NOTE: The song above is the lullaby they sing.

Being with Vincent was amazing. He made me extremely happy and I love him. His smile lit up my day. We have been dating for 5 months and things couldn't be better. I now lived with Vincent. So many things happened. For instance, he threw an amazing birthday party for me. We didn't travel much because of Damien but we sure had a great time. I am now 23 and happily living with Vincent.

Damien is 6 months now and is moving around. Vincent loves Damien as much as I did and they both got along well.

Every night before he slept, Vincent and I would always sing to him.

"I'm lying on the moon

My dear, I'll be there soon

It's a quiet, starry place

Time's we're swallowed up

In space we're here a million miles away

There's things I wish I knew

There's no thing I'd keep from you

It's a dark and shiny place

But with you my dear

I'm safe and we're a million miles away

We're lying on the moon

It's a perfect afternoon

Your shadow follows me all day

Making sure that I'm

Okay and we're a million miles away"

After singing to him he would fall right asleep. That song even made me feel better and it was kind of Vincent's and I thing. It became our tradition, our special thing.

I sat on the bed snuggled in Vincent's arms.

"How did I get soo lucky?" He smiled.

"Having you here is all I could ever want." He kissed my forehead.

"I never thought I could ever love someone as much as I love you Vincent." I smiled.

Vincent's mouth crashed down on mine. His tongue swirled around mine delicately and made me feel something indescribable. Vincent was driving me insane and I knew I wanted him.

He unbuttoned my blouse and kissed my neck all the way down. He paused and looked up at me.

"Aubrey, do you want this? Are you ready?"

Despite everything that happened with Anthony I knew what I wanted. I want want Vincent.

"Yes Vincent. Make love to me." As those words left my mouth Vincent attacked me with kisses. It was a night of pleasure and love. Vincent was gentle and sweet. He always made sure I was okay before he proceeded.

Vincent made love to me and I enjoyed every moment of it.

I woke up feeling happy. Looking over I saw Vincent peacefully sleeping. A smile spread across my face and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man. On cue Damien cried. I slipped out of bed and went to him in the other room.

I cradled Damien in my arms and carried him downstairs.

"Are you hungry little guy?" I cooed as I set him down in his chair.

"Buhhhh." He babbled as he sat in the chair and played with his toy.

I quickly prepared his formula and fed it to him. After he was full he continued playing with his toy rabbit.

I kept an eye on him as I prepared breakfast for Vincent and I. I made waffles with blue berries and a glass of orange juice.

I felt a hand around my waist and a kiss on my neck.

"Good morning sweet cheeks." Vincent whispered huskily in my ear.

"Good morning Vincy." I smiled as I tiptoed and kissed him.

"This breakfast looks delicious!" He beamed as I gave him his plate.

We sat at the table and ate while Damien played, often toppling his toys on the floor and having me pick them up. It was a joy having a family like this.

"How about we have a picnic today?" Vincent suggested.

"That's a great idea."

"You wanna go on a picnic Damien?" I questioned and he made a gurgling noise. I chuckled at his cuteness and kissed his forehead.

"I'll prepare our picnic basket."

"While you do that, Damien and I will get ready." Vincent took Damien upstairs.

After packing the picnic basket with cakes, sandwiches, chicken pasta salad, pies, juices, baby food, formula and other snacks, I went upstairs and got ready.

I wore an off shoulder yellow romper and brown sandals. When I was done brushing my hair I put on my yellow floral straw hat. I grabbed my sunglasses and purse then made my way downstairs.

Vincent and Damien were already waiting downstairs and I realised that Vincent had already packed the things in the car.

They looked absolutely adorable. Vincent wore a blue short sleeved shirt that was buttoned down paired, white pants that reached above knees, cream colored Vans and sunglasses. Damien was like a miniature version of Vincent. He wore the same thing.

"You guys look soo adorable." I gushed as I took a couple pictures of them.

"You look beautiful." Vincent commented and I blushed.

"Thank you."

I took Damien, put him in his carrier and gave him his favourite toy.

We were all set to go. Vincent drove us to a quiet spot that had an amazing view. I loved it!

We spread our blankets and settled ourselves.

Damien crawled around and seemed to be having the time of his life as he looked at birds and other animals.

