《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 35 - Brother's Advice and Names

When Remi pulled me aside to talk, I worried it would be like last time when Uncle Rico dragged me aside to talk. But it was nothing like that.

"You ok, Dude? You also need out for at least an hour while we were looking at pictures and now you zoned out staring at a stuffed bunny." He said to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. She just has my head spinning constantly." I sighed.

"She's worried about you." He told me.

"She is?" I asked.

"Well she just asked me to fix you... so I'd say she's pretty worried." Remi told me.

"There's nothing to worry about. I just... I can't stop thinking about..." I started, not even knowing how to say this to my brother.

"About....?" He urged me to keep going.

"I just like.... I'm obsessed with her and I can't act on it, because I'm her caregiver." I said.

"Ok.... so you just imagine scenarios in your head and make yourself want it more until you go insane because you can't have it? Sounds like a great plan, Vidal. Good thinking. I never would've thought of that one on my own." Remi laughed.

"I don't know what to do, Romeo." I sighed.

"Transfer her care over to someone else. You both seem ready to take this a step further.... so just do it." Remi told me.

"No, Bro. As much as she seems ready. She isn't. What happens when I kiss her and she freaks the hell out? Huh? Or when I touch her and she remembers something and has a meltdown?" I asked.

"Nothing about that will change if you wait. She's not going to get over things until she's allowed to experience stuff and get over it. She's going to freak out even if you wait another eight years, Vidal. No one's going to touch her the way you will. So you're going to have to experience the freak out." He said to me.

"I just... maybe I'm the one who isn't ready. I get nervous touching her sometimes. Like she's a piece of glass that might shatter at my touch." I explained.

"Bro. How do you feel about her?" He asked me.

"I'm so madly in love that I think I might die before I can even tell her." I sighed.

"Tell her now, Vidal. Why are you waiting to express your feelings?" He asked me.

"Because you know when something is so built up inside of you that the second a tiny fraction comes out, it all comes out.... like if I tell her I love her, the next thing I know, I'll be kissing her and things will escalate really quickly, Remi. I'm walking on eggshells here. I don't want her to freak out." I sighed.

"I don't know what to say to you, man... she told me that you were the one who didn't want a relationship now. It seemed to me like she was ready to jump right into one. But here you are worrying about her." He said to me.

"I have to worry about her. It's my job. God, she means absolutely everything to me and she doesn't even know it. I can't get more intimate with her, Remi. Just a few days ago she told me I could take my anger out on her and hurt her if it would relieve my stress.... how messed up is that? The fact that these thoughts even cross her mind makes me even more reluctant to progress into a relationship." I explained.

"Maybe telling her you love her will help with that, Vidal. She knows love. That's a feeling that she's come to understand. But she doesn't know you love her, she won't understand until you tell her that you feel strongly enough not to hurt her. You feel towards her and to you, it's outrageous that she thought me hurting her was even an option. But how is she supposed to realize it's crazy, when you're not even ready to tell the woman you love that you love her to death." Remi said to me.

"Yeah, I tell her I love her, what next? She kisses me and then she wants more and it's not like I have self control. What am I supposed to do, Remi. I don't know what to do." I sighed.

"Tell her you love her and for her sake, don't kiss her, ok?" He said to me.

"I'll think about it." I sighed.

"You baffle me with your stupidity sometimes, Brother." Remi said, walking away from me while shaking his head. I followed him out to see Kiara on the couch with her phone in her hand and she seemed lost in thought. She looked worried.

"Kiwi." I said softly and she immediately smiled, looking over at me and jumping up to greet me.

"Hi." I said, kissing her cheek.

"Hi, Vivi." She giggled, jumping onto me and wrapping her arms and legs around me.

I'd never get used to how happy she always seemed when she saw me. Her greetings were the best, even when I was only gone for a few minutes or even seconds.

"You ok, baby?" I asked her.

"Yeah. I'm good." She told me, looking over at Remi and letting me go.

"Hi, Cupcake, ready for some cupcakes?" He chuckled, taking her hand.

"Yeah." She giggled, pulling me into the couch beside my brother and settling down in my lap.

She handed Romeo a fork, but she didn't give me one.

"Don't I get some?" I asked her.

"Mhm." She nodded, scooping some of the squished cake into the fork and bringing it to my lips.

I now understood that we were sharing the fork and she was going to feed me the cupcakes. I didn't mind at all, I'd do anything she wanted at this point.

"Remi... Vivi got me a phone...." Kiara started, and I knew she wanted to ask him for his number, but she didn't know how to.

"Wow, it has a number on it?" Remi asked her.

Kiara looked at me in confusion.

"Yeah it does." I smiled.

"Give me your number, Cupcake. That way we can text anytime." He told her.

Kiara looked so relieved, but then she frowned down at the phone.

"I don't know the number..." She said.

He pulled her off my lap and moved over so she could sit between us and he showed her how to find her number. He told her that she should remember it, that way she could tell anyone her number.

Then he showed her how to add a number into her phone as he added her number in his, then he helped her change his name in her phone. Then he highjacked her phone and changed all her contact names because apparently the ones I put in there were too boring. When he handed it back she read them out.

"Momma Bear." She read. "Ooooh, it has a teddy next to it!"

She giggled and then read off the next one.

"Daddy Dodo?" She giggled. "Why does it have a bird beside it, and why Daddy Dodo?"

