face, brushing over my cheeks and falling on my lap.

Eli, shh, everything's fine, you're safe! It's over.

The memories came crashing down on me, the fear choking me as I tried to breathe. I hugged my body tightly, hiding my chest from the world as I felt their hands on my skin, burning me.

"What- Whe- Where am I?" The panic that consumed me in seconds left me breathless and made my heart go crazy, while I looked around the bright room. My eyes scanned the room quickly looking for an exit.

Hey, Hey, you're safe here! No need to run!

I didn't realize that I was making so much noise while I cried and trembled on the bed before the wooden door burst open. A tall man with long white drapes and long hair, white as the snow, came through the door. His face looked worried and surprised as he looked at me, his bright icy blue eyes as wide as saucers. He was frozen for a second on the doorstep as he looked at me, his eyebrows pinched together.

I was ready to scream for help and hide underneath the bed but he immediately backed away and shut the door as quickly as he opened it.

What? Who was that?, I thought as I stood there, frozen in my place with my mouth agape.

I... I can't believe it... It's him!, Kara said completely shocked.

Who? Who is him?

"Dante! She's awake!" I heard a faint voice from outside and the name rung a few times in my mind.

Dante?

I was so confused as to what was happening that I didn't even realize that I had stopped crying. My breath was stuck in my throat and my sobs had calmed down as I looked expectantly at the door, confused and a little scared.

The door opened again, but quietly and slowly this time. I backed away on the bed and brought the white sheet up to my nose, covering my entire body. What is happening?

An even taller man came into the room, slowly stepping inside. What caught my attention first was his fiery red hair, which flowed gracefully down to his shoulders. His ginger hair was shining as if the light of the sun had been trapped inside it. He had much harsher characteristics on his face than the white-haired guy who previously entered the room. He had bright yellow eyes, which reminded me of honey, shining brightly as he looked over at me.

The structure of his face was quite symmetrical, close to perfection, and his pale, milky-white skin was framed beautifully by the color of his hair. Perfect, thin lips smiled softly and caringly at me as the man closed the door behind him, but not entirely, leaving a small crack.

My curiosity got the best of me and I let my eyes go lower, examining his clothes and body. He was wearing an almost see-through white linen shirt with a low V-neck showing his porcelain skin and the muscles hiding underneath. Simple white linen pants were hanging from his lower abdomen.

His physical appearance screamed power and authority, but his eyes and smile were the kindest that I have ever seen.

"Hello, Eliana" His voice sounded and rang in my mind. Rough yet sweet. Harsh yet soft.

I blinked a few times as I looked at him, his voice sounding very familiar. Yet I have never seen this man before in my life.

"Who..." I stopped and gulped as he took a step closer to me." Who are you?" I asked cautiously. I could feel my fear and my anxiety kicking in, but somehow they stayed in place once he entered the room.

"Don't you remember me? I'm Dante" His sweet voice played like a melody as he talked in such a soft and reassuring manner. Dante. The man who came when I was alone in that alley, after the...incident. The man who was supposedly... like me? Whatever that meant.

Dante was looking at me expectantly and he had stopped walking, sensing my fear. He was asking for permission before he approached me. The memories of how calm I felt when our hands touched, I slowly nodded at him, never taking my eyes off of his.

He smiled warmly and with careful steps, he walked over towards the left side of the bed. He pointed to the spot beside my legs, asking me for permission again. I scouted over and made space for him on the small bed, never lowering the sheet from my face.

He sat down on the bed, straightening his tall legs in front of him and struggling with his pants a little. I found myself captivated by everything this man did; how he smiled, how he breathed, how he adjusted his pants that seemed too small for him. He had something so different yet so familiar and I seemed to forget about everything while I looked at him.

"It doesn't matter if you don't remember me. How ar-" He didn't get to finish his question because I interrupted him, feeling like I had to say something.

"I remember you. Dante." I said quickly, trying out his name while looking at him, unable to take my eyes off of him. "You... came, when no one else did" I added, my voice turning sad and bitter in the span of a second as my mind drifted off to my mate.

Eli, I have to tell you so-

Not now, Kara.

Dante smiled at me and leaned his head to the side, still looking at me. His aura screamed affection and I wanted to absorb every ounce of it. I needed as much as I could get because I knew that I wouldn't receive it from anyone else.

"How are you, Eliana?"Dante asked with his soft voice.

"I'm not okay," I said and my voice cracked, but I quickly composed myself. "But I have questions. Many questions, that I hope you will answer for me" I added, trying to keep it together.

"I will in due time. Your mind is a mess and you're not completely healed yet. I have to check your wounds...so I have to touch you. I hope you trust me enough by now, to let me heal you" He said, the calming effect of his voice clearly affecting me.

I remembered what he said about auras, and what I had actually achieved back in the alley. I carefully uncovered my hand from the sheet and reached for Dante's hand. He understood what was happening so he offered his open palm to me with slow, gracious moves.

