《What I Want ✔》Chapter 17

It's been two weeks since Aubrey was missing. We managed to find her phone and turned it in to the police but that didn't make me feel any better. I've been spending time with Ivory to fill the void that Aubrey left but it's like I can't be around her. Everytime I am around her I feel guilty. I feel sick to my stomach.
"Haden, I asked if you think we should paint the room baby blue or dark blue." Ivory yelled with an annoyed expression.
"Oh sorry. Anything is fine." I muttered as I looked out the window. We were currently at my house fixing a room for the baby but I was so out of it. The news that I was having a baby boy didn't make me as excited as I thought it would. I just felt empty.
"Haden. This is your son. Our son. You are acting like you don't care!" She screamed.
"I'm sorry but if you haven't noticed, my wife is missing." I barked and a look of surprise covered her features.
"So this is about Aubrey." She spat.
"Of course it's about Aubrey. I miss her damn it. I have no idea where she is and I'm worried."
"You miss her?"
"Why wouldn't I? We may not always get along but she is still a person. Her life matters."
"I can't believe this Haden. I can't believe you."
"Can't believe what Ivory?"
"That you don't care about our son. This is one of the most important things that can happen to you."
"I do care and I love him. I love our son and you. Nothing can change that. But right now there are more important things than painting rooms Ivory. Aubrey's life could be at stake."
"Have you ever thought of the fact that she just left and you're wasting everyone's time by searching for her? I mean her clothes were missing right? And she just happened to drop her phone. Haden, it seems to me like this was her plan. She left you."
"I don't believe that."
"I know you don't and I hope she is okay but you have to come to the realization that people can make choices aswell. People can leave if they want to."
"We aren't talking about people Ivory, we're talking about Aubrey. We are talking about a selfless woman who puts others needs above their own. A woman who cares and has a kind heart. A woman who is quite frankly , too good for this world. A woman who doesn't deserve to be tied to me."
"This isn't your fault Haden. She left on her own."
"But it is my fault Ivory. I always hurt her."
"And now you're hurting yourself Haden. If she wants to come back I believe she will. Who would wanna kidnap Aubrey?"
"Look that's not the point and I'm tired of talking about this."
"Don't push me away Haden."
"I think it's time you leave."

"What... what are you saying Haden?"
"I need to be alone and you need to leave. Now!" I barked at her.
"Fine." She stormed out angrily.
I found it annoying that she couldn't see it from my point of view. I was angry that she was acting like this wasn't a big deal because it was.
I grabbed my phone and dialed a number, my heart beating every second. On the third ring the phone answered.
"How can I help you?" Vincent spat coldly.
"Am I not allowed to miss my bestfriend?" I muttered and there was a pause.
"Yes you are because your bestfriend misses you too." He sighed.
"I'm sorry Vincent. I shouldn't have left that day."
"That's true and I promised myself I wasn't gonna talk to you again for that but I see you have finally come to your senses."
"Yes I have, for a while now actually. I realised that I shouldn't have left like that."
"Exactly, So where's Ivory? Last time I heard, she was staying with you."
"She was. I just kicked her out." I sighed and Vincent laughed.
"Finally. She needed to go but what did you kick her out for?"
"Because she was talking shit about how I'm not focusing on the baby and that Aubrey just left me and isn't really missing."
"Bullshit! Who does she think she is? The FBI? She has no say in this matter whatsoever. The nerve of some people." Vincent snarled.
"It made me upset and before I did something I'd regret, I told her to just leave."
"You did the right thing. So you're gonna father a son." He stated.
"Yeah, I am. I wanna be a good father and all but I can't focus right now."
"I understand. We need to find Aubrey and everything will flow from there."
"Yes it will but that dude that has been tracking Aubrey all along. The cops don't even identify him. Apparently this is his first time committing an offence. What does he have against her?"
"I have no idea. This is so weird. We should have done more the first time he attacked. This guy is dangerous and if it's really him that has her, my heart hurts to think about what he is doing to her. When I find that son of a bitch I'll kill him." Vincent roared.
"No Vincent, will kill the bastard!"
~
After my long phone call with Vincent I decided to visit my mom.
"Haden!" She gasped and hugged me.
"Are you okay?"
"No mom. I miss Aubrey." I sighed defeated.
"Its okay honey. We have to have hope that we will find her."
"Its been two weeks. I don't know what's happened to her."
"None of us do. Let's hope she'll be okay."
"Haden? Is that you? Well well well big bro. I haven't seen you in so long."
Xavier smirked as he walked downstairs. Xavier is my younger brother. He has dark brown hair and light green eyes. He is 23 years of age and mostly resides in France. I was surprised to see him here. Our features were almost identical and we could literally pass for twins.

