Love is a funny thing.

One minute, you think you've got your life together and the next, your whole world is thrown around. You have no idea what is going to come next. All you know is that this one person has caused it, and you don't give a damn about it.

He never said he loved me, but I knew he did.

I could see it in his eyes. I could see everything in his eyes, he never had to tell me how he was feeling because I just knew.

His warmth consumed me.

And I loved him, more deeply than I've ever loved. More passionately than I've ever loved. It hit me out of no where, but I excepted it. Embraced it.

But . . . it didn't last. How could something that good ever last?

I don't know, but I thought it would. I prayed it would and out of nowhere he crushed me. Left me.

Now I look back and wonder if he did love me, because how can a love, so deep and tender, which burned like a fire so bright it could never be put out, be so cruel?