"Momma calls him Dodo. Can you believe he let her name him after the ugliest bird in existence, the dodo bird." He laughed.

He looked it up and showed her an image.

"Hey, it's not ugly. It's a cutie." She giggled, scrolling through the pictures.

"Cutie? This doesn't look horrifying to you?" He asked her.

"No! Just because they're a little odd, doesn't mean they're ugly. They're cuties." She smiled.

"If you say so.... I swear, girls are so weird." He said.

"The next one.... Fifi, the food master." Kiara laughed, showing me the contact with the chef hat beside it.

I chuckled and shook my head.

"Coco, the stubborn coconut?" I asked, looking at my brother in amusement.

"She calls him Coco, ok? What am I supposed to do? It's too cute of a name for Uncle Rico." Romeo said with a laugh.

"Hey! Coco is a cutie! You guys just don't understand how sweet he really is." She said, defending my uncle.

I smiled and looked back down at her phone.

"My Red Hot Idiot?" I asked, seeing the hot face, panting emoji.

Kiara gasped, turning bright red and looking back at the phone. She saw it and she smacked Romeo, hiding her face in her hands.

"I didn't change that one." He winked at me.

"Liar! Yes you did!" She screeched in shock.

"I did not." He said.

"Yes you did!" She screamed, tackling him and repeatedly smacking him lightly.

"Fine. I changed it from 'My Red Hot Lover', and it had the same emoji." Remi said, laughing when Kiara turned even more red.

She proceeded to push him onto the floor and stared kicking him lightly.

"Ok, ok. It was just 'Vivi' and I changed it." Remi said.

"It was...." Kiara said to me, desperate for me to believe her.

"I know, Kiwi." I smiled, having enjoyed the display of anger that I'd just seen from Kiara.

Never had I seen my Kiwi turn this red before. She was always either excited and happy and never this embarrassed and flustered. Even when she was openly moaning at the touch of my hands on her back, she never turned this red or got this embarrassed.

But to be fair, the massage was long overdue. Her poor muscles had been so stiff and tight, I should've expected it after everything she'd been through, but I just never thought she'd be so stiff.

"Cupcake, get off me!" I heard my brother yelp in desperation.

"No! You idiot! Why did you do that?!" She glared at him, smacking him with a rolled up newspaper.

"I'm sorry. I won't repeat it!" He yelled.

"Good." She said, calmly putting the newspaper down and calmly sitting on the couch beside me. She grabbed her phone and quickly changed my name in her phone. I tried peaking over to see what she was changing it to, but I couldn't see it, because she was holding it too close to her chest.

"What did you change it to?" Remi asked her.

"None of your business." She said, finally having cooled down a little.

He took her phone and he looked at the contact.

"Ooooh. Spicy." He winked.

"Remi!" She screamed, trying to snatch her phone back.

"You wanna know what is says, brother?" He asked me.

"Yes. I do." I said with a laugh.

"No!" Kiara screeched in embarrassment, but she couldn't wipe the mortified smile off her face.

"It says, Sexy Vivi." Remi said.

"No! I doesn't say that!" She growled, latching into Remi's back and starting to climb him like a tree so she could get the phone.

"Fine, it says Hottie, with a tongue emoji and the water droplets." Remi said, making me laugh when she smacked her own forehead in embarrassment.

"Remi!" She yelled, putting her hand over his mouth and continuing to try and reach for the phone with her other hand. "It doesn't say that! Shut up!"

"Aw, are you embarrassed?" I asked her.

"Vivi! Don't start!" She yelled, her face very red now.

I laughed and grabbed the now locked phone from my brothers hands.

"Oh man, it's locked. What did it say again?" I asked Remi.

"Red Hot!" Remi laughed when he freed himself from her grasp.

"No!" She yelled.

"Lover boy!" Remi yelled out as she tackled him to the ground.

Truth be told, she knew she could get me to give her the phone, her top priority was shutting Romeo's big mouth.

"I didn't call him that!" She growled.

"Sexy Beast." He said, laughing his head off.

"Oh my God.... no!" She said.

"Tiger... Rawr." Remi said.

"Remi!" She squeaked, too mortified to scream anymore.

"Muscle Man." Remi said.

"Shut your big mouth, Romeo!" She growled, intriguing me.

"You didn't say no." I said.

"I didn't call you muscle man, stupid!" She yelled at me.

"So was it sexy beast? You think I'm sexy?" I asked her.

"Vidal!" She screamed.

"Don't get too excited you two." Remi said.

"I hate you!" She screamed, getting up off Remi and pouting.

"Aw, I love you, Cupcake." Remi said, kissing her on the side of her head. "So does your Red Hot Lover over there."

"Shut up!" She screamed, making me laugh my head off as she chased him around the living room with the intent to kill.

"Ok, ok. Both of you stop. We all know my name in her phone is Hottie. Have you seen me?" I said, seeing Kiara turn red again and turn to me this time.

Remi was shocked because I'd never say anything like that. I just found a new hobby, teasing Kiara.

"Fine, you wanna see your name in my phone?" She asked me.

"Yes, please." I said, and she unlocked her phone.

She handed it back to me and I was more than shocked to see what she'd named me.

Sexy Fire Beast.

"Sexy Fire Beast?" I asked in confusion, looking at Kiara whose eyes widened.

"What?" She breathed out in mortification.