"I could say the same thing. What are you doing here?" I countered.
"I came to stay for a while."
"How come?"
"I heard your wife is missing and that you were depressed plus I have a project going on down here, the construction of a new mall."
"Oh, I see. Thanks."
"Well I'll leave you boys to chat. I'll be upstairs if you need me." Mom smiled as she left.
"So you're still with Ivory huh."
"Yes. She's having my baby."
"Can I just point out that you screwed up?" He said and I groaned.
"You don't have to tell me."
"What are you gonna do about it?"
"I need to find Aubrey first then I'll make up with Ivory or something."
"Wow. Sure wish my life was as exciting as yours."
"What about your girlfriend Pari?" I questioned.
"Firstly, it's Parisa and we broke up." He slumped in his chair.
"Why?"
"I caught her cheating."
"Oh I'm sorry. Who did she cheat on you with?"
"The designer of the modelling company I got her into."
"Yikes. How could she do you like that?"
"I don't know. I gave her the world but I guess she wanted the universe." He sighed.
"Why don't we go for some drinks? You need to clear your head."
"You think that's a good idea? You know considering what you're going through."
"I think it's a great idea."
"You're driving." He chuckled.
"Of course I am."
~
I was currently sitting in the same room all alone. I don't know how long I've been here but I'm not losing faith that I would be saved.
I was thankful that Anthony did not do anything to me.
Flashback
He slowly climbed on top of me and I closed my eyes because I knew what he was gonna do next.
One person was on my mind. I prayed Vincent would save me.
Then he stopped. I felt him climb off me. I slowly opened my eyes.
"I won't take you yet. The time isn't right. I want you to beg for me." He smirked and I shivered.
He kissed me one final time before leaving the room.
End of Flashback
It was also painful staying here. I was beaten almost everyday by Sam. The marks on my back made it painful to move not to mention that I was under fed. I hadn't seen Anthony since that day and I was scared to even think about what he might do if he comes back.
Sam stormed into the room taking me by complete surprise.
"Go get cleaned up!" He barked.
"W-What?"
"Anthony is coming and we can't have you looking like this." He panicked as he helped me up.
"I-I can't move."
"Shit. SHIT!" He yelled.
He grabbed me and shoved me into the bathroom.
"I'm giving you 5 minutes to shower. Don't make me have to do it myself." He growled and slammed the door.
I stripped off my clothes with the little strength I had left and climbed into the shower. The warm water hit my back and I instantly melted. The water soothed my skin and made me feel better. I shampooed my hair because I didn't know when I'll get a shower again. After I was done, I grabbed my towel and got out of the shower. On the bed there was a black dress that would reach about mid-knees and some lingerie.
I quickly got dressed and no sooner than I did, Sam entered the room.
"I see you're ready. Don't tell Anthony about those wounds." He snared at me as he squeezed my hand causing me to cry out in pain.
He took me downstairs and left me on a sofa.
A few minutes later, Anthony entered the room.
"Sorry I couldn't be with you for these last few weeks." He smirked as he sat next to me. He took my hand in his and kissed it and I pulled away. Looking down he noticed the mark that Sam left.
"How did you get this?"
"I was fooling around with the heater and the water burnt me." I lied. He looked unconvinced but let it go.
He pulled me into his lap and hugged me causing me to yelp.
His hand lingered on my back and I did all in my power not to cry out. He slowly unzipped my dress and gasped.
"What the fuck is this?" He barked.
"I-I."
"I said, what the fuck is this? Who did this to you?"
"I fell."
"Don't give me that shit Aubrey. No one is allowed to touch you but me." He screamed as he put me on the sofa. He stormed out of the room and returned with Sam, Angelo and Leonardo.
He grabbed me off the sofa and spun me around.
"Look at her fucking back. Who the hell did this to her?"
"Sir, Sam is in charge of her room." Angelo stated.
"Sam, did you do this?" Anthony questioned.
"Sir, she was being rude and I had to fix her."
"By fucking bruising her back and having her looking pale and weak!" Anthony yelled.
"Sir she-she..." Sam trailed off.
"That's it. Angelo, Leonardo, take him downstairs." Anthony smirked.
"No please, no." He begged as they dragged him away.
"What are you gonna do to him?" I questioned.
"Teach him a permanent lesson. And anyone that harms you Aubrey will face the same fate. Anyone that tries to take you away from me will face the same faith as Sam."
"And what fate is that?" I gulped as he pulled me into him and hugged me.
"Don't worry baby. Dead men tell no tales." He smirked and crashed his lips on mine.
