《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 65 - Princess and Stones

"Hold on a second. Where are we?" I asked the driver after we landed.

He turned back and laughed, looking from Vidal to me.

"Welcome to the capital city of France, the city of love, Paris." The pilot told me.

I gasped and looked over at Vivi who smiled down at me and winked.

"No way!" I said, looking out at the world around me. I was in Paris.

"You ready, Mon Amour?" Vidal asked me.

"Oh my goodness! Yes! Thank you, Mister Pilot!" I said, waving at the pilot as he smiled and walked away.

"No problem, Mademoiselle." He said.

"Oh my goodness, Vivi!" I cheered, throwing my arms around my man.

I felt like a princess. Clearly, Vivi had planned this himself. I wondered why though.

"You planned this yourself, didn't you?" I asked him.

"I may have hinted that we'd want to come here." He said, denying that he was the one who planned the trip.

"Are you sure you didn't plan this yourself?" I asked him.

"I'm sure." He said.

"Ok! Let's go! Is there a hotel reservation?!" I asked.

"There is. Hold on, let me just figure out which hotel." He smiled, looking down at his phone.

He figured it out and then he lead me out to the street where there was a driver ready to take us to our hotel. It was one of those big, famous people cars. It was a black van, super spacious and comfortable.

"Wow!" I said, feeling like I was some sort of princess. I was being treated like one for sure.

"Ready. I think you're going to love the suite." Vidal said to me.

"What?! You got us a suite?!" I asked.

"I did. Anything for my Kiwi." He smiled at me.

I looked out the window. Paris had very different vibes. It was more of a romantic setting. Things were just so pretty and quite historical. It was amazing. It almost felt like I was inside a story.

We got to the hotel and then once Vivi checked in, a man escorted us to a suite pretty high up in the hotel. And when we got there, Vivi led me to the window. My jaw dropped when he drew back the curtains.

"No!" I squealed.

"Yes." He laughed.

"Oh my goodness!" I giggled, throwing my arms around Vivi.

How did I get this lucky?

"Merci." Vivi said to the man who brought us up.

"Your french is bad." I giggled, still so emotional about this.

The suite was big and so pretty.

"Hey, that's not very nice." He said to me.

I laughed and hugged him tighter, waiting for the man to leave us there in the suite so I could start kissing Vivi the way I wanted to. As soon as the door shut behind the man, I connected our lips.

When I pulled away, I looked into his kind Hazel eyes.

"I feel like the luckiest girl in the world." I told him. "I feel like... like a literal princess!"

"Good. You should feel like a princess, baby." He said to me.

"I know you planned this." I said to him.

"Alright. I did. But I just thought we could enjoy our freedom before the business gets more stressful." He told me.

"I'm so happy you thought of this! But you really didn't have to do so much!" I smiled.

"I did." He argued.

"I promise you didn't. I love you so much, and just being around you is enough to keep me happy forever." I told him.

"I wanted to see you lose yourself in the happiness." He told me.

"Mhm.... and why is that, Vidal?" I asked him.

"Because you're adorable when you're happy. You bounce around, your eyes light up and those little cheeks get a little rosy too." He told me.

I smiled and kissed his perfect lips.

"Let's get some sleep before morning, Kiwi. We've got lots to do... would you like breakfast in bed, or do you want to go out and find somewhere to have breakfast?" He asked me.

"Uhm... let's go out!" I giggled, looking around at the suite.

The suite was so beautiful. It gave me a happy peaceful feeling. I wondered if I'd ever get to design a place like this for the company.

"Oh my goodness. I hope that some hotel industry asks to partner with us for interior design! That would be so fun!" I said.

"I think we can make that happen." He said, kissing my forehead.

"You know someone?" I asked.

"Well, Micah does. Uncle Devan knew them. They're really great people and they'd be good partners." Vivi told me.

"That's awesome!" I smiled, getting excited.

"Come on. Let's go to sleep, baby. I'm going to wake you up before it gets light out and then we can go get breakfast after a walk. How does that sound?" He asked me.