Our palms closed and I felt the rush going through my veins. I gasped and gripped his hand tighter as his feelings coursed through my mind.

Honesty and calmness were the clearest ones. Then came worry and excitement, empathy, and happiness. And a whole lot of curiosity. Pure feelings, again.

"How... How can I do that? Feel what you feel?"I asked and looked up at his face, not letting go of his warm hand.

"So adamant" He chuckled, shaking his head, and then smiled warmly at me."Because that's what we do. Well, one of the things we can do actually." He explained and he seemed like he had other priorities rather than explaining things to me. So I nodded softly and after double-checking that I wasn't naked, I lowered the white sheet from my face, letting it fall on my lap.

He let go of my hand, raised both of his arms, brought his fingers to my head, and softly turned it to the side.

"Why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself." He said and I sensed his curiosity flaming up in the span of a second. I lowered my gaze and let him check my wounds, which surprisingly didn't hurt at all.

"Well, nothing special about me..." I trailed off, refusing to admit that I was the Devil's mate. This creature in front of me was far too calm and pure, for me to disturb its thoughts. He approached me with honesty, empathy, and a warm feeling of trust and adoration. And I wasn't going to ruin this.

"Hmm...You're more special than you think, Eliana. So please, tell me whatever comes to mind." He said, his tone warm and friendly as he reached for the nightstand on the other side of the bed. His chest brushed over my covered knees and tingles burst all around my body. But it wasn't the erotic type. It felt different.

"So umm... My name is Eliana... Um, I'm almost 20 years ol-" I started but when he turned to me, his fiery red hair flipping in the air and when his yellow eyes found mine, I stopped talking and breathing.

"Twenty?!"He asked in disbelief and I nodded slowly, weirdly looking at him. Do I look older or something? "I expected you to be young, but not that young! You're just a baby!" He exclaimed surprised and then grinned at me. I frowned at him and went to protest but he didn't let me. "In my years at least... I'm almost 8 centuries old so you are just a newborn to me"

My eyes widened as I scanned him one more time from head to toe, looking for any signs of old age.

Lucifer is more than that...

Shut it, Kara!

Hey, don't be-

I blocked my thoughts and focused on the beautiful man in front of me.

"So, you're like... immortal or something?" I asked him as he opened a small glass bottle in his hands that looked like it was filled with water. He took a squeezer and sucked a small portion of the liquid.

"I'm immortal yes. I can be killed but I can't die on my own. That's basically how immortality works on every immortal creature. Except, well... God" He said simply, as he brought the squeezer up to the side of my head. "But we are not talking about me. This might hurt a bit"

I felt the liquid being dropped in the side of my head and I felt a small sting. When I didn't protest, Dante smiled knowingly.

"I knew you were a tough one" He sighed happily as I thought of what else to say about me.

"Well, I guess I'm just a regular girl from Greece. Nothing fancy about me, really." Dante's eyes snapped to mine and his smile turned into a small smirk. He looked like he knew something that I didn't.

"Tell me about your life. What about your parents?" He calmly said and left the small bottle on the floor beside his leg."I need to check your cut in your stomach now, is that okay?" My whole body stiffened and he immediately placed a hand on my shoulder, easing my anxiety. "If you don't-"

"No! It's fine..."I interrupted him and slowly reached for the hem of the large white shirt that I was wearing. I knew he already undressed me from my other clothes and I trusted him. For some reason, I knew I was safe with him.

I brought the shirt up to my breasts, without revealing them to his eyes, although I knew he wouldn't even be bothered by them. He didn't look at me like other men did; His stare was innocent and friendly, without hidden sexual and erotic meanings behind them. I have never been looked at like that. Only by Christine.

"My parents... well, my mother is Madison, the Queen of all Succubi..." I trailed off and watched for his reaction. He continued his actions, without reacting in any way to what I said. "And my father... he is a plain ol' human" I smiled a little as I thought of my father.

My smile turned quickly into a horrified expression as I remembered that I wasn't in Hell so the time was the same. My dad, my friends! They must be worried now!

"Hum-"He started but without realizing it I cut him off.

"Dante, my dad! My friends! They should be worried and looking for me! How much time has gone by? I must go back!" I said hurriedly and went to get up from the bed, but Dante's hands tightened slightly around my exposed waist, pushing my body down on the mattress. I immediately grabbed his hands and tried to pry them off me so I could go, but the energy that passed through my veins calmed me down.

"Eliana! Don't worry, I took care of that! They are completely fine" He assured me and let me calm down my erratic breathing as he gazed into my eyes.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked him and he chuckled a little at my confused face.

"Well, I didn't take care of it. Gabriel did"He said and hummed lovingly. his pale white cheeks reddening just a tinge.

"Who is Gabriel?" I asked, still confused and worried about my dad.

"That would be me..." A kind voice sounded from the door, and my head snapped up towards the sound. I saw the head of the man who entered the room earlier, pop inside and smile innocently at us.

