《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 62 - Expressions and Bunnies

Kiara was with all the girls at Aunt Em's shop and I was with Theo. I was helping him feed the wolves. I was heading home after the day with Theo and I decided to call my mother and see how they were all doing. I was planning on setting something up for when Kiara came home and I wanted to know when she was coming.

I called Momma, but I just wasn't expecting to be yelled at. Momma picked up and then immediately started scolding me.

"Vidal Ferrari! What on earth is your problem?!" Momma yelled.

"What? What did I do?" I asked her.

"Why is Kiara asking us how to know if a guy loves her?!" Momma growled.

"What? Why would she ask that?" I asked in confusion.

"Maybe because she's been waiting for you to tell her that you love her!" Momma yelled.

I tried thinking back to telling her I loved her and realized if I ever did, she wasn't exactly conscious. I suddenly felt really guilty. I had a lot of making up to do.

"She knows I love her." I tried excusing myself.

"She knows, but you saying it will make it feel real for her. It's important." Momma said angrily.

"I know. I'll fix this. I swear." I said.

"You better. That girl has been through so much and she doesn't deserve to feel like you don't love her." Momma said to me.

"I do love her! I love her more than anything!" I said.

"Then maybe you should've said that to her already." Momma said angrily.

"Momma. Don't be upset with me, please. I'll fix things immediately with Kiara." I said.

"Good. Talk to me when the girl knows you love her." Momma told me, hanging up on me.

I had just left the wildlife park, but I needed Theo now. So I called him.

"Hey, bro." He said.

"Theo... are you still at the park?" I asked him.

"I am. Why?" He asked.

"I need your help." I told him.

"With what?" He asked me.

"I need to find Kiara a bunny." I said.

"What did you do?" He laughed.

"I messed up pretty badly." I sighed.

"Alright. You can explain when you get here, I have the perfect little guy for her." Theo said to me.

I drove back to the wildlife park and Theo had a perfect little bunny. It was the tiniest creature I'd ever seen in my life. It was white, and it had little brown and black patches on it.

"It's a boy?" I asked.

"Yeah." He nodded, handing him to me.

"God, I already love him." I said, holding the tiny creature in the palm of my hand. "She's going to melt."

He chuckled and grabbed a tiny kitten.

"What? What's the cat for?" I asked him.

"Nana Lucie. Papa Dev's been asking me to get her a kitten for the past week. She's always wanted one." Theo told me.

I smiled and nodded, looking down at my bunny.

Ok, I'm losing it. It's not my bunny it's Kiara's. Kiara's bunny. Kiara's very fluffy bunny.... and cute.... and tiny.... and soft.... and... oh, my God.... Relax, Vidal.

We headed towards the mansion and I ran towards the bedroom.

I was expecting Kiara to go straight to our apartment, but she was in our bedroom in the mansion.

I burst into the room and then saw her and immediately hid the little guy behind my back.

"What's in your hand....?" She said, frowning at me.

"Nothing." I said, backing away and heading towards the closet.

"Tell me." She insisted.

"I will.... tomorrow." I said to her.

"No... what is it? Why are you hiding it from me?" She asked me.

"It's... I... We have to talk... I'll show you later." I said softly, backing into the closet as she approached me.

"What do we have to talk about?" She asked me.

"Something important." I told her. "But forget that for a second. Will you please go on a little date with me tonight?"

"Yes." She nodded.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Yup. When?" She asked me.

"You've got an hour. Will you get all dolled up for me?" I asked her.

"Yes." She nodded her head, turning and rushing out the door, calling for Aunt Em.

I put the little guy in a small box and I grabbed the small bag that Theo had given me. It had some sort of hay stuff that he said the bunny should eat. I put the little guy in a small basket, and I put some of his food with him.

I grabbed my backpack and threw in a bunch of fairy lights in it, and then I grabbed the picnic cushions that Momma and Dad use for their picnic dates and I snuck out of the mansion.

I went straight to the building we'd designated for my business and I went up to the roof. Rooftops were like the best places for this kind of thing. The city view and the stars made it so beautiful. I set up the fairy lights around the little swing chair. It was more of a daybed in all honesty. It would be perfect for this expression of love.