"Sounds perfect. Maybe we can see the sunrise." I smiled, thinking how perfect that would be.

"Maybe." He smiled. "We'll try to catch it."

"Yes, please!" I giggled, getting excited.

"Alright. Let's get cleaned up and change for the night." He laughed.

"Can we take a bath? Together." I asked.

"If that's what my Kiwi wants." He nodded.

"She does." I laughed.

"Alright. Let's go." He smiled, taking me to the beautiful bathroom.

We filled the tub with warm water, and Vivi added bubbles.

He stripped and got in, giving me a view I'd never forget. He smiled up at me and he winked.

"Like what you see?" He asked me.

"I do." I smiled, turning red.

"Aren't you gonna join me?" He asked.

"Yes." I nodded, slowly stripping myself of my clothing and giving him a show.

As soon as I was close enough for him to grab me, he did and he pulled me carefully into the tub and captured my lips in a passionate kiss.

"God, I love you so much." He said to me, his hands roaming my body freely and without a care in the world.

"I love you." I giggled.

"How do you feel about a massage?" Vivi asked me.

"Vivi, I'm never going to say no to that." I laughed.

"Good." He smiled.

"As soon as we're out of here and in bed, I'll give you a foot massage and a back massage." He told me, and he did exactly that.

We got in bed and he gave me a relaxing massage, then he laid beside me and he started kissing all over my face. Vivi was always affectionate, always showing me how much he loved touching me, kissing me and always telling me how much he loved me. We had a minor problem with that at the beginning of this relationship, but he promised never to do anything like that again, and he stayed true to his word.

What I loved most is that even when others were around, he didn't mind showering me with affection. It made me feel like he wanted the world to know I was his and only his. I wanted the world to know that too. The way he would grab me and kiss all over my face even if there were a bunch of people around made me feel like I was the only girl he'd ever see. Vidal was the best.

After a relaxing night in the arms of my love. I woke up to kissed all over my face again. I giggled and pushed him away as soon as I was conscious.

"Come back to me, Kiwi." He whispered, still trying to wake me up.

"I'm up. I'm here." I giggled.

"Kiss me then." He told me.

I grabbed his head and I kissed him like he wanted. I pulled away after a little while though, wanting to snuggle into the warm blankets.

"Ok. Time for our morning walk. Are you ready?" He asked me.

"No. But I will be in ten minutes." I said to him.

"Alright good. Get ready." He told me.

I got up and kissed him one last time before I grabbed a change of clothes out of my bag and put them on. It was raining outside, so I put on my raincoat and Vivi grabbed an Umbrella for us once he was ready.

We went out and into the beautiful lit up streets. It was still dark out, and it was raining, but that almost added to the beauty of the walk. There were some birds chirping here and there, but it was mostly quiet, only the sound of the falling raindrops and our footsteps echoing through the streets.

There were little to no people around, and that was also nice. Vivi hailed a cab, and he drove us to the Eiffel tower. We went under it and we stood there, watching as the world around us got lighter. The world around us lit up as the sun rose. It was a beautiful sight to see. Especially when I got to stand in the arms of the love of my life and hear him whisper sweet nothings in my ear.

"I love you so much, Kiara." He told me, making me melt into his chest. "I can't wait to spend every day waking up beside you and both of us going to work together. We'll live on the Island in our little cabin or loft or whatever it classifies as. Maybe one day we'll have a little princess with your pretty eyes."

"Aw, what if I want her to have your pretty eyes?" I asked him.

"Too bad. She can have my hair if you'd like, but I want her to have these pretty green eyes." He said, stroking my cheek and kissing me from the weird angle we were sitting in.

"You'll be with me forever. Promise?" I asked him.

"Yes. I promise. I'll be with you for as long as I live. If I lose you I'll never move on anyway. You're my soulmate." He whispered to me. "But let's not think about losing anything right now. I want to tell you something."

"What is it?" I asked him.

