We get into her room. She started looking into her phone.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I told you, we are going out to a party." She replied still searching for something on her phone.

"I thought you were kidding," I told her.

"I was not. We are going out and that's final. Here I found the place where we should go. One of our classmates is throwing a birthday party. She invited me but I was not planning to go." Is she out of her mind?

"That's good. Let's forget about it." I said in relief.

"You keep quiet and get ready." She snapped.

"No, I don't want to go." I snapped too.

"Okay, I will go alone. I knew you don't think of me as your friend. I was the only stupid one." She was faking a sad face.

"You are such a cheat," I said defeated.

"When you know you can never win against me then why do you even start?" Kate said

After one and a half hours. I am regrating this decision. She took one hour only on me. Now god knows how much she will take on her. She hasn't let me take a look at the mirror.

Miraculously she finished within 40 mins. We both stand in front of the full-length mirror.

We were looking for twins. Today we bought these dresses. I never thought that I'm going to wear this, and this soon.

I was looking at myself in the mirror. I never imagined that I can look this good.

Kate and I look totally different. She is a little taller than me, she is a blonde and I have honey-colored hair. Her eyes are blue and very beautiful. Opposite to her, my eyes are gray. Her face is cute round-shaped and I have an oval-shaped face.

We wore matching shoes and were looking for some accessories when we heard the doorbell.

Kate went down to open the door. I walked behind her. She opened the door and I stood at the corner. I took an umbrella in hand, in case it was someone dangerous.

"What the hell are two doing here?" She asked.

"Well, you said you will go out and how can we leave two beautiful girls alone by themselves? So here we are." David said inviting himself in.

I stood there shocked.

How can he come here? Wait... She said two of them. It means... No way.

"Why are you not getting in?" Kate said to him.

Xavier stood there, staring at me. He didn't respond to Kate's question. He was making me blush again. Why he behaves like this?

"Can you make this, less obvious? If not then just kiss and get together." Kate said elbowing Xavier in the stomach.

I can tell, I must be looking like a beetroot.

Kate, why don't you go and die. How can you do this to your friend?

I glared at her. "What? He doesn't man up and says what he wants to you. It's not my fault that you two are so slow."

"We all can't be like you two." Thank God Xavier said this, to change the topic.

"Oh! Shut up, please. Now get in." Kate pushed him suddenly, he was about to fall on me but he balanced himself. Still, we were very very close. His face was a few inches away from me. We stayed there for ling, just looking into the eyes of each other.

"See, that's what I was talking about," Kate said.

"Let them be love. You are looking as hot as fire. I don't think I would let you get out of my sight for the whole night." David took her in his arms.

I took several steps back. I looked at the ground shyly. I put the strands of hair behind my ear.

He came closer to my ear. "You look too gorgeous, that I don't want others to see you." He whispered in my ear. His breath gave me pleasant chills.

I blushed into a deeper red shade.

"Get away from my girl." Said Kate and pushed Xavier away from me.

"David, control your girl. I am letting her be Anna's friend. That doesn't mean she can have her totally to herself." Xavier glared at Kate.

"Hello, to you both. I right here and I a not a thing. I belong to myself."

"And your whole self belongs to me." He said in stubbornness.

Why is he so stubborn? I just don't want to fight him. I will make sure to remind him that I belong to me only.

"Let's just go. We are already late." David said.

After last-minute touch-up and after checking all the windows, Kate locks the door. The boys brought their car so we didn't take Kate's car. We sit on the back seat.

"Let's hit the road," Kate shouted.

"Will you keep quiet? You are hurting my ears." Xavier said irritated.

"Easy boy, she is my girl. Have some manners." David said calmly. How can he handle Xavier?

"Yeah. You should teach her some." Xavier scoffed.

We reached the party in 10 minutes. We parked far away from the house of the party. We all get out. David took Kate's hand in his and said not to get too much attention because she is looking very beautiful so don't let guys get their way. I smiled at their sweet moment. They walked in first. As I was about to follow them, Xavier took my hand and stood very near to me.

He is looking very handsome. I must be looking at him dreamily because he kissed the temple of my head and said smilingly in my ear. "I get it, that I am looking handsome." I turned red again.

How can he make me blush all the time? His words, his actions, and even his gaze make me blush.

He stopped smiling and looked into my eyes seriously. "This is a guy's party, so there will be alcohol for sure. Don't drink from any open bottle or from any glass. Just take a new unopened bottle every time. I will always be watching over you but if by any chance I am not near, then don't go with any guy or even with a girl anywhere. These days even the girls can't be trusted." He instructed me very seriously. I chuckled at his behavior.

"What's so funny? I am very serious Anastasia." The way he said my name made me blush again. I looked at the ground and smiled at his drastic care. I looked at him in the eyes. I took his black shirt's collar in my hands and pulled him a little. He looked more shocked by my behavior than I am.

"I know, I look naive but that doesn't mean I am stupid. I am well aware of what could happen at a party like this. So don't worry. I will be with Kate all the time. And as you said you will be there, so I have nothing to worry about. Well, this serious look looks cute on you." I said with a smile. Then I tiptoed and kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear. "Enjoy yourself in there." With that, I left him there. He was totally shocked by my this side because he was looking at me with his mouth wide open.

I waved at him and entered the house.
