He sighed and his gaze shifted to me. His grey orbs stared with such intensity that I started to get anxious. He shook his head and ran a hand down his face. He looked at me normally this time.
"My father didn't want to share he had a son since I would become a target and the mafia needs to have a heir, which is me. He entered me to this agency since I was young to at least know how to defend myself and all that." He answered staring at his hands nervously.
"Oh," I said, it was all I could say.
Valentino stood up and suggested we go to his room to discuss the topic further. We all agreed and followed him up the stairs and to his room.
His room was a light shade of grey. His king-sized bed was in the middle of the room and there was a window beside each side. There were some clothes scattered on the floor. There were shelves on the other side of the wall with small pictures.
There was a door on the other side of the wall that probably went to his bathroom or
closet.
There was a desk with a laptop on top of it.
Wait a damn minute, that's my laptop.
"Get comfortable." Valentino suggested to all of us. He didn't even have to say twice as Kai and Leo immediately went to his bed to sit down. I didn't feel that comfortable towards Valentino yet, so I sat on his desk chair.
Valentino looked at me with a raised eyebrow and shook his head slowly. "What?" I asked spinning in the chair.
"Nothing." He turned around and started pacing back and forth in his room. "Athena." I raised my head at my name as Valentino called it. I looked at him waiting for an explanation. "You know how to hack right?" I raised an eyebrow at his comment.

"Sorry sorry, that was a stupid question. What I meant to say was can you hack into the guest list and put our names on it?" He asked as he stopped pacing and stood in front of me. I needed to lift my head to look at him, I was seated and he was standing up.
My eyes shined with excitement and I smirked looking at him. "Count on me but-" I turned on my seat to look at the desk. "Give memmy laptop."
He leaned towards the desk with an arm on the desk. I could feel his body warmth radiating from him. His masculine scent was overwhelming as I breathed it in with no effort.
My breath hitched in my throat, he grabbed my laptop with his other hand and leaned away from me. His body warmth immediately went away and I felt coldness surround my body, chills ran down my spine and I let out the breath I had.
Valentino gave me my laptop and walked to his bed and sat down, joking and laughing with Kai and Leo. His eyes shined when he was happy and his dimples called attention. His eyes squinted as he rumbled with laughter.
I shook my head and turned around in my seat and put my laptop on the desk and turned it on. A grin appeared on my face as I ran my fingers through the keyboards. A week ago I would have never thought I'd be hacking a mafia, I first searched his bank account and saw that this guy had about 6 accounts that were loaded with money.
I found the account in which he bought invitations. I wrote down his email in a paper nearby. I inserted the email into my laptop. A tab came up asking for the password, fuck. I entered a lot of symbols and codes into the bar and another tab came up. The screen turned green with a lot of numbers scattered through it.

I felt breathing on the top of my head and I jumped surprised. My head hit something hard and I grunted rubbing my head. I turned around in my seat and was met with blue and grey orbs.
Leo was rubbing his chin and Valentino was staring at my laptop screen. "What the hell?!" I asked looking at both of them.
Leo rolled his eyes playfully, "Sorry, I just wanted to see how you hack" he smiled sheepishly at his confession.
I smiled back and nodded. I turned around on my seat, ready to continue but I felt breathing in my ear. "Can you stop breathing on my ear?" I said, it didn't sound like a question but more like an order.
"Pff no, I wanna see" his deep, husky voice answered. I rubbed both sides of my head in a circular motion and closed my eyes.
"Well, I can't continue if you keep breathing on my damn ear!" I turned my head to look at him. His face centimeters away from mine. I could feel his breath on my lips, my eyes widened as he stared into mine. He suddenly grinned and whispered "I.don't.care."
I groaned and pushed him off my face. He stumbled back not expecting it, he started laughing as he held his stomach. His chest vibrated with laughter. His eyes squinted and his eyebrows were furrowed. I tried keeping a straight face but I saw myself smiling. I rolled my eyes playfully.
"You should have seen your face." He wheezed out. He was panting. "Fuck, my stomach hurts now." He said rubbing his stomach but he was still chuckling
"You're annoying." I said looking at him.
"Well if that's the case, I think you're annoying too." He smiled standing up straight. He walked away towards his bed and lay there.
My head followed his movements as I was perplexed by what just happened.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