"The day we first met in the hospital, I had work that day.... I was working at a construction site with the company I worked for. I was helping them move some stuff, when I found a beautiful green stone. It matches your eyes, actually, but I didn't know that at the time. I put it in my backpack and I didn't find it until I remembered it when I found another rock. The other rock was in the sand when we first went to the beach on the island." He told me.

"Ok..." I nodded, looking into his pretty eyes.

"It was a white stone. And that was the first day you spoke to me." He told me, a bright smile forming on his face.

"Ok." I nodded.

"Next, I found a black stone on the day Theo yelled at me, the first time I took you to the wildlife center." He told me, and I remembered him leaning down when he was feeling the wolves and picking something up.

"You were feeding the wolves... right?" I asked.

"Yeah." He nodded.

"Then?" I asked.

"Then I hound another pale brown stone, it was smooth, it was pretty, it was at the pond where we took pictures with dad that day." He told me.

"Ok...?" I asked.

"I kept them.... in this box." He told me, taking out the wooden box that I was so curious about.

"And?" I asked him.

"And I took them to the jeweler the day you went shopping with Arabella for the apartment." He told me.

"You did...." I said, opening the small wooden box.

But what I saw wasn't a small rock collection. It was a ring, with a green stone in the center where normally a diamond would sit. Around it were small white stones in a ring around the green stone. And then sitting against the band was three small black stones and one beige stone on each side of the band. It was a ring that meant so much to me. Before I could even wrap my head around what I was looking at, Vivi interrupted my thoughts.

"Marry me, Kiwi. Be my wife." He whispered in my ear, and I turned to see him on his knee in front of me.

I felt the tears build in my eyes and I started nodding, putting the beautiful ring on my finger and collapsing in his arms. He put the box back in his big jacket pocket and he grabbed my head, moving it in front of his so he could kiss me. We stood up and he just kept kissing me.

"Hello, Fiancée." He smiled.

"I love you." I cried.

"And I love you, Kiara." He said to me and I started shaking.

"Who knew about this?" I asked him.

"Everyone." He smiled, kissing my forehead. "All the girls are already planning the wedding, Sweetheart."

"Ok... but I get to decide the date." I insisted.

"Alright. You can decide." He told me.

"Your birthday." She said to me.

"My birthday?" He asked me in confusion.

"Yes!" She cheered, jumping up and down.

"I mean, if that's really what you want, we can do that. But are you sure you want that? We could make it two weeks later on the day I met you." He said softly.

"No. Your birthday." I insisted.

"Why?" He asked.

"I just... want to play with Theo's feeling a little bit... maybe that's mean, but it'll make it even better." I said.

"Wait, what? Explain." Vidal said.

"I just want a wedding party. I'll wear a white dress, we'll take pictures and we'll all gather and have the most fun ever... but on the day we actually get married, I want to just go sign the marriage papers or whatever, and we'll do that on the day we met. If you want, we can celebrate on that day too." I said softly.

"Alright. Let's do that." Vidal smiled. "So, will Mabel show up that day?"

"She will... we'll have our wedding that day, just because Theo is going to be a little... left out... but I want to make it about him." I said.

"I love the way your mind works." He smiled, kissing my forehead.

"So we have the wedding on Theo and I's birthday, but the actual official anniversary will be the day we met?" He asked.

"Yup." I nodded.

"And our birthday will be like a tease Theo kind of event.... he's going to be so upset with me for picking that day... Because his birthday will be a reminder of how I have a girl and he's still lonely." He said.

"And then you'll give a little speech to the other birthday boy, and his girl will come out of nowhere and surprise him. And actually, let's have a celebration the day we actually get married. I want Mabel to actually witness everything." I smiled.

"Alright." Vivi agreed.

"I love you, Vivi. Thank you for saving me, making me who I am today, and giving me the best family that ever existed." I smiled.

"Thank you for coming into my life and making it worth living, baby. I love you." He said to me.

I giggled and looked out to see that we'd missed the sunrise, but who really cares when you just got engaged?
