《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 46 - Redecoration and Aunt Em

"Oh my God, did you see his face?!" Ari laughed her head off, placing the bag full of new things for the house by the door. We both took our shoes off, laughing about Vivi's reaction to a guy hitting on us both.
"He's a cutie." I laughed.
"He is." She laughed, making her way to the fridge and grabbing a leftover box of strawberries.
"Can I eat some of these?" She asked me.
"Of course." I giggled.
"This is your first time away from Vidal like this, huh?" She asked me.
"Yup." I smiled, feeling proud of myself for handling it so well.
I was so excited to surprise him with our redecoration and rearrangement of the apartment, that I didn't mind him being gone. Besides, I didn't have to be all alone with my thoughts and I trusted Ari with my life.
"Alright. What do we do first?" She asked me.
"We call all the girls." I smiled.
"What?" She asked.
"Like Fifi, Momma, Nana Lucie and Nana Bella and also... let's call Aunt Emelia." I said with a smile.
"Really?!" Ari asked in excitement.
"Yes. I want to meet her and we could use some help." I smiled.
"Yes! We can listen to music and sing with horrible voices, dance around, eat strawberries and redecorate!" Ari giggled.
"Sounds amazing!" I laughed.
"Alright. Let's do it!" She said, and both of us started calling the ladies in the family.
Eventually all of us were gathered on the couches and I told them the plan for the apartment. Then Aunt Em and I started our work in the bedroom. She helped me move the bed so that it was beneath the huge window that the sun would shine in from in the morning. Then we changed the curtains from the ugly brown ones that Vivi had put up and we replaced them with the new white ones that would just give us privacy but wouldn't block all the light out.
We got rid of Vivi's ugly old sheets and we replaced all of them with new ones, even the ones that were sitting in the closet.

While we did that, she told me about how she made clothes and how she got into fashion. She told me a lot about her husband and about Evan too. They were the cutest little family. I loved her personality. She had a really strong, pretty outgoing and crazy personality.
She told me she wanted to make me a short sundress but instead of having a skirt at the bottom it would be a pair of shorts. Apparently it was called a romper. She said she'd made every one of the girls one of those and they were apparently nice for when they all went to the beach.
"Vivi doesn't like it when I wear short shorts." I said.
"Really? That's nice... Vivi can suck it up." She said to me, making me laugh.
"To be fair, I get kind of jealous too." I said with a nervous giggle.
"Do you?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows at me.
"It's no secret that I love him." I said, giggling in embarrassment at her teasing.
"And it's a secret that he loves you?" She asked me.
"Well, I don't think that's it. It's just that we can't be in a relationship right now. We can't be together like that because of his being my legal guardian or caregiver or whatever." I explained, finding it tedious that I talked about this with everyone.
"I see. So you guys just aren't really at that point yet?" She asked.
"Yeah. I love him, and I tell him every day. But it can't go anywhere right now." I told her as we moved the vanity that Vivi bought for me over to where the bed used to be.
"I understand." She smiled.
We both got distracted from our conversation because of the dresser and we moved it away from the corner it was trapped in and put it near the closet door. We also added a nice soft rug on the ground and we put up some nice lights in the corners of all the walls that would add some great lighting to the room. We also put up some pictures that me and Ari got printed. We framed them and put them on a few shelves I bought that we were able to put up.

The room looked beautiful when we were done with it, and Vivi couldn't say it looked too girly. I added nothing girly to it. Except there may have been a fluffy pillow or two put on the bed. I just couldn't resist.
The room was much brighter and felt much more happy now.
"Woah." Ari said, walking into the room and looking around in shock.
"It's prettier now, isn't it?" I asked her.
"Yes! You're a genius!" She smiled, looking around in amazement.
I giggled and ran over to her, hugging her as excitement filled me.
"Kiki! I don't know what to do with this thing!" Fifi called out from the living room.
I went out to go help her and found her pushing the old, ugly TV stand away from the area where I'd decided we were moving the TV.
I felt like the space would be better used if we moved the small dining table away from the area where a bunch of doors surrounded it and put it behind the kitchen counter in the center of the room. Then I moved the couches to the corner of the room and made a little lounge area over there. It felt like the entire apartment had tripled in size and I felt really good about that.
I helped Fifi set up the new TV stand against the wall and plug everything back in. We put up a little bookshelf which was put into the wall near the couches. I even put a little side table by one of the couches underneath that bookshelf so that Vivi could put his papers and laptop somewhere other than the coffee table or the couch itself. The little table had a drawer and I put a bunch of his pens in there.
"Wow, Kiara." Nana Lucie smiled, looking around at the beautiful apartment after her and Nana Bella finished putting up some fairy lights.
"Wow indeed." Momma smiled, looking around and spotting some strawberries on the kitchen counter.
"Who wants some cheese bites?" Fifi asked.
"Me!" Everyone cheered.
"Teach me how to make them?" I asked.
"Sure thing, Kiki. Come here." Momma smiled, taking my hand and leading me to the kitchen.
It took literally a few minutes to make them, they were so easy to prepare. Then we put them in the oven and I joined Aunt Em on the couch, letting her braid my hair while she told me about how she met Uncle Killian. It was a very cute story actually. Based on my experience with him in the past, I never would've thought that Uncle Killian was too shy to talk to her. But their love story was one of the cutest, because it showed how both of them had to put so much effort into it.
As we talked, I became more comfortable with the idea of meeting Uncle Killian and Evan, since that's mainly what she liked to talk about. Her husband and her son. They sounded a lot like each other, Evan's quiet behaviour was explained by what Aunt Em told me about Uncle Killian. I actually couldn't wait to meet the two. They were the next on my list now. Which left only Gabriel after them.
They all sounded super sweet and I just couldn't wait. Three more people to meet and I'd officially be added to the group chat. It was going to be so much fun, I just knew it.
Things had turned out a lot more exciting and a lot better than I ever would've thought they could, and I had Vivi to thank for that.
I called him back to the house, telling him to bring Uncle Killian and Evan with him if it was possible. And it happened, he brought then over so I could meet them.
