《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 38 - Arabella and Finding Sisters

Meeting Theo was very different from what I expected. Theo was just a heartbroken dude and he didn't deserve anything but the best. He was super kind, and all he ever did was worry about people who were hurting. He was just afraid that I'd be hurt like his Momma.

After he reluctantly left with the bunny, I pretended to be mad at Vivi until he offered me a massage. Let's just say, the massage was interesting. My back really needed it, but it was also unnecessarily long, and Vidal wouldn't let me go for a while after that. He massaged me and then he made me cuddle him for the next two hours. Maybe it affected him the way it affected me.

That was four days ago though and now Arabella was coming with her daughters. I didn't know how to tell between them, but I knew their names were Mia and Mila. Hopefully by the end of the visit, I'd be able to tell between them.

When they arrived, the girls were wrapped around their father's legs and Arabella was hiding behind her husband. I was hiding behind Vivi.

"I'm just here to drop them off.... if they'll let go of my legs..." Arabella's husband, Micah, said.

"Y-you can stay." I decided.

"W-what? A-are you sure?" Micah asked in shock.

"Of course." I smiled politely, not actually sure I was comfortable with his presence.

"Do you want me to stay Sparkle?" He asked, looking over his shoulder at his wife.

"Yes please." She said quietly.

There was no way in hell I was getting near her when she was standing behind that tall man. He wasn't the same as the other guys, something about him was more intimidating and I hadn't heard anything about him really.

"It's ok, Mini, come out from behind you. I don't think our friend is going to get near you if you're behind me." Micah told Arabella.

"Come here, Ari." Vivi said.

Arabella stepped out from beside her husband and came closer to Vivi.

"What's wrong with you?" Vivi asked her with a laugh.

"I'm nervous." She admitted, her cheeks turning red.

I peaked over Vivi's shoulder and looked at her and she giggled.

"Hi." She said.

"Hi." I whispered from behind Vidal.

Maybe making friends with someone who's a lot like you is more difficult than I thought.

"Uhm... I'm Arabella... that's my husband, Miki, and those are our daughters, Mia and Mila." She said, introducing me to her family.

"I know." I said with a smile.

"Come out from behind me, Kiwi. I've got you." Vivi said, taking my hand.

I let him pull me out from behind him and I made sure he held me to his chest.

"I... heard you like reading." Arabella said softly and my eyes snapped to hers. I started nodding.

"I... I was wondering if you'd read my new book and give me feedback...." She said softly.

"Y-your new book?" I asked her.

"I publish stories.... I published two so far... and this is my third... I haven't published it yet, but... I was hoping it was good enough and I needed someone who isn't my husband to give me feedback." She said.

"Hey. I give good feedback." Micah laughed.

"No. You tell me everything is perfect." She said.

"That's not true." He denied.

"Ugh.... be quiet..... So, Kiara... will you read my book?" She asked me.

"I w-would love to!" I said and she pulled a huge binder out of her backpack.

"Woah." I giggled.

"I know it's long... I just... something feels wrong and I don't know how to fix it." She said with a shy smile.

"I love reading, so it's ok." I smiled.

"Uhm.... I also brought you a gift..." She said softly.

"W-what?" I asked. "Y-you shouldn't have."

"Well... I am kind of meeting my sister... so..." She said with a smile.

I smiled and she handed me a little box.

"Please don't open it now." She said, turning bright red.

I giggled and nodded.

"Thank you." I said.

"Ok... Micah and I are going to be in the kitchen." Vivi said.

"Vee!" One of the little ones said.

"Hey, Cutie." Vivi said, opening his arms for the tiny girl.

"Mimi too." The little girl said, pointing to her sister who shyly ran towards her uncle as well.

"They're cute." I smiled.

Arabella laughed.

"They're cute until they destroy things left right and center in your house." Arabella said.

"D-do you want to sit down and talk?" I asked her.

"Yes please." She smiled.

We both sat down on the couch and the guys left us.

"Your husband is scary." I said to her.

"No he isn't." She giggled. "He's really tall, but he's a softie."

"H-how did you guys meet?" I asked.

"We were in a few classes together. Both of us were having a rough time and it just kind of brought us together." She smiled. "What about you and Vidal?"

"How did we meet?" I asked her.

"Yeah." She nodded.

"I was in the hospital after I got saved from the facility... your dad was my doctor and then Vivi came to bring him lunch and scared me to death." I giggled.

"He barged into the room, didn't he?" She asked.

"Yes! Even your dad does it too... and Remi when he came over." I said.

"They all do it! It's a male thing, I think... like they don't realize they're being too dramatic about entering or exiting a room." She said, rolling her eyes.

"Exactly!" I said, getting excited because someone understood exactly what I felt.

"So, who have you met so far?" She asked me.

"Uhm... I've met Remi, Theo, and Momma, Dad, and your parents." I said with a smile.

"That's not a lot." She giggled. "Who do you want information on?" She asked me.

"Uhm... no one tells me about your Uncle... Gabriel." I said.

