I was very scared, standing in front of his house gate.

First, it was my first time going to the guy's home.

Second, I'm meeting a complete stranger for the first time and in their own house.

Third, his house is so damn big. It all most looks like a castle. It was very intimidating. I was feeling a little underdress here.

He opened the door without giving me time to prepare myself. He called for his mom and she replied from what I guessed was the kitchen.

He took me towards the voice. I passed through the hall. Which was very spacious. There was a big family photograph hanging on the front wall. There was a wall-like fountain on both sides of the photograph.

I was mesmerized by the decor of this house. Every inch of this room was defining perfection. We entered the kitchen.

Her mother was standing behind the kitchen island. When I looked at her, I was stunned. I stood there gawking at her. She was so beautiful. She wasn't looking like a mother of an 18-year-old boy.

She smiled shyly at me. Xavier closed my mouth with his hand, then I realized that she asked me something.

"I'm sorry, you are very beautiful," I said still in the daze.

"So you are sorry because I'm beautiful?" She asked.

I got nervous. I think I said something wrong. Before I could say anything she started laughing.

She came over to me and hugged me.

"I like her." She said to Xavier.

"Me too." His reply made me and his mother, both shocked.

How can he say something like this so casually? And that too, in front of his mom. Please god, just tear the ground, so I can bury myself.

I don't think he realized what he just said, because even after saying that, he still, was staring at me openly.

I pinched him from behind. Then he moved his eyes from me. His mom smiled at us.

"Are you hungry dear?" She asked me.

"No. Please don't bother. I'm not hungry." I replied, but obviously, Xavier said otherwise.

"Yes, mom. Please make egg rolls." He said.

"I didn't ask you. I will cook what she wants to eat." His mom said.

"I'm your favorite son. How can you do that to me? You met her today only and your love for me changed. Oh, my heart can't take it." Xavier was overreacting. His mom hit him on the head.

"Shut up. She is your friend. And who said you are my favorite son?" She replied and winked at me.

I am totally in love with this woman. I miss my mom, after seeing her.

"Dear, you tell me what do you like. I'll make that." She asked me again. I could not refuse her anymore.

"Egg rolls will be good," I replied.

" Egg rolls, it is then. I'll call you when I'm done. You can wait in his room." She told us.

"Xav, keep your door open. You know what I mean." She said and my face goes full-on red. She chuckled.

"Mom, please don't embarrass me," Xavier said. His cheeks turned a light shade of pink too.

He took my hand and take me towards the staircase. The first door to the right was his room, I guess because we entered it.

His room was... Very clean. Nothing like I imagined a guy's room to be.

The whole room had white and royal blue combination decor. There was a wall full of photographs of him doing different and crazy things. I went there and looked at them. David was also there in some pictures.

There was a particular picture that caught my eyes. It was of a sunset on a beach and Xavier's only one side of the face visible. It was candid.

"When is that?" I asked him. He came behind me and looked at the picture.

"My little brother took it. My dad took me to his office for the first time that day. That day I decided what I really want to do. I was very satisfied with that day. My whole family went to the beach and we spent the whole evening there." He was telling me with a big smile on his face.

I like it when he seems happy. I was looking at him. He is very tall, that I was coming under his chin.

So when he looked at me, our faces were very close. My breath stopped. My mind was buzzing. Like there no signals going to my brain.

We were standing there as it is when the door was suddenly got open.

"Xav, mom said your girlfriend is... What are you two doing?" A boy came in. From his features, I can tell that this little guy is Xavier's little brother.

"Nothing." We both shouted together.

"Yeah, yeah. I can see that. Mom said lunch is ready. And thanks Xav, for leaving your brother to take a ride home with that psycho cousin of ours." He replied angrily.

"Oh shit. I totally forgot about you." Xavier apologized.

"What a thing to say to your brother that you forget about him." His brother said.

"Is David here?" Xavier asked.

Why there are so many people here? I should go now. I can't stay here any longer.

Xavier and I went downstairs and had lunch. I was ready to leave when his father came home.

"So, you are Anna?" Xavier's father asked.

"Yes, sir," I replied.

"No need to be so formal. Call me Luke" Xavier's father said.

"I'm Jane. Sorry I didn't tell you my name." Xavier's mother said.

We all had lunch. Xavier's little brother's name is Max.

I don't know how can god be this partial. Xavier's whole family looks like they are models.

I did not notice when the time passed. Luke asked me to come to his study room for some reason. Xavier becomes serious with that. Which made me more nervous.
