《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 60 - Sisters and Cuddles

I was absolutely frozen, sitting in Vivi's lap in the middle of this snowstorm.
"Hey, Kiwi. Go sit with the girls for a second. I'm going to the basement with the guys to see if we can fix the generator." He said to me.
Eleanor was asleep in my arms and Mia and Mila were in Ari's arms. All three of them had big blankets over them and they were sound asleep.
"Ok. Take me to Ari." I said.
Vidal stood up and carried me over to Ari, carefully placing me on a cushion beside her and wrapping me up in another blanket.
"Hey, Kiara." Ari said.
"Yeah?" I asked, looking up at her.
She handed me three rings identical to the ones on our fingers. The sister ones.
"Oh my goodness! You wanna give them the rings now?" I asked her in as quiet of a voice as I could muster through my excitement.
"Yes. But first we have to talk to them and sort of introduce them to... us. I want them to feel welcome." She smiled, looking down at her daughters lovingly.
"Alright. Can we gather around closer to the fire?" I asked.
"Yes, please." She said to me.
We shuffled closer to the fire where Ava was sitting and she looked up at us with a smile.
"Hey." She smiled at us.
"Hi." I giggled and she took one of the girls from Ari's arms.
"So... we have something for you." Ari said softly.
"Oh... really? What is it?" Ava asked, shivering and then shuffling closer to us.
"Well... I've always been the only girl around, until Kiara came along. Not the only girl, but the only girl my age." Ari said.
I nodded.
"That must've been annoying." Ava chuckled.
"It was pretty annoying." Ari admitted. "That's why I always wanted sisters. And I dreamed of the day that Gabe and my brother and cousins would find their soulmates so that they'd be my sisters." Ari said.
Ava smiled and looked over at Gabriel.
"I can tell Gabe loves you." I smiled at her.
"I sure hope he does." Ava chuckled.
"So he's said that he does?" Ari asked.
"Yeah." She giggled with a nod.
"And what about you? Do you feel the same?" I asked.
"I do." She nodded. "I tell him that all the time. He's such a cutie." She smiled.
"Well... then you accept the title of sister?" Ari asked.
"Of course. I'd be honoured to be your sister. You two are like the sweetest girls I've met. I've never had any siblings, I have more cousins than can be counted, but they're all overseas." She chuckled.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah. My grandfather is Indian and he married an American woman. They had my father and his ten siblings. Which is super cool, and they all lived in India. But my father moved to America to study and he built our little family over here. We rarely get to go back because it's so expensive." She explained.
"Oh... so how did you end up in Canada?" Ari asked her.
"I... things weren't the best for me down in the states. I finished high school there and I wasn't involved with the best people. Everything sort of blew up in terms of my social life at the end of my senior year, and.... well, I ran away in a sense. I needed a change of environment and the medical school here had an amazing program. So I just decided it was the best place for me." She explained.

"I see... what about your parents? How did they feel about it?" Ari asked.
"They were happy for me. My parents knew what happened to me and they knew I needed my distance from the community around us. So I just visited them every year in the summer." She explained.
"That's nice. Do you think they'd ever move here?" Ari asked.
"I think when I tell them that I'm staying here forever, I'll be able to get them to consider moving here." She explained.
"It's an amazing place to live. And you know Momma would hook them up with jobs right away if they wanted." Ari said.
"We'll see what happens. I think I'll get them to visit for a little while and then they'll definitely be sold on the idea. It's gorgeous here!" Ava smiled.
"It is very pretty." Arabella agreed.
"Thanks for being so sweet to me guys. I never really had good female friends who actually stood by me when things got hard." She said softly.
"It's their loss." Ari said and I leaned in to give Ava a hug.
"I guess so..." She shrugged.
"So... we have something for you." Arabella said.
"What is it?" Ava asked.
"This." I said, putting the small metal ring in her hand.
Ava gasped and looked down at it in amazement.
"It's beautiful!" She said.
"Look inside." Ari said.
She looked at the engraved words and she pouted at us.
"Aw. That's so sweet! Thank you so much!" Ava said and she put the ring around her finger.
Then Ari and I showed her that we had ones too.
"Next, Juliet." I said.
"Ok, let's go. Join us, Ava." Ari said, and I took Ava's hand.
We got up and slowly walked to the couch, trying not to lose warmth through the blankets we had on us.
Juliet saw our weird waddle walk from inside the blankets, each with a sleeping child in our arms and she started laughing at us. When we plopped down around her, she smiled, leaning against me and looking down at Eleanor lovingly.
"She's adorable." I smiled.
Juliet smiled at me and then at her daughter.
"You did a good job raising this little one. She's such a little smarty pants." I laughed.
"I don't know where she gets it from. She might as well be Remi's daughter." Juliet chuckled.
"She is his daughter no matter how she came into the world." I said with a smile, hugging my new sister. "And she's my adorable niece."
"She loves you and Vidal, you know. She kept talking about Cupcake and Firefly." Juliet said.
I laughed and looked down at the sleeping kid.
"We have something for you." Arabella said softly.
"You do?" Juliet asked.
All three of us nodded, even Ava.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Well, since you and Remi are official... we were hoping that you'd accept the title of sister." Ari said.
"Of course. I've never gotten that proper sisterly bond before." Juliet said softly.
"You haven't?" Ari asked.
"No. I had a sister before I got married, but that wasn't a real sisterly relationship. That isn't how sisters should be with each other." Juliet sighed sadly.
"What did she do?" Ava asked, taking Juliet's hand.
"Well, I was engaged to the man I married and I didn't want to be engaged. He was a horrible guy who couldn't keep it in his pants and she slept with him before our wedding. I mean, I'd expect at least my sister not to sleep with my husband." Juliet said, shaking her head.

