"You need to get railed by Mr.Dimitri." I said adjusting my mic, I kept myself close to the walls because I didn't want bodies bumping into me.
I expected a angry answer by Valentino but the only answer I heard was laughing as his line went silent. I really fucked up this time.
I kept walking closer to the main doors and I was about to walk out but a very angry Valentino opened the big doors not even giving the guards a chance to open them first.
Shit shit shit.
I froze my actions and slowly backed up making sure my heels didn't click on the floor but before I could continue Valentino's head turned my way as he narrowed his eyes.
He slowly walked towards me but what really surprised me is that he looked calm?
I smiled at him and quickly started walking in the other direction trying to avoid him. If I was going to die, it wasn't going to be by Valentino's hands.
"Athena don't play with me with now." He whispered, he quickly started matching my pace as he soon was beside me.
He grabbed my arm tightly, but not to tight for it to hurt.
"Hi, who the hell are you?" I said with a confused expression trying to convince someone, if they were watching that is, that I didn't know this man right in front of me and that this was surely stranger danger.
"Athena.." he said in low warning tone making me sigh.
"Okay okay." I said taking my arm out of his hold and raising them in surrender. "But first I need to make sure of somethin-"
"About wh-?!" He nearly yelled making me slap my hand on his mouth in a fast movement as we got strange stares.
"Shut the hell up, you're being way to loud!" I angrily whispered taking my hand off his mouth slowly.
"Athena does it look like I give two flying shits?!" He whispered back leaning down to get on my face.
"Do you want me to answer that or....?" I said getting on his nerves. He groaned as he stood up straight and ran a hand over his black locks stressed, he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me alongside with him to the doors.
"Athena you're not giving me great time, you know that right?" He groaned as we got closer to the guards.
I looked up at him as he continued dragging me, "You know why we can't get anything right?!" I sneered.

He didn't even glance at me and continued walking forward as he replied,
"Why Athena, Tell me fucking why!" He responded rolling his eyes.
"It's because you can't get your shit together, at least I'm trying and I almost got killed! I know this may sound dumb but we need to work together! You're leaving all the job on me, does it look like I can multitask?!" I semi-yelled at him.
"Because I'm not a fucking hacker Athena, you're supposed to get information! But Kai, Leo and me are from different worlds. We're assassins, we kill."
"Then if you're a fucking assassin, kill him right now!"
We were now right outside our car as Leo and Kai were both inside looking through the windows trying figure out why we were both arguing.
"It's not the easy, goddammit!"
"Oh?! And you think that it is for me!?"
He leaned against the car, looking at me with his hooded eyes that got darker by each second.
"You know nothing about assassins." He simply said not moving.
"And you don't know shit about hackers." I said taking a step forward towards him.
"Okay and...!?"
"What do you mean 'and!?', maybe if we could actually get along, we could teach each other our skills!" I moved forward again pointing my finger at his face.
"The day I get along with you, will be the day I die."
"Pff, quit having such a ego. You think I want to get along with you?! I didn't even have a fucking choice if I wanted to be in this goddamn mission, but I'm trying for the sake of the mission!"
By now we were both inches apart, I was fueling with anger. I was trying to complete this fucking mission but everything just goes downhill.
"You don't even fucking care about the mission!" He yelled, his eyebrows were furrowed on anger as he had a snarl on his face.
"You think I don't!? I do care and allot because I just want to go back home, but I don't have a fucking choice and I'm here trapped with you because if I go to your boss and tell him I don't want to fucking work with you anymore, he will shoot a bullet between my eyes!"
"Good, because I want to shoot you right now." He said darkly making me raise an eyebrow and step forward.
"Then fucking do it you coward, if you can't even kill a mafia boss then how the fuck will you kill me!?"

