When I walked back into the classroom, I was glad that the teacher gave them assignments for work on so their attention wasn't on me. Alright, there were a few people who looked up front their sheets.

I sat down at my desk, which was in front of Ace. I felt him lean close before he threw a folded piece of paper on my desk. I made sure that the teacher wasn't looking, and opened the crumpled piece of paper.

I looked at the teacher again, and when they were busy facing the whiteboard, I wrote a brief summary of what happened. I lightly threw it behind me, knowing that Ace would catch it. I heard him open it, and scribble something down before the paper was back on my desk.

I rolled my eyes and put the paper in my notebooks as the bell rang. Ace grabbed my hand and dragged me outside of the classroom.

I told him that I was going to miss class when I realized he was dragging me outside of the school. He just grunted, and said I can miss one class.

But knowing my parents, missing one class was a very big deal to them.

Ace stopped when we reached his car before he let go of my hand. He opened the door, and looked at me, telling me to get in,

"Why?"

"We're going somewhere," he simply replied. I sighed, hoping that wherever we were going was going to be good. I'm skipping class for this!

I already know that Ace isn't going to tell me where he planned on taking me, so I just sat silently in the car. I looked out the window, and my heart hammered against my chest when I felt his hand on my thigh. My brows furrowed together in confusion when I noticed he was driving away from town.

The car stopped in front of what looked like an old abandoned area, and I would be lying to myself if I said I wasn't afraid. I'm not a fan of horror movies, and I definitely don't plan on living one.

Ace got out of the car and walked over to my side before he opened the door. He extended hand which I immediately took. When he closed the door behind me, he led me to the fenced area. There was a part of it bent so people would walk through, so I'm guessing people have been here before.

"Don't worry, you're safe with me," Ace assured me when I squeezed his hand. He gave me that heart melting smile of his and helped me get through the fence.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see," he chuckled.

We kept walking until we reached a wall covered in vines. I looked at him with a confused look which he only laughed at. He moved the thick vines with his hand, and I realized that the vines were covering an archway.

We walked through, and that's when my eyes widened at the place in front of me. A large tree stood in the centre as small flowers of all kinds surround it. Attached to the tree was one of the best tree fort I've ever seen, and beneath that was a small picnic area with what looked like all my favourite kinds of foods.

I looked at Ace, and he has a proud smile on his face.

"How did you...?"

He laughed. "I have my ways."

I was actually glad that Ace and I skipped school for this. I had such a great time. He cooked, and bought my favourite foods and drinks, and we showed me the tree fort that he built with Levi and Ben. He said that he found this place a few years ago, and wanted to make it into something special.

The three of them spent a lot of time building this, and just a few days ago, they finished. I was the first one to come here and know about it besides them. I felt honoured that they trusted me with their little secret hideout.

Unfortunately, our alone time ended when Ben ran towards us with Levi following behind. Ace had an annoyed look on his face, but didn't say anything as Ben complained at how boring school was.

We all hung out in the tree fort until it was eventually time to go home. Ace drove me back and walked me took the front door.

"Goodnight, angel," he whispered, kissing me on my forehead. I smiled, and said goodnight before I walked into my house. I quickly took a shower and finished homework before my phone rang.

I looked at the Caller ID to see it was Sarah, but the weird this was, she wasn't the one who was calling.

"Max?"

"Yeah, it's me," he chuckled nervously.

"Why are you calling on Sarah's phone?"

"Kind of lost mine," he replied. "Anyways, I'm supposed to tell you that Sarah's going to a party this Saturday, and she wants you to go."

"Who's party is it?"

"You're not going to like it."

I groaned when he said it was Mindy's party. Fortunately, it wasn't at her place, it was at her friends. Nevertheless, I still didn't want to go. Max was about to hang up when I heard his sister screaming at him not to end it. I guessed they were fighting, so I just stayed silent until I heard Sarah speak.

"You're going. And you can bring your boyfriend as well."

"But—"

"NO BUTS. YOU'RE GOING TO THAT PARTY TO HELP ME FIND MY SOULMATE THAT I PRAY IS THERE."

"Fine."

"Thank you!" She cheered before she ended the call.

She's so lucky she's my best friend.

"Guess we're going." My head snapped to my window, and I narrowed my eyes at Ace who was standing there with a smirk.

"What are you doing here?"

He walked over to me, kicking his shoes off before sitting on my bed beside me. "Is it a crime that I want to see my girlfriend?"

Before I could reply, he smashed his lips against mine. My eyes flutter shut as I kissed him back. He somehow managed to move our position so that he was now hovering above me. He groaned, and leaned against his right hand as his left hand slips around my waist, drawing me closer to him.

He suddenly pulls away, but dips his head down and started peppering the right side of my neck with kisses. I don't know if it was just me, but the room started to feel hot. He made sure to slow his pace, making it all the more sensual. He works his way up my jawline before claiming my mouth once more.

Without warning, the bedroom door opens, and Ace and I looked at the door to see Ben's head peek through. He didn't look the slightest bit embarrassed.

"Oops, sorry. I've got to stop doing this," he smiled cheekily. "You guys keep doing what you're doing. Just make sure to keep it PG!" he yelled after slamming the door shut.

I covered my face with my hands, knowing I was blushing like a madman. I heard Ace growl, and mutter 'I'll kill him' before there was a small silence. I heard shuffling before someone grabbed my hands and pulled them away from my face gently.

Ace was standing beside my bed, smiling down at me. "I'll see you tomorrow," he said, giving me one last kiss before exiting through the window.