"Uhm.... What?!" Ari and Ava both said at the same time, looking furious.
I felt so hurt for Juliet. It was clear she wanted nothing to do with that man.
"He was a horrible guy, what can I say? But I didn't have a choice." Juliet told us.
"How old we're you when you married him?" Ari asked.
"I was only sixteen." She sighed, brushing hair out of her daughter's face. "I was young, naive and I made mistakes. But my daughter is blameless."
"Of course and so are you." I told her, hugging her tightly.
"I kind of feel bad, you know. All of you came to the men in this family and you were still pure, I couldn't be that way for Remi and it hurts sometimes." Juliet sighed.
"Hey. You're just as pure as any of us." Ava said.
"I wish Remi could be my first." Juliet said, looking down at her hands.
"Will he be the first man you wanted to sleep with?" Ari asked.
"Of course." Juliet nodded.
"Then he is your first." Ava said softly.
"Sometimes I feel guilty for even allowing myself to be with Romeo. He really spoils us and I don't deserve such an amazing man." Juliet said, smiling at Romeo who winked back at her.
"Here's the thing, Juliet. He's always been a boy. A silly, reckless boy. Never the man I see today, who treats Eleanor like she's his entire world. He's ready to take anything on just to make you two happy. It's not about purity or who deserves what. It's about how he feels and how you feel too. He's never going to be like that for anyone else. You two were made for each other." Arabella said.
"Well, I love him with every last cell in my body." Juliet chuckled.
Romeo walked over to us and he knelt down, kissing Juliet and then looking down at Eleanor in my lap.
"Come to Daddy, my little flower." He said softly, picking his sleeping daughter up off my lap and carrying her away in his arms, wrapping two blankets around her as he held her tightly.
"That's his baby girl. No one else's. You don't have to worry about anything, Juliet, he's got everything under control and he loves you both with all his heart." I told her.
She smiled at me and she watched Romeo sit down by the fire with Eleanor in his lap.
"We have something for you." I said softly, handing her the ring.
"Oh my God! It's so pretty!" She said softly. "Thank you! What is it for?"
"Read the engraving inside it." Ari said softly.
She turned the ring under the light and then smiled.
"Aw, thanks guys, I'm honoured." She said, hugging us all in one tight group hug.
"Love you, Juliet." Ari said.
"Aw, I love you guys too." She smiled, a tear falling from her eye.
"Aw, don't cry." I said, wiping her tear away.
"Sorry, I've just never felt so... at home, or welcomed." She said.
"We'll, you're home now, Juliet." I told her, leaning against her.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"Now. Will you help us welcome Rosalie?" Ari asked.
"Sure. Where is she?" Juliet asked.
"Right there. Looking for another blanket with Aunt Em." Ari pointed.
Ava smiled.
"Hey, Rosalie! Come cuddle!" Ava called out with a smile.
Rosalie turned to us and smiled softly through her sad expression. Aunt Em wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and then she scurried over to us.
"Hey guys." She said softly.
"Hi." I smiled, hugging her.
"What's your name?" She asked me.
"I'm Kiara." I smiled.
She smiled at me and then looked at Juliet.
"And you're Juliet, right?" Rosalie asked.
"Yes." Juliet nodded.
"I'm Ava." Ava said.
"Cool and Kiara is with the redhead, Vidal.... Uhm Juliet is with Romeo, obviously." Rosalie chuckled. "And Ava you're with.... Gabriel?"
"Yup." Ava nodded her head.
"Alright. I think I've almost figured everyone out." She laughed nervously.
"No rush." Ari smiled. "But we did have something for you since you're officially part of our little family."
"Little?" Rosalie chuckled.
"Alright. Maybe it's big." Ari admitted. "But anyways. You're our sister now. One of us. You can always turn to us whenever you'd like. Even if you don't end up with any of the guys."
Rosalie chuckled and she looked up at the kitchen where all the guys were gathered.
"Thanks guys." Rosalie smiled.
"We wanted you to know that.... But like, please, feel free to claim poor Evan over there." Ari laughed, seeing how Evan was staring at Rosalie.
"What.... Isn't he married?" Rosalie asked.
"What?" Ari said in confusion.
"Never mind." Rosalie said.
"Anyways... we have something for you to officially welcome you to our group." Ari said.
"What is it?" Rosalie asked.
"Here." I said, handing her the ring.
"Oh wow.... This is such a pretty ring." Rosalie said.
"Read the words engraved inside." Ava said.
Rosalie read them and then she smiled, hugging us all tightly.
"Thank you." She said.
"No need to thank us." I smiled.
"So what does this mean now?" She asked.
"It means that we're going to have so much fun! Girls nights! Dance parties! Going out together! Shopping! Oh my God! This is what I've waited for my whole life, I'm so happy!" Ari cheered. "Thank you all for being the perfect sisters!"
We all threw our arms around Ari and she giggled, getting slightly smushed between us.
"We're missing one sister." Ari said, looking at her brother who was still sulking.
"We'll find his girl, don't worry." I said to Ari.
She nodded with a smile and then we all made a tighter circle.
"Cuddle time! It's freezing!" Ari said, resting against Rosalie.
We all sort of piled up in a big cuddle and attempted to stay warm together. I was just so happy to be a part of this family and this beautiful group of amazing girls who would stick by me in any situation.
