"Hello, can we come in?" Mani heads to the door, opening it to see the professor standing there, along with Jamie, Tyler and a very on edge Jojo. "How is the patient?" The professor says, now heading towards the bed, instantly pressing a hand to Teddy's head. "You feel hot."

"Is there any wonder? You have surrounded me with vampires. I want to leave." Teddy says, as he begins to pull off the sticky patches from his skin. The wires fall haphazardly to the bed.

"You need observation. You could have died." Jamie says, approaching the bed. "It's in everyone's interest if you live. If Theodore Tate dies on vampire territory, no piece of well meaning words on paper will stop a war."

"Then why did you bring me here?" Teddy protests once again.

"Because now we are on the same side." Tyler reminds him, stepping forwards. "I will always have your back. Both of you. "Tyler pats both Mani and Teddy on the shoulder.

"This is bulshit."

Everyone turns to look at Jojo, standing by the closed door.

"What did you say?" Teddy questions with confusion.

"What do you mean Jojo?" Mani asks, now turning to face his friend.

"Vampires and werewolves getting on. Don't make me laugh." He begins to snicker at his own words, but there is an undertone to the laughter.

"I told you Jojo. We are wolfkind, not werewolves." Mani correct

"And James and I are beings." Professor Kelly adds.

"I'm a vampire." Tyler raises his hand. "But the pills… y'know…"

"Did any of you wonder who I was?" Jojo now steps away from the door. He walks slowly towards the others in the room.

"You're Jojo. My friend…" Mani steps up to Jojo, looking up at him.

"Ah yes. Jojo the friend. The pointless one. Always a sidekick, never the lead." He puts a hand on Man's shoulder, leaning close to Mani's ear. "Technically I had you first." He pulls back, grinning at the omega, with Mani looking back at him with confusion.

"Jojo?"

"Jojo…who?" He raises an eyebrow. "Do any of you know my last name?"

The room momentarily goes quiet. "Oh wait, I know your last name. It's Cooper." The professor says.

"Is that supposed to mean something?" Teddy questions from the bed. But Jojo pays the alpha no attention.

"Professor Kelly, you disappoint me. I thought you knew everything about everything." He tuts as he shakes his head. "At least one of us did some digging. Doctor Kelly, human born, bitten by his lover, a man who works tirelessly to rid the world of these creatures, despite being one himself. A man whose research was based on the works of one great man. My ancestor. Mr Van Helsing…"

"You…you are a descendant of Mr Van Helsing?" Professor Kelly repeats.

"Yes. And I idolised you professor. You are the reason why I wanted to study here. Just to meet you. Know your methods to rid the world of anything not human born."

"Then you don't know me that well Jojo. That was and is not my intention. I want to unite, not divide." The professor adds.

"And how well is that going for you all huh? Three of you hide behind pills, you're stressing because you are surrounded by your age old enemy, with which apparently now you are best pals with and as for you…" Jojo again turns to Mani. "You and your stupid ideas of love. I saw you first!"

"I've had enough of this." Teddy gets up from the bed to head towards Jojo, but Jojo pulls something from his pocket.

"Stay back!" He says, his voice coming over all shrill as he points a small pistol at Teddy's chest.

"Shit! Jojo, what are you doing?" Mani shouts, though feels paralysed to move.

"Silver bullet." He says with a grin. "You see, I did a little wolf research too." He winks at Mani as if he is proud of himself.

"Jojo, don't do this. This is between you and me. Not him."

"But you didn't choose him. Fate chose him didn't it!" Jojo shouts. "You would have chosen me if he hadn't come along with his big alpha muscles, blonde hair and blue eyes. At least you softened him up for me, so I could get close. You don't think I really wanted you two to be together did you?"

"Is this what it's all about? You're jealous?" Teddy says through gritted teeth.

"Oh you would love that wouldn't you. This is much bigger than you. Bigger than any of you." Jojo shouts. "You always underestimate humankind, but we have the ultimate power and do you know why?"

"I imagine you're going to tell us." Jamie says trying to keep his sarcastic undertone to a minimum.

"We are supreme. We don't have to hide, we don't have to be ashamed of ourselves, we are not governed by fate and you cannot read my mind." Jojo says laughing. "Because If you did, then you would have known that in five seconds from now. I'm going to pull this trigger and start your fucking war. ..four… three… two…"

The door bursts open.

"...One." Two hands grab at the back of Jojo's head and with a clean break, Jojo falls to the ground.

Mani dashes to Teddy who is still standing still with shock. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm ok." He wraps his hands around his omega, with Mani pulling him close.

"Dad!" Tyler shouts as he runs to his father by the door.

"Mr Klein!" The professor exclaims as he sees the vampire.

Tyler's father looks down at Jojo in a heap on the floor. "If there's one thing I cannot stand more that the wolfkind, it's fucking humans."

SWEET BLOOD

How does it feel to be caught between humanity and the darkness? For John and his brother Jamie it is a torture. Keeping up the daily pretence of a normal human life. But beneath the surface, harbours the continuous thirst. That need for seeking satisfaction the only way a half vampire can. Blood lust. But will anyone be able to show them the light?

Jamie opens his work locker, pulling out his own clothes to change back into. The thoughts of last night playing on his mind. He didn't show it to John, but Jamie was scared. Scared of John's reckless behaviour. John needed to keep a hold of his urges or they would both be in serious trouble.

He takes his clothes and sits on the nearby bench, placing them by his side. He leans forward resting his face in his hands. Jamie was tired. Tired of feeling the urge to feed all the time, tired of worrying about his brother. He just wanted it all to end.

"Hey, you ok?" Jamie looks up to see a senior colleague looking at him with a concerned look on his face.

"I'm fine Doctor Kelly, just tired that's all" Jamie fakes a smile at the young doctor stood in front of him.

"We're off duty now, call me Rowan."

Jamie chuckles. "I'm ok Rowan, just tired."

"Well if you need to talk, you know where to find me." Rowan smiles.

Jamie smiles back as he watches Rowan turn to walk away. Jamie wonders momentarily if he should say something... well not the exact truth but he couldn't carry on this way, for John's sake as well as his own. "Uh Doctor Kelly...Rowan!" Rowan turns around again, looking at Jamie. "What do you know about blood disorders?"