I quickly set up the area and made it look all romantic and off to Angel's I went to get us Kiara's favourite food. I bought the brownies she loved, an assortment of fruits with lots of kiwis. Then for the meal, I bought us some spicy chicken kebabs with rice and salad.

The little bunny was with me every step of the way.

I went back home to Kiara and left the bunny in the back of the car where she wouldn't see him. I also brought a silk cloth to blindfold my girl with. She hadn't seen the building yet and I wanted it to be a surprise for her.

I reached the mansion and I went to the bedroom, I found Kiara looking sexy in her little white, off-shoulder long sleeve body con dress. I walked over to her as she examined herself in the mirror and I pulled her against my chest. She smiled into the mirror at the sight of us and I started kissing on her neck, making her giggle and melt into me.

How have I still not told her how much I love her? God, I'm so stupid.

"Am I overdressed?" She asked me.

"Nope. It's just going to be us too. So I'll just dress up to match you, how about that?" I asked her.

She giggled and nodded her head, following me into the closet and helping me pick out an outfit to go with her gorgeous dress.

Once I was dressed, I grabbed her hand and I took her to the car. I helped her in, buckled her in and then I got into my side of the car.

"Is smells delicious in here." She said to me.

"I got your favourite stuff. I wanted to have a relaxing, rooftop dinner with you." I said to her.

"And we're gonna talk?" She asked me.

"Yup." I nodded.

"About what?" She questioned.

"About us." I told her.

"Nothing is wrong, right?" She asked.

"Everything is perfect." I said to her, kissing her forehead.

"Alright." She giggled.

"Will you put a blindfold on for me, Amore?" I asked her.

"Yes." She nodded, taking the silk cloth and wrapping it around her head to cover her eyes.

When we arrived at the building, I stopped the car and then I walked around to her side of it. I unbuckled her and I took her hand, helping her out of the car.

I grabbed our takeout and I grabbed the little bunny who was still in his basket. I held Kiara's hand with my free hand and I lead her to the elevators and then up we went to the roof. When we arrived on the roof, I put our stuff down and then I pulled her blindfold off. She looked around in awe and I concealed the bunny, carrying his basket over to the swinging chair and put him beside it. Then I brought Kiara over to the swing and sat her down.

She relaxed and made grabby hands at me. I chuckled and got on the daybed beside her. She held my head close to her heart and she played with my hair.

"I've been an idiot, Kiara." I said to her.

"You have?" She asked me.

"Yup. Because I've been looking for love for years." I said to her and she looked at me expectantly, seeming kind of scared. "I was so frustrated, thinking I'd never meet a woman that would make me feel loved and who I could love with all my heart."

She nodded, waiting for me to finish.

"But as you know. I met the perfect girl in a hospital when I went to give my uncle food." I said to her, watching her get emotional. "I met that perfect girl and together, we grew. I became more of a man and less of a boy. And she slowly got better and fought her demons."

"And?" She asked.

"And I fell so deeply in love that I didn't know what to do with myself." I told her. "I wanted to kiss her so badly but at a certain point in time, I couldn't do that. And then I finally was able to kiss her and tell her how I felt about her. But I was an idiot, and I forgot to speak the three words that describe perfectly how I feel."

"Are you just saying that because someone told you what I said at the shop today?" She said, sighing and looking away.

"No. I'm not." I said to her, turning her head back to face me and kissing her pretty lips. "Take your phone out for me."

She took her phone out and she looked at me in confusion.

"Amore Mio. Look it up... it's Italian." I said to her.

She looked it up and then she looked up at me with tears in her eyes.

"I was so used to not expressing my feelings, that I forgot to tell the woman that I love how I feel about her. Which is wrong. I'm an idiot. I'm sorry, baby." I said to her.

"Ok..." She said, raising an eyebrow at me.

I chuckled and pulled her body closer to me.

"I love you. I love you with all my heart and soul. You're my everything, Kiara. My entire world. I love you so much." I said to her, kissing her repeatedly on her soft lips.

