"Yes...yes....Okay dad I will take care of myself and will call you if anything happens" I playfully rolled my eyes and smiled. "I'm serious Eyshana" Sagar spoke firmly into the phone. I laughed, "Okay Okay, I get it....take care of yourself, the kids and Aditi, Love you bro" I smiled. "Love you sis, take care" he spoke before cutting the call.

I sighed, leaning against my car as I watched people walk past. I looked down at my feet, thinking about what just happened a few minutes ago.

"I know I don't have the right to ask you this but...but will you please help her?"

"No" I stated

Was I too harsh?, I mentally scoffed at that word. Why should I help them?, I'm not the only lawyer in this world. I remember their expressions, their eyes pleading while I just ignored and dismissed them. They don't deserve my help, I'm only helping Sona as that's my job, they can look for another lawyer to help their so-called friend. I ran my hand through my hair, a sigh leaving my lips.

I really need to have a fag right now.

I could hear bells coming from a distance catching my attention. I locked my car and walked towards the sounds of the bells. "Sorry" I muttered when my shoulder hit another. The area was filled with people causing myself to push through them. I stood in front of the beautiful temple, watching people chanting and praying to god. I glanced at some young girls who were walking towards a lake with candles in their hands.

I walked towards them, watching how the candles flowed and balanced on the water delicately. I stared at my reflection in the water only to see my whole life replaying in front of me, from my parents death, to me and Riya moving, to meeting the group, to my life getting destroyed. I tightly snapped my eyes shut, taking deep breaths while my palms clenched into fists.

I slowly opened my teary eyes, the wind brushing my hair locks away from my face as I moved closer to the lake that was filled with lights. How would it feel if I hid under this water, hiding away from the world in peace with no pain and heartbreak?

I kept gazing at the lake, like it was calling me, possessing me, hypnotising me to go to it. "MA'AM, MOVE AWAY FROM THE WATER PLEASE, YOU ARE TOO CLOSE TO IT" a person yelled but I blocked the voice out. My eyes then suddenly started to go blurry, my head now dizzy as I held my head with my hand.

I closed my eyes and shook my head, massaging my scalp. I re-opened my eyes and turned to walk away until I felt dizzy again, my legs losing balance as the world spun around me not realising that I was way too close to the water and then suddenly I heard a SPLASH!.

All sounds blocked from my ears as I fell lower and deeper, sinking until my eyes slowly started to close, maybe forever, not being able to hold my breath, the cold water rushing inside my mouth, the oxygen taking away my thoughts as I fell into a pit of darkness.

"OH MY GOD, SOMEONE FELL INTO THE WATER" a person screamed catching everyone's attention. "SOMEONE SAVE HER" another person yelled causing everyone to surround the lake yet no one jumped in. They all started to chatter about the person who fell into the lake yet no one thought of actually jumping in and saving the innocent life until suddenly they all gasped when they heard a loud splash.

Girls covered theirs mouths in shock. Their cheeks tinted with crimson red, their eyes scanning up and down a body with lust as they giggled with shyness. A man ascended from the water with a limp girl in his arms. The water dripping from his blond locks, rolling down to his toned tanned abs. His muscles reflexing as he held the girl closer to his body, moving with big steps until he came out of the water.

People surrounded him as he laid the unconscious girl on the ground. He placed both palms on her chest and pressed hardly, pumping her heart up and down until she coughed, water spilling out of her mouth. Her beautiful hazel eyes fluttered open until they closed again. The unknown man tucked her wet locks behind her ear and gazed at her beautiful face. "Call the ambulance" he commanded with a firm yet deep, sexy voice. His amber eyes didn't move away from the woman in his arms, gazing at her with intense until she was taken to the hospital.

I slowly opened my eyes, my hand reaching out to my throbbing head as I glanced around the room I was in.

Where was I?

I heard a beeping sound causing me to look at the monitor beside me. I looked down at my hands only to see a wire attached to it making me cringe. I pulled out the wire, hissing once it was pulled out.

I was surrounded by white walls making me feel isolated and sick, realising I was in a hospital. I hated hospitals. I was about to throw the covers off me until the door opened revealing the doctor. "Ah, Good Afternoon Miss Roy, how are you feeling now?" the doctor smiled at me. I gave him a confused look. "Why am I here?" I responded back with a question. "and how do you know my surname?"

"I believe these are yours" he spoke, placing my bag and phone onto the bed. "You see, you were brought to the hospital after finding you drowning under the water. You were lucky to have been pulled out on time or else you could have lost your life" he explained. I gave him a shocked look. I looked down at my lap as everything came back to me. I fell into the water, damn it!.

I looked back at the doctor and smiled. "Thank you doctor, I will make sure to pay-", "Oh no need dear, everything has already been paid" he waved his hand and smiled. I looked at him dumbfounded.

Paid?

"What do you mean doctor?, who paid for me?" I asked with confusion.

I need to thank the person who saved me, he saved my life and my promise that I made with Sagar. How stupid could I have been by walking too close to the water.

"I did" a voice spoke, snapping me out of my thoughts as I looked up to see a tall man, about 6ft3 with long ash blond hair tied into a man bun standing near the door. He skin was tanned, his jaw sharp as a knife covered with facial hair, his nose straight and his lips chapped. His eyes, his eyes were so hypnotising like the colour of a Lion, bright amber coloured eyes, so beautiful that I couldn't look away until a fake cough snapped my gaze away.

"I'm Malin, Malin Black" he reached out his hand for me too shake. I glanced at his hand and shook it. "Thank you Mr Black for saving my life" I gave him a small smile. He shook his head, "call me Malin and no need for the thanks, it's my job to save people" he gave me a small smile but his face was firm.

I tilted my head and frowned with confusion. Seeing my expression he chuckled and moved closer towards me. "Officer, Officer Malin at your service" he winked.
