《Come Back To Me, Kiwi.》Chapter 17 - Meeting and Forgiving

When we arrived in the living room where everyone else was, I sat in Vidal's lap, hugging him and hiding my face.

"Arabella. Please stop crying, Sparkle." A man's voice said softly.

"No. I can't. Theo keeps saying he used her but he didn't." The Arabella girl sobbed.

"Come here, Baby." The man said softly and then I felt the couch dip.

I peaked over to see a blonde man holding a raven haired girl. Then, the two tiny little girls from my first night with Vidal came running over and climbed into the blonde man's lap.

"Mommy! No cry, Mommy!" They both said, stroking the raven haired girl's head softly.

She pulled them both into her arms and the blonde man kissed the two little ones on their heads as they focused on making who I assumed to be Arabella, feel better.

"That's Arabella." Vidal whispered to me.

"She's in Micah's lap. They're married. And the two little girls are Mila and Mia, they're Arabella and Micah's daughters." Vidal told me.

I turned my head away from the little family and hid it in Vidal's shirt.

"I don't get it." The angry man from the park said.

"Theo, really?" Vidal sighed.

"I don't. You couldn't even defend yourself properly when I accused you of taking advantage of her." Theo, the angry man said.

"If I told you that you were taking advantage of 'you know who', how long would it take you to get over the pain of hearing such an accusation and actually fight me on it?" Vidal asked him.

"She means to you what... w-what... she means to me?" Theo asked, his eyes growing really sad.

"God, yes!" Vidal said, tightening his grip on me.

"I didn't know, dude... why didn't you tell me? I feel like that could've easily been explained." Theo said, guilt overtaking his features.

"H-he... he never h-h-hurt me." I said very, very softly, tightening my grip around Vidal in fear.

"Shh... it's ok." Vidal soothed, knowing it was difficult for me to talk to people.

"What happened then, Little One?" A tall man asked.

"Uncle Killian, I don't think she wants to talk." Vidal said, rubbing my back.

"Did I speak to you? No." The man said to Vidal.

He was so mean to my Vidal and that wasn't very nice at all. I didn't like him very much. I frowned at the man, glaring at him hoping my eyes would hurt him just like he hurt Vidal's feelings.

The man chuckled at my glare and he smiled at me.

"You didn't like how I spoke to him very much, did you?" He asked me.

I shook my head and hugged Vidal again. Vidal took a plate from someone and when I looked back it was his mom, the one with the orange hair. I frowned at her too, and then at the ladies beside her. I soon realized I was surrounded by people wherever I looked.

"Hey... it's ok." I heard the tall lady with the black hair say to me. She looked like an older version of Arabella.

"Momma, I don't think she likes you." Arabella said from behind me.

"I'm Sophie." She said to me.

I looked up at Vidal and he smiled down at me.

"Y-y-you're mean." I said softly.

"I'm mean? I didn't mean to be mean, I only meant for you to be safe." She said to me.

"N-no." I shook my head vigorously.

"Did you know that Aunt Sophie is the one who always makes me food, and that she takes care of me all the time?" Vidal asked me.

I looked up at him with wide eyes, ready to hear more.

"She's my aunt. She always takes good care of me and everyone else here. She's not mean at all. She just wants everyone to be safe and when she saw your bruises, she was worried about if I was taking good care of you." Vidal explained to me.

I looked back at her and she smiled at me with a tear in her eye.

"D-don't hurt m-me." I said ever so softly, I wasn't even sure she heard it. She looked at me in shock and then I added to my request. "P-pl-please...?"

"I would never in a million years hurt you, My Love." She said, tears falling from her eyes. I reached out and slowly wiped away her tears.

"D-don't b-b-be m-mean to Vivi." I said softly.

"Vivi?" Vidal chuckled. I nodded up at him and saw his smile widen.

"I won't be mean to him ever again." She smiled, reaching out for my hand and making me flinch away like my life depended on it.

"She's not going to hurt you, remember?" He asked me.

I slowly reached out to take her hand and she held it very softly. Then the one with the orange hair came over and kissed Vidal on the forehead, making me want to explode.

She couldn't just yell at him like that and try to take me away and make him cry so much and then kiss him like it was ok. I jumped up in his lap and brought his head down into my chest, making him bend in a weird angle.

"Woah... it's just my Momma, Kiwi." Vidal said.

"N-no." I said firmly. I really didn't like her at all.

"Come on, Kiwi." He said to me, fighting my grip and freeing his head.

"If I were her, I think I'd do the same... sorry Auntie." Arabella said, smiling at an older lady who was behind me.

"I'm sorry for hurting him." The orange haired lady said, crouching down on her knees in front of us.

I shook my head, pulling myself closer into him so that his whole body was touching me.

"You're never gonna forgive me?" She asked with sad eyes.

I frowned. Why did she have to have sad eyes like Vivi? It wasn't fair.

"Y-you m-made Vivi sad." I frowned at her.