He stopped leaning against the car and pushed me back with his body but I still didn't back down, if he was going to try to kill me then you better know I was also going to.
"You wanna know fucking how?" He whispered angrily close to my face.
"Yeah I do, fucking do it. No balls." I whispered back grabbing his collar and pulling him down to my height.
In that exact moment he pulled out his gun and I pulled out my dagger.
"Shoot me, I fucking dare you."
I watched as he pulled the trigger but before the bullet could come out, Leo grabbed Valentino's arms and pushed them upward making the bullet go up in the sky.
I took advantage of that and threw my dagger aiming for his fatal part, the heart, but before it could reach his skin, a hand shot out a grabbed it mid-air.
Kai flipped my dagger in his hands as both of them looked at us with clouded eyes full of anger.
"Are both of you fucking insane!?" Kai yelled get in between Valentino and me.
I stayed quiet and continued staring and Valentino making him stare back.
"You both are so fucking lucky, that gun had a silencer or else we would've been surrounded by guards already." Leo said taking the bullets out of the gun.
"Well it not my fault Valentino doesn't know how to get along with people." I whispered
"That doesn't fucking matter, We we're here for about 6 hours and we got no information. The only thing we know is that his favorite color is green and that is so fucking useless." Kai strictly said.
"So if you two are going to be like this the whole mission.." he continued as he looked at Valentino, "Valentino you might as-well tell the boss to cancel and give this mission to another group and that way Athena can go home without being shot dead by him."
I looked towards where Valentino was standing at, his fist were clenched so tightly to the point where so of his veins were surfacing. He took a deep breath as he looked at me.
"Fine, this is what will happen when we get back to the safe house. Us three will teach Athena our skills and she'll teach us her's, there's no point in us to stay here longer, let's go back home." Valentino announced making me sigh in relief.
I really didn't want to be in this shit hole anymore.
Leo and Kai both got inside the car leaving us both alone outside.
Valentino's took of his black tuxedo jacket leaving him in his white shirt underneath, that had sleeves that were folded until his elbow.
"What are you staring at?" He asked harshly making me look up at him.
"How ugly you are." I responded with the same tone, I was about to get in the car but he responded riling me up.
He chuckled humorless as he looked at me up and down, "Look at you, darling. You're literally the definition of ugly."
I stepped back out of the car as I raised my fist to hit him but Leo rolled down his window shooting us both a look.
"We literally left you two alone for 1 minute to get inside the car and you both are already arguing again." Leo said raising an eyebrow.
"She starte-" Valentino begun.
"I swear to god if you say I started it, I will rip your limbs one by one." I cut him off.
"I'd like to see you try, princess." He said winking.
I clenched my fist tightly fighting the urge to start another fight. I took a deep breath and got inside the car being the bigger person.
"Yeah that's what I thought." He sighed following me inside the car in the back as Kai and Leo both got the driver and passenger seat.
"Why are you sitting beside me?!" I yelled at him.
"Does it look like there are more seats!?" He argued back.
"Oh my god, shut the hell up. Valentino just switch with Leo." Kai yelled turning his body to look at us.
"No" Valentino simply said.
I huffed looking out the window.
"What do you mean 'no'!?" Kai repeated looking at Valentino.
"I'm already seated and I will not move my ass, I'm tired." Valentino argued back.
Kai sighed as I added a comment,
"You don't even have a ass." I whispered quietly but Leo might've heard it as he burst out laughing.
Suddenly I felt Valentino wrap his hand around my neck and yank me towards him, not to mention there was no escape as I was in a fucking car.
"Watch you're mouth Athena." He whispered harshly close to my face.
"And you should watch yours." I whispered back.
He released my neck harshly and looked outside the window and I did too.
Little did we know Kai and Leo both saw our weird exchange.

While they both struggle to adapt to their new lives, their obvious talent propels them to the forefront of the war. Their choices will shape their adoptive homelands forever, and their clash will decide the future of the galaxy. This story is broken up into volumes, each following one half of the conflict. You can read them in chronological order, or you can follow just Yang or Reinhard. See individual descriptions below. Wanting to escape that indentured servitude, Yang flees his homeland and takes up a false identity in the Galactic Empire, a hyper-stratified society where stepping out of line is punishable with imprisonment or death. Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. When tensions at the school boil over and several of Yang’s classmates attempt to murder him, Yang finds an unlikely ally in the top student in the class: the aloof Oskar von Reuenthal. But Reuenthal and Yang both have secrets, secrets which could destroy both their lives and their newfound friendship.