Vincent poured some champagne and gave it to me.

"This is delicious." He moaned as he ate some of the chicken pasta salad.

"Thanks. Try some of this." I passed him a ham and cheese sandwich.

"Damn, you can really cook." He smiled as he ate.

We spent the evening together and it was absolutely amazing.

My phone rang and checking the ID it was an unfamiliar number. I answered it anyway.

"Hello."

"Hey Aubrey. This is Haden."

"What do you want?"

"I wanted to know if you would like to come over and spend the evening. I really need your help."

"I'm not interested. Now please, stop bothering me." I switched off the phone.

"Haden?" Vincent questioned.

"Yes."

"The guy doesn't know when to quit." Vincent sighed.

"Tell me about it. I'll just block his number."

"Aubrey there's something I have to ask you."

"What is it?"

"When I first met you, I saw a shy, quiet, beautiful woman. At that moment I knew it would he hard to stay away from you. It would be hard to watch you with Haden. When I first kissed you I knew that we were meant to be together. Your lips were welcoming and warm. You complete me Aubrey and I know what it feels like to be without you. It's torture when you're not here and I never want to experience that again. I love you Aubrey and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He paused and took a black box out of his pocket and I gasped.

"Aubrey Evans, I love you soo much that there's nothing in this world I can compare my love to. You're absolutely perfect and you're all I could ever want. I would love nothing more than for you to be my wife. Will you marry me?"

I was speechless as tears of joy fell down my face.

"Yes, I will marry you." I cried as I hugged him and planted a kiss on his lips.

Damien crawled onto my lap and I scooped him into my arms. I was filled with joy.

No one could ever tear us apart.

Haden

I was angry. Rage consumed me but I decided against doing anything rash.

"This can't be happening. Aubrey turned me down. Why doesn't she want me?" I yelled to no one in particular.

I know that I hurt her but she should give me a chance to prove that I can be good. To prove that I am worthy of her love. The way she spoke I knew she was with Vincent. Heck, they even lived together. This hurt more than I could ever imagine.

The doorbell rang and I opened the door. Caleb was standing there with a huge grin on his face.

"Hey man." He greeted and I let him inside.

"I have some news. You might wanna sit down though." He said calmly.

After getting us two beers we sat down on the sofa.

"What do you have to tell me that requires me to sit down?" I chuckled.

"Well the thing is, Vincent just called and gave me the good news. He is marrying Aubrey. He proposed to her."

"What! That can't be true."

"Yes, it is. They are getting married. I just thought I'd tell you so you wouldn't get a heart attack or something if you found out on your own."

I was silent for a moment as I processed what he said.

"Look man, I know you just realised what you missed out on. You have to let go. Aubrey isn't coming back and you can't waste your time waiting. She is in love with Vincent. I've seen the way they look at each other. They are in love and that's a really beautiful thing. You can't try to come in between that. You have to respect it. While you were bonding with Ivory, Aubrey and Vincent were spending time together. You have to stop trying to get Aubrey back."

"I know that. And I'm no longer trying to get her. She's happy and that's all I want for her."

"Great. I'm glad for you man."

"Thanks."

"So you're gonna come to the wedding?"

"That's not my decision to make. Besides I'm moving out of town. I want to start fresh."

"Wow, Haden that's a big move. Are you sure you wanna do that man?"

"Yeah. There's nothing left for me here. I need a new beginning."

"Well that's great. I'm happy for you."

A couple drinks later and Caleb left.

I would never ever leave Aubrey alone. I couldn't. I need her to be with me. She was like a drug I didn't even know that I was on. I really like her and I think she is amazing.

I just told Caleb what he wanted to hear. I had to get him off my back. Now that he thinks that I'm no longer after Aubrey I can formulate a plan to win her back.

As I sat on the balcony I wondered if she ever thinks about me sometimes. If some part of her still loves me. I know all can't be lost. I think she's just using Vincent to get rid of me. I know that Aubrey still feels something for me. I have to make her remember that she loves me.

The perfect idea popped into my head and I knew just how I would win Aubrey back. It would take time but I knew it would work. I'm doing this all for her and I promise her that she would be happier with me.

Aubrey, I will make you mine.