"I know. I'm so sorry about that." She sighed.

"Momma... this is Kiara. She's acting very strange today, but she's such a sweet little kiwi most times. Kiara, this is my Momma, she's the reason I'm alive." Vivi said.

I frowned and looked up at him.

"If it wasn't for her I wouldn't even exist. I wouldn't have been able to meet you and we wouldn't have been able to have so much fun together." He told me. "Besides she was only trying to make sure that I made the right decisions so that you and I could be happier."

When he put it that way. This lady had already done so much for me. I wasn't angry at her anymore. How could I be?

"M-m-momma? S-she m-made you al-live?" I stuttered, looking down at her.

He nodded and I threw myself at her, hugging her tightly because without her I never would've been safe and I never would've met Vivi.

But before she could process the hug, I was already jumping back into Vivi's arms and shaking.

"Am I forgiven?" She giggled.

I nodded my head vigorously, my heart pounding out of my chest at the crazy behaviour I was displaying all of a sudden.

"You know Rico and my dad." Vidal said, pointing at two identical men standing next to each other. I whimpered in fear of not being able to look at them and know who was who.

"It's ok, Kiwi. Is it stressing you out that you don't know who's who?" Vivi asked, pushing my hair behind my shoulder.

I nodded my head and he smiled at me.

"It's ok. You don't need to care. And they'll tell you, won't they?" He asked, and both of them nodded at me.

"The girls look the same, why aren't you stressed out about that?" He asked me.

"Th-they can't hurt me." I whispered.

"Oh, Sweetheart. We'd never hurt you." One of them said.

"Who said that? Was it Rico or my dad?" Vivi asked.

"Y-your d-dad." I said softly, because he seemed more emotional.

"You're right. So you can tell the difference." Vivi said to me, kissing my forehead.

I shrugged and relaxed against him. Next Theo approached.

I shook my head at him angrily.

"You hate me, don't you?" Theo asked me.

I definitely did. He was the one that hurt Vivi the most.

"G-go aw-away." I said angrily.

"Be nice, baby." Vidal said.

"He w-wasn't n-nice." I argued.

"You're right. I wasn't. What can I do to make it better?" Theo asked me.

I looked up at Vidal.

"M-make Vivi happy." I frowned.

"Bro. I've gotta make you happy, what do I do?" Theo asked Vidal.

He looked guilty.

"I've been mad lately..." Vidal spoke softly. "I've been mad and explosive and fed up with a lot of things... I told you I wanted to find the right girl for me. I was lonely. I get it. I understand why you believed I might be in a relationship for the wrong reasons, but.... really, Theo? Did you really think I'd take someone so... precious and take advantage of that?" Vidal asked, adjusting me in his lap and squeezing me tightly as if I'd fly away.

"Bro... you realize that you never ever keep things from me, and all of a sudden you refuse to tell me what's going on. I never thought you'd hurt her... you just haven't been thinking straight and... if she gave you consent.... I don't know... I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have believed it..." Theo said.

"Bro, would I take advantage of someone like Kiara?" Vidal asked angrily.

"No." Theo said confidently.

"Then why on earth would you believe I did?!" Vidal yelled, making me jump up in fright.

I relaxed instantly, only having been shocked because of the sudden yelling and not because Vivi had scared me.

"Sorry, Kiwi." He said to me.

I smiled up at him and he stroked my head. I felt safe even in the middle of a room with a bunch of strangers.

"Aunt Soph. Can we get some food for Kiara?" Vivi said softly.

"You forgave our mothers but not me?" Theo asked.

"I spent every moment of every day with you! I grew up going to classes with you! Helping you and getting help from you! I never kept a secret from you! I told you how upset and lonely I was! I open up to you, Theo! I don't open up to other people about everything, but I did with you! When I finally find someone that makes me happy, you accuse me of being a bad person! I tell you I'm not, then you insist and you don't even let me explain. What do you want?! How do I forgive my brother, my best friend, my twin, for accusing me of using her like that?" Vivi said angrily, yelling a little bit.

"You didn't say anything! You had plenty of opportunity to shut me up and explain, but did you ever really plan on explaining until now?" Theo growled, tears falling from his eyes.

"No. But you should've been able to wait for an explanation." Vivi said.

"Look at her! For God's sake look at how tiny and fragile she is! Look at how hurt and broken she is! What am I supposed to believe?! I don't know what to believe! I just wasn't thinking straight.... I c-can't stand the thought of someone going through what Mo-... forget it." Theo said, walking away.

"Theo... Baby, wait." Sophie said, taking his hand.

Up until then, the aunt lady looked confused, now she looked like everything made sense and it made her sad. Theo turned to her and hugged her tightly like he was a little boy and she was his only source of comfort.

"Aunt Sophie?" Remi asked in confusion.

"Uh... I g-guess everyone should know now..." Sophie said softly.

Know? Know what?

When I found out, I wished I didn't know. Life really wasn't fair. But I finally knew that someone here actually understood me.
