- Ace King -

When Mia was finished changing after she had taken a shower, I told her to stay in the room. She asked what was wrong, but I lied, saying that everything was fine.

"Ace, you can't just keep me locked in here," she protested, trying to get out of the room, but I blocked her way.

"Yes I can. And you will," I demanded. Mia glared at me, crossing her arms over her chest before she sighed.

"Fine." She grabbed the door, and slammed it right in front of my face.

I'll deal with her later.

I wish I could tell Mia, but I didn't want her getting involved. Everything has been fine for years, so why now?

I groaned, and made my way back outside. If Mia wasn't here, I'd kill him the moment I saw him. When I walked outside, his yacht was already right beside mine.

"Louis," I spat, clearly showing him that I wasn't exited to see him.

"Aw, come on," he cooed. "smile for once."

"I smile, just not when you're around," I snapped. He chuckled, and jumped over to my yacht.

Great. Now I have to sanitize everything he touches.

Louis and I have always hated each other. I guess it was because our fathers hated each other as well.

It's a long story to explain why they hated each other, but long story short, Louis's dad, Fredric, forced my mom into doing something. And let's just say my dad wasn't happy about it. I was only seven when it happened.

I remember how my mom was too scared to go outside without dad by her side. But like always, he made sure that she wasn't harmed by anything, or anyone.

And that wasn't the only reason why my father and I hated them. He told me how Fredric was a manipulative person, and how he abused his money on other people. He also told me about his ex-girlfriend and what he did to her.

Fredric used to have a girlfriend, but the only reason he stayed with her was to get her pregnant so he had a heir to his business.

I pitied the woman when my father told me because she was too blinded by love that she would always forgive him for every screw up, or one night-stand he had.

Eventually, when she unfortunately gave birth to Louis, Fredric left her. Saying that there was no use for her anymore.

"Don't be so rude, Ace. Can I not see a friend once in a while?"

"Piss off," I growled.

He chuckled, and made his way over here until he stood a few feet in front of me. He lips were curved up into a hideous smirk as his eyes pierced into mine.

"Pretty girl, by the way. What's her name? Mia, is it? I—"

Before he could finish his sentence, I was already gripping his shirt tightly, wanting to chock him to death.

"Touch her, hell, even think about her, and I won't hesitate to kill you," I threaten, but he only smirked.

"You wouldn't want to do that," he spoke.

"Especially when she's here. Watching your every move."

My felt my body tense, and I let go of Louis who fell on the ground. My head snapped towards the inside of the yacht, and there into stood an angel.

My angel.

Her eyes were wide as they were trained on me, until they sifted to Louis who started to stand up.

I pushed Louis, causing him to fall again, and ran over to Mia. She didn't move from her spot, allowing me to come to her.

I don't really think she's surprised about me beating up a guy, or threatening him. I did it at times when they were flirting with her. Of course, she was there to stop before the violence got any worse.

"I thought I told you to stay in the room."

"I thought I told you that you can't keep me in there," she replied, frowning. "And why are you beating up the pizza delivery guy?"

"It's nothing," I said, glancing back at Louis who was now looking at us.

Mia huffed, and crossed her arms. "I want no more secrets, Ace."

I gritted my teeth as I looked at her. Was it really time to tell her? Maybe I can twist the truth just a bit. I sighed, and ran a hand though my hair. "Fine, but later."

Her eyes lit up like she was just given candy, and she kissed me on the cheek.

Someone clearing their throat got our attention.

"Nice to see you again, Mia," Louis smiled. I glared at him, and pulled her close to me. I didn't want him to be around her. But being the nice person she is, Mia smiled and greeted him as well.

There was an awkward silence until Mia thankfully broke it. "Um, what are you doing here?" she asked Louis.

"Well, Ace is one of my many best friends—"

"No I'm not."

"—and I just wanted to pay I'm a visit."

"Sure. Whatever you say," I heard Mia mutter before she walked back inside, leaving Louis and I by ourselves.

I glared at him, and told him to leave. Fortunately, he walked back to his yacht, stating that he was not leaving.

"But, I will be back," he assured, that stupid smirk still plastered on his stupid face.

When we got back home, almost everyone I like was there. Well, besides my dad, and Jacob. His parents were okay because they don't bother me.

When Jacob saw me, he smiled at Mia. I narrowed my eyes at him, my hold around her waist tightening. Levi and Ben chuckled and told us to sit down, saying that they were about to play Monopoly.

I didn't like how Jacob and Mia were acting so close. I guess he noticed, so he shyly smiled at me.

"I know, she's all yours," he stated. "And you do know I'm gay, right?"

I was surprised to say the least, but I didn't care. He was still male, and I didn't want any other male going near her except me. But, realizing Jacobs was gay, it made me like him a bit more knowing that he wasn't trying to get in her pants.

Still, I didn't trust him fully like I do with Levi and Ben.

Mrs White told us that we were all going to have dinner soon. And I knew that she and my mom went crazy, and cook a lot of things.

Levi and Ben knew that I had to talk to them when everyone was eating dinner. While everyone was happily enjoying the food and chatting, I told Levi and Ben about Louis, and what happened.

I knew they were both angry. Like I said before, Mia was like their sister to them. And they wouldn't let anyone harm her. They would die before they let that happen.

"So, are you going to tell her?" Ben question.

"Maybe?" I honestly don't know. "I could twist the truth just a bit."

"You're going to have to tell her eventually," Levi added.

I didn't want to, but he was right. I would have to tell her soon. I can't keep this a secret for the rest of my life. She'll probably hate me for it, and I didn't want that. I didn't want her to be scared of me like everyone else was.

It would tear me to shreds.

"Ace?"

We all turned to see Mia smiling towards us. She walked towards me and grabbed my hand with hers.

"Why aren't you guys with us?" she asked.

"We're just talking,"Ben replied.

Mia looked at us, uncertain, but nodded. I kissed her on her forehead, and told her that we will be joining shortly. Mia blushed, and nodded. Once she was out of sight, I looked to see Levi with a smirk, and Ben wiggling is eyebrows.

"Shut up," I hissed, and they just laughed.

We all talked for a bit until the doorbell rang. My mom told me to get it, and so I did. Who else were we missing? I sure as hell hope that this is not what Louis said when he stated that he'd be back. Besides, my dad wouldn't let Fredric step foot into the house.

My mother, even though it's been years and she's okay now, I know a part of her is still afraid that he'll do it again.

Ben joined the others saying that he was hungry, and that food was way more important than opening the door while Levi stayed with me.

My ways widened, and I knew my father asked them to join us the moment I saw their face.

"Mindy."