"Gabe. What have I said about eavesdropping?" Dante spoke up, without looking at the man with the long white hair. He stepped inside the room and he fidgeted with his fingers as he came closer to the bed.

"Sorry, Dante... But I just couldn't help myself. She is the first person to step into our guest room in centuries. I was curious" Gabriel said shyly, in complete contrast to his appearance. His long white hair flowed smoothly down his chest, reaching his stomach. He was quite tall but surely shorter than Dante. His white drapes seemed light and feathery as they moved with the small breeze that entered when the door opened.

They both looked so ethereal and perfect, it actually hurt to look at them. The contrast between them, Dante with fiery red hair and bright yellow eyes, and Gabriel with snow-white hair and icy blue eyes, was magnificent and eye-catching.

But my confusion wouldn't let me appreciate the beautiful image in front of me, it kept nagging me and putting me on edge.

"Okay, seriously now. What is happening? Where am I? Who are you both? I need answers, Dante! I can't just vent about myself while I'm being drowned by my confusion!" I burst after Gabriel settled beside Dante.

For a while, nothing could be heard but my own rapid, short breaths echoing in the small room, with the four wooden walls as I looked at them, and mostly at Dante.

"Alright" Dante sighed and Gabriel smiled worriedly at me."Do you want to take a walk with me?"Gabriel nudged him on the back with his elbow and Dante sighed again. "With us?"

I immediately nodded and muttered a small "yes", eager to get out of this bed.

"Okay now, take it slow. Let me help you get up" Dante said, standing up himself and offering me his hand. I placed my far smaller hand in his open palm and his fingers graciously wrapped around mine. I threw the sheet over my body and I stood up slowly, with the help of Dante's strong arm.

My legs were trembling a little but I wasn't in pain. I just felt like I haven't walked in ages.

"First of all, what happened to my friends and my dad. And how long was I sleeping? And where are we?" I fired three questions all at once and they both chuckled as we walked out of the room.

Dante was in front of me, holding my hand and leading me outside, while Gabriel stayed behind me, watching me like a curious child. Once I stepped outside, the sun's bright light hit my body and I felt a warm feeling invade my pores. I looked around and inhaled deeply the fresh air. A large wooden house stood across the room we just stepped out from. It looked like a very expensive cabin, with thick trees spreading behind it for miles. My feet touched the soft grass and I huffed out, giggling absentmindedly.

The scenery was amazing. Grass and fresh air everywhere, the sun warming my body, two small wooden houses in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and fields of flowers. Everything was beautiful.

"Welcome to our home Eliana. Welcome to Romania." Dante said happily and lovingly as he looked at my reaction.

"It's beautiful here," I said and continued looking around this magical place. Birds were chirping and singing, butterflies flew all around us, and bees made circles on top of the flower fields.

"To put you at ease and relax your aching heart a little," Gabriel started and I looked at him as he walked beside me. "I went back to your place and I... kind of... enchanted, but in a good way, your dad and your three friends, Christine, Elliot, and Blake. They won't notice your absence until you go back." He continued and I listened closely at him. I frowned slightly but nodded at him. He relaxed visibly and he looked over at Dante, who was now on my right side, walking slowly and holding my hand.

"We are on the outskirts of Romania, far away from civilization, lost inside the forests and underneath the clouds. This has been our home for the past five centuries after we found each other." Dante started explaining, looking in front of him as we walked at a slow and steady pace.

Found each other?

"Me and Gabriel are mates, very much in love since 1512, if I remember correctly. Right, Gabe?"Dante continued and my eyes widened as I looked at the both of them, shocked and pleasantly surprised that God created a mate bond between two males.

"Right, my love" Gabriel hummed lovingly at his mate. A pang of loneliness hit me straight in the heart like a spear piercing through my chest, and I gasped in pain as we kept walking.

"Is everything alright, Eliana?" Dante said worriedly and looked down at me, scanning me for any signs of pain. I nodded my head quickly, hiding my pained expression from them by looking down at my feet.

"Yes, yes. Please continue" I whispered after a few seconds of silence. I know that he didn't believe me but he let the subject go, and continued talking.

"Gabriel is an angel and I... well I'm-" It hit me out of nowhere and I gasped in shock, turning to Gabriel.

How did I not realize this before?

"You're THE angel Gabriel?" I asked him in utter shock, looking up at him and he smiled beautifully at me. He nodded and I only just realized the angelic aura that surrounded him. He had this soft light around him, lighting him up. "Oh Dear God" I whispered underneath my breath as I admired Gabriel's angelic beauty.

"There there, stop drooling over my mate," Dante said humorously and gave me a side-look with those piercing yellow eyes. I blushed furiously and looked ahead of us, realizing that we just stepped into the fields of red tulips that I saw previously from afar. I looked around in wonder and I heard Dante sigh in slight discomfort.