"Oh. He's such a sweetie. He'll treat you like you're actually his niece even though he's only two years older than the guys." She laughed.

"They're all super gentle." I laughed.

"Right?! They act all tough and then they're like the most cuddly people ever." She laughed. "Except Vidal, he's actually not very gentle."

"Yes he is... why does everyone say that?" I laughed.

"He's not at all gentle... he accidentally broke a doorknob one time and he was only trying to open the door." Arabella told me.

"What?" I laughed.

"I swear, he's just like too strong and he doesn't realize it." Arabella told me.

"He's never done anything like that with me before." I giggled.

"That's because he's obsessed with you, and he wants to be super gentle." She smiled.

"He's not obsessed with me." I said, my cheeks turning red.

"Sure he isn't..." She laughed, teasing me.

"Stop." I giggled through the embarrassment, covering my cheeks with my hands.

"It's ok. Every guy is obsessed with their girl." She laughed.

"I'm not his girl." I chuckled.

"He sure seems to think you are." She told me. "But why do you say that? Don't you want to be with him?"

"Of course. I love him.... a lot... but he's the one who pushes the idea of a relationship aside." I said.

"I think he needs to wait, Kiara. I don't think it's about what he wants, he just has to wait until you're completely better. I don't know the details, but I don't think he's allowed to be with you while you're legally under his care." She told me.

I nodded, I knew that.

"But I'm sure he can't wait to be your boyfriend." She chuckled.

I smiled and shrugged.

"Oh yes... we started off talking about Gabe." She chuckled.

"Yeah." I nodded, knowing that she had something else to say.

"So I've been the only girl with a bunch of guys being overprotective, and I've always wanted them to find girls so I could have a sister. You're the first, but I've been keeping track." She giggled.

"So... did they find girls?" I asked her.

"No... well, kinda... So Vivi's got you.... Theo had some girl from years ago that he's hung up on... he won't tell me much, but he's not bringing a girl into the family anytime soon as it seems, then there's Evan... I've got something brewing for him, but I don't know if it'll work... and then there's Remi.... Did you hear about Riki's plan?" She asked me.

"Yes. Dad planted a girl in the office." I nodded.

"Yeah... do you know if it worked yet?" She asked me.

"No... but he said he has his eye on a girl who keeps shutting him down." I said.

"Oooh.... do you know her name?" Arabella asked me.

"No... it seemed complicated... I don't know if she's the same girl as the one dad is trying to set him up with...." I said.

"Hm.... ok, so Remi's case is labelled complicated then.... but Uncle Gabe is in love!" Arabella squealed.

"He is?" I asked.

"I think it was when he hurt his arm and had to get stitches at the hospital... but he met one of the doctors and he's been obsessed ever since." She said.

"Wait, really?" I giggled.

"Yeah.... he fell in love, I swear... he goes to the hospital every day to see Daddy, just so he can see her too." Ari told me.

"Have you seen her?" I asked.

"Yes.... she's so pretty, and she's not like other girls... she's super smart, of course, and she's very strong. She keeps shutting him down, I think she might be afraid he's a stupid boy who's gonna play with her emotions.... but I think he'll get to her soon." Arabella said.

"She sounds cool." I smiled.

"Yeah. She is. Her name is Ava!" Arabella said.

"Aw, that's a really pretty name, what does she look like?" I asked.

"She's got thick brown hair, and brown eyes. And oh my God, she's a total boss, walking around in her white doctor's coat and bossing people around! Oh my God! I just love her!" Arabella said with a smile.

"And what about him? Is he always acting like the other boys?" I asked.

"No. He's like super gentle. Just when you look at his eyes, you can tell he's super gentle and sweet. He loves kids! He teaches at an elementary school, and all his students love him! Oh my God, he's the cutest in the world! You're going to love him." She said to me.

"They sound super cute together. She's the tough girl and he's the sweet guy." I giggled.

"Exactly! But I think there's more to her story than she gives away... I think maybe she's had a bad experience with a jerk before... because I see the way she looks at Gabe, she likes him, but she shuts him down every single time. And if anyone is persistent, it's my Uncle Gabriel." Arabella chuckled.

"How long has this been going on?" I asked her.

"Like literally two years now, I think... and Uncle Gabe is getting old.... so I really hope she gives in already." Arabella said.

"I think that if he's how you say he is, she will give in soon." I smiled. "Maybe he just has to push a little harder. You're sure she likes him?" I asked.

"Yes, definitely. The way she smiles when she sees him coming into the hospital... it's the cutest, but she quickly hides it before he sees." Arabella told me.

"He just has to push a little more... I know she'll give in!" I said, already wanting them together without having met either of them yet.

"Oh my God! I'm so happy you're here. I can just talk to you, you know?" She giggled.

"Yeah... the boys are different." I laughed.

"Exactly. I still have so much to tell you." She said and I braced myself for even more.

Having a sister was going to be the best thing that ever happened to me, and it seemed like our first mission was to collect all of the missing sisters in the family. This was going to be the best!
