《What I Want ✔》Epilogue

Aubrey
It's been five years since I was free from Haden's clutches and I'm married to Vincent. I'm officially Aubrey McKnight and I couldn't be more thrilled.
We have three beautiful children, Damien, Christian and Amelia.
Damien is now eight years old and is the best brother in the world. He looks after for his siblings and takes care of them. I really admire that.
I was surprised when I found out that I was pregnant. It was a miracle. I remember crying when the test results came back. I was gonna have a baby. Vincent was the happiest man alive. It was great that Damien could have someone to grow up with and I could have children.
Christian is three years old. He is an active little boy. He is the spitting image of Vincent. He practically copies everything Damien does. Those two do a lot of mischief together.
Amelia is one year old. She is really quiet and loves to be in my arms all the time. She looks a lot like me. She inherited my eyes and Vincent's smile.
I love my children. They light up my world more than I could have ever known.
"Honey, are you ready?" Vincent called.
"I'll be there in a sec. I'm almost done dressing Amelia."
After putting her in a pretty floral blue dress. I took her into my arms and carried her downstairs. She took a handful of my hair in her arms and babbled. My hair now reached mid back and has been restored to it's natural black colour.
Vincent opened the door for me and I put Amelia in her car seat. After settling the kids we were off.
I stopped at a floral shop and purchased some fresh roses.
A couple minutes later we arrived at the cemetery.
"Are we gonna see Uncle Blake and Uncle Xavier again mommy?" Damien asked. I considered Xavier family. He had a kind heart and I would have wanted my kids to know him.
"Yes we are."
We got out of the car and walked in. Vincent held Amelia while Christian and Damien helped me put flowers on Blake's grave.
"Come on kids. Let's give mommy some space." Vincent said as he walked away.

"Blake, I miss you and I wish you were here to see your niece and nephews. Don't worry I'm making sure that they will never forget you. They will know about you and how great you were. I love you and I will never forget you. I know you're looking down on us and you love us. And we'll meet someday but for now just know that you're still the very best brother ever." A few tears slid out and I closed my eyes as I felt the wind around me.
I stood up and placed flowers on Xavier's grave.
"I hate the fact that you lost your life that day to your own brother. You were an amazing person even though you and I weren't so close. I appreciate the fact that you still saw me as family even though Haden and I weren't together. I appreciate you Xavier. Thank you for everything. I made sure my kids know about you. You will live on in our minds and hearts."
After I was done, I went back to the car where they were waiting for me.
"Let's go to the park. Aunty Alessandra is waiting for us there." Vincent smiled.
~
"High." Christian squealed as Alessandra pushed him on the swing. Damien went for icecream with Vincent while I held Amelia.
"It's like you and Vincent were made for each other. I've never seen two people fight for love the way you guys did. Even when it seemed hopeless you guys made it back to each other. That's one for the books." She chuckled and I laughed.
"When you truly love someone you have to be prepared to fight for them no matter what."
"You guys are soo adorable." She giggled and I smiled.
"Ice-cream for everyone." Vincent said as he gave us our ice-cream.
After we were finished Alessandra went to her car and came back with gifts.
"You know I must always bring presents for you all." She gave us gifts and we spent some time chatting while the kids played.
"Well I've got to get to the airport now." She sighed.

We arrived at the airport on time and dropped her off.
"Bye aunty." Damien and Christian hugged her as Amelia babbled.
"Bye kids. Be sure to tell your dad to bring you all to Italy someday." She punched Vincent's shoulder.
"Ouch, what's that for?" Vincent whined.
"For not visiting enough." She smiled as she pulled her luggage.
"I'll see you all soon." She called and we waved.
"Now, who's ready to go to the beach!" I said and they all cheered.
~
We spent the day at the beach. Vincent was playing with the kids on the sand and I sat in the shade as I watched them.
Things changed a lot from the way it had been. Everyone was able to peacefully move on with their lives.
As for Haden, he was checked into a mental facility. I was glad that he was getting the help that he truly needed. I could never forgive Haden for all that he did. After he got the help he needed, he would serve his time in prison. I truly felt sorry for his parents because they had lost both of their children. They lost Xavier and Haden at the same time. I still kept in contact with them.
Emma moved back in town to be closer to me and for our children to grow up together.
Caleb, Nicholas, Derek and Alex often visited us. We all stayed close friends. Our kids had play dates together and we always kept barbecues and picnics together.
I thought about how far I came and what I've been through. It was a really difficult start, I'll admit, but things turned out pretty great.
I remembered that I was that girl who had a crush on Haden Vanderbilt and I was hell bent on being with him. He was the only one I wanted. I thought that him and I should be together. The fact is I didn't know who he truly was.
I learnt soo much. I realise that you can't just love someone based on their looks or who you think they are. You have to really get to know them first. If someone doesn't love you, it's okay, don't ever force it. I promise it isn't worth it.
I survived through everything. I made it through that phase with Anthony and Haden. It taught me so many lessons. I have scars from the battle and I know that I'm victorious. People can hurt you for their own selfish purposes but you have to know what you want for yourself. You have to be strong.
Trust me, there will be someone that will come and love you endlessly. They will never give up on you and they will want to make you happy and fill your world with joy. They will take away your pain and make you feel amazing. They will complete you and you don't have to settle for less. I'm happy that person is Vincent. I couldn't ask for more. Vincent stuck with me through it all and I appreciate it.
I never thought that Blake and I would become close and I'm thankful that we did.
We lost Blake and Xavier but they will never be forgotten.
I looked at my family as they played on the beach and I know that this is where I belong. I will protect my children as much as I can.
The world is filled with selfish, deceitful people but there are also the ones that are worth fighting for.
"Mommy, come play with us." Damien called as he poured out a bucket of sand.
I got up and walked to them. This is the life I had dreamed of. The life I always wanted and I'm happy it is mine. Here with Vincent and my children....
I have finally gotten

I closed my eyes tightly until I heard laughing. No, I could feel the laughing. My eyes sprang open to find Miles on top of me. I was laying flat on my back in the dirt with my glove with the ball inside pressed against his chest. Miles was not at all fat, but he was 6'2 compared to my barely 5'3.I could feel his chest rumbling and shaking with laughter as I lay humiliated on the ground."I didn't know you liked being on the bottom," Miles said loudly. The whole field cracked up with that. I struggled under him and shoved him off of me. All of the guys were howling with laughter as I got up and swiped all the dirt off me. "Pervert," I muttered, before tossing the ball out of my glove to hit him in the thigh. I stalked across the field without another word. The whole team was in hysterics as I shoved all my things in my bag and practically ran off to get away....Gloria is like any other 17 year old girl getting ready for summer break, but this summer is going to be completely different.
