Sahara descended her feet on the accelerator, pressing as hard as she could. She could feel the car hydroplaning on the thick layer of rain water on the street, she's losing control of her brakes and steering.
What will happen if I drive off the road...
And then it hits her, "I can't hurt others because I'm an idiot." She presses on the brakes, her car dangerously slips to the side. Thankfully there were no cars on the road. However, a cop did stop behind her, turning on his emergency vehicle lighting to let her know of his presence.
She wipes her tears and rolls down her window. "Good evening, Ma'am. May I please see your driver's license?" He asks in a stern tone.
"Yes, of course." Sahara starts fumbling through her purse as the cop looks at her more closely because she looked familiar. He also noticed she looks distressed, as if she had been crying. She hands him her license.
"Ah, you are not familiar with U.K roads, I see. You're Canadian..." He gets the hint that she's been crying, "Ma'am... are you okay?" He couldn't help but ask.
"I– uh– I've had a rough night." Sahara says in defeat. She probably looked like too much of a mess to cover it up.
"Well, I understand that the roads are slippery and losing control of your vehicle was not your fault." He winks to let her know she's off the hook this time.
Alhumdulillah, Sahara says to herself.
"Yes, I've lost control of my car and–"
"Say... aren't you Damian Vasiliev's wife?" The cop asks curiously.
Sahara hesitatingly replies, "Yes."
"Bloody hell, thank God. He would've robbed me of my job if I gave you a ticket." He tries joking.
Sahara gave him a sad smile.
"Is it okay if I give you a ride home? I could get your car towed to your home. You don't seem like you're in a good condition to drive." He offers.

Sahara thinks about it for a few seconds and nods, "Thank you, I'd appreciate it." She grabs her purse and gets out of her car and he leads her inside his police vehicle.
The whole way, he tried to keep up small talk to make things less awkward. Sahara was grateful for it as it kept her mind off of things.

Ria runs towards the door and swings it open, "Sahara!" She hugs her fiercely. "Where have you been? I came home an hour ago and you weren't picking up your phone or anything, I thought something happened."
The officer explains the situation and told Ria to keep an eye on her friend as she seems to be very upset, he put emphasis on the "very".
"You idiot! You can't just do that! Your life is a precious gift given to you by Allah so you could make most of it. Plus, you had me bloody worried sick."
"I'm sorry... something came over me and I just... I need to rest. I need to collect my thoughts..." Sahara could barely form sentences.
Ria notices the panic and stress in her voice, and nods. Sahara definitely needs to rest, while Ria plans on giving Mr. Vasiliev a piece of her mind...
"Yes, please, rest up. Viktor has my– uh– my wallet, I need to go pick it up... If you need anything, call me immediately!" Ria says sternly.
Sahara nods and makes her way to her room.

Ria rings the doorbell at Damian's mansion. The the house gives her the creeps because of how huge and empty it is.
A nice older lady opens the door, she must be Katherine, from what Ria remembers from visiting last time. "Good evening, dear."
"Is Mr. Vasilliev at home?" Ria asks anxiously.
"Yes, he is, dear. However, he does not seem to be in the mood to–"
"Please, ma'am. Sahara almost swerved her car into traffic because of how depressed she is. I need Mr. Vasilliev to hear me out. I need to give him a piece of my mind."

Katherine puts a hand over her mouth in shock, "Is Sahara okay? Oh dear God, please, let me take you to Sir." She quickly starts walking as she motions Ria to follow her.
Ria thanks her.
Katherine looks at Ria with sad eyes, "Anything for Sahara, my dear. Sahara is a literal angel, she doesn't deserve any of this. Neither of them deserve any of this."
Katherine knocks on Damian's door and creaks it open, "Sir, you have a visitor..."
Damian turns around, "I don't have time to meet fucking visitors. I– Ria? What are you doing here?"
Katherine nods at Ria and leaves the room.
"What am I doing here? Hmm... Let's see... because of you Sahara almost died!"
Damian's eyes grew wide, his heart stopped beating for a few seconds, "What do you mean?"
Ria's voice grew even angrier, "Sahara almost swerved her car onto oncoming traffic. She's in so much bloody pain because of your dumbass that she almost took her own life to end everything."
Damian felt sick to his stomach. Is this what he's causing? Why is he always ruining the lives of others? His mind was pounding from the feeling of losing Sahara forever because of him. "She... she what?"
Ria lets out a sarcastic sigh, the tone of her voice rises, "YOU KILLED HER ONCE ALREADY BY BREAKING HER HEART, MR. VASILIEV!!! SHE ISN'T THE OLD SAHARA ANYMORE. STOP BEING A FUCKING SELFISH PIECE OF SHIT AND WAKE UP FOR ONCE!"
"What do you want me to do now?! Huh? I can't fucking do anything now. I already tore her apart, like you said. What can I do now? I don't fucking deserve such a bloody amazing person like her!" He yells back.
Damian isn't angry at Ria, he isn't angry at Sahara, he's angry at himself. Every time he thinks he's making appropriate decisions for Sahara's sake but it keeps backfiring. He wants her to be happy without him because he's a piece of shit but she loves him like no one has ever before.
Rias expression softened from what Damian said, "You want to know what you could do that could fix, maybe not everything, but some things? Talk. Just talk to Sahara, that's all. Have a heart-to-heart conversation, tell her how you feel, tell her everything."
Damian scoffs, "Yeah, like she wants to talk to me."
Ria rolls her eyes knowing how badly Sahara would want to talk to him, "Yes, of course she'll talk to you! You're the love of her life for God's sake." Ria begins to walk toward the door, "You'll be shocked at the outcome of just talking to her, it might save you both." Ria gives her last piece of advice before she leaves the room, leaving Damian alone with his thoughts.
He hasn't had a proper conversation with Sahara in the longest time, it makes his heart ache. Maybe talking is the solution they're looking for. We need to talk, we need to figure this out together, Damian thinks to himself.

Damian looks out at the glistening view of London at night, "It's beautiful up here..." wishing he were able to enjoy it with the girl of his dreams.
He breathes in the musky city air one last time, taking in every bit of the nostalgia. He looks down at the bustling city traffic, which is about 1,000 ft below him. His feet inching closer and closer to the edge, "This will end everything."