"And you're not just saying it because they told you to?" She asked me.

"Of course not, baby. Have I not made you feel loved?" I asked her. "I can tone up the affection if you'd like."

"N-no... please don't." She giggled.

"I'm sorry, My Love." I said to her.

"No... don't be. You're just stupid sometimes." She chuckled.

"You're right. I am." I said to her.

"You promise me that there will be no secrets between us, no holding anything back?" She asked me.

"I promise you. I swear to you, I'll stop being an idiot from now on. Ok?" I said to her.

"Ok." She giggled.

I still wanted my girl to myself, so I didn't show her the bunny just yet.

"Alright. Ready to see all the delicious food that I bought for us?" I asked her.

"Yes!" She cheered, sitting up as I grabbed the bag of food and checked on the bunny.

I pulled out all the takeout boxes and showed her all the food. She looked through all the food and she was in love.

"Yes! Thank you!" She said, grabbing a fork and digging in.

"Baby, spoons would be logical..." I said.

"Shut up, forks are superior." She told her.

I chuckled and looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"What?" She asked, looking at me. "You can stab things."

"Oh... that's not violent at all." I said, making her giggle.

She had a habit of eating everything with forks instead of spoons. I wouldn't be surprised if she tried using a fork for her soup one day.

After we ate and she was stuffed, I got up and turned on some music.

"Dance with me under the stars." I said to her.

She smiled and took my hand. We danced and sang along to the songs together. Then she sighed, resting against my chest and just relaxing. That's how I always wanted my Kiwi. Relaxed and happy.

"I got you something special." I said to her.

"You did?" She asked me.

"Yeah." I smiled, going to the swing and grabbing the little basket he was in. I picked the little guy up and I looked back at her.

"Close your eyes for me, Kiwi." I said to her.

"Oh... ok." She said, closing her eyes.

I walked over to her and wrapped my free arm around her waist.

"Look, baby." I said to her, taking her hand and placing it on the bunny's back.

She gasped and opened her eyes.

"Oh my goodness!" She screeched, taking him from my hand. "He's so pretty, and tiny and... oh my goodness, he's my cute baby!"

I chuckled and watched her start to cry over how cute he was. I held her tightly as she had her little 'cuteness breakdown'. Her words, not mine.

She named the little guy in an instant. Saying that the only possible name for him was Splash. She said it was because he looked like he was white but splashed with colour.

"You ready to see where we are?" I asked her.

"Yes!" She said, smiling down at Splash.

I lead her back to the elevator and then we took it down to the top floor which was directly below us. She looked around and gasped, looking into the empty rooms and getting excited.

"No way! Is this the building for the business?" She asked me.

"Yes." I nodded.

"Oh my God! This is the best day of my life!" She giggled, rushing into the rooms and looking around. I watched how her eyes examined every little detail, forming plans in her head for how she'd set everything up.

"It's perfect!" She screeched.

"I'm so happy you like it." I smiled.

"Can I see the rest of the building?" She asked me.

"Of course." I said to her, and I proceeded to show her every room in the building.

She was so happy, blabbering on about everything and petting Splash the whole time. We went home and even in the car and in the shower and in bed, she didn't stop talking about how excited she was.

"Come on." I said. "Let's sleep, Kiwi."

"Where's Splash?" She asked me.

"I put him in the little basket for now." I said to her, pointing at his little corner.

"Tomorrow.... I wanna go shopping with the girls so we can start designing the rooms for the business." She said to me.

"Alright. Take my credit card from my wallet before you go, baby. I'm probably going to be staying here around the house all day." I said to her.

"Ok. I love you, Vivi." She said softly.

"I love you too, Kiwi." I said, leaning in and kissing her soft lips.

Seeing Kiara happy made me happy. Just that pretty smile was enough to brighten my mood instantly. I have to admit I did love that bunny just as much as her. He was just too cute.

I also couldn't wait to see what she'd do with the offices. I felt like finally, things had fallen into place in our relationship. I made a promise to stop being stupid and if that meant to think a million times about every decision I made, I wouldn't repeat anything like not telling her I love her again.
